Call it vi. Pronounce it however you like, but canonically spelled like an acronym. It uses it/she, emphasis on the it/. This blog is maintained by an adult. If you don't want to see things an adult might post or reblog, you shouldn't be here. This blog is a gimmick blog in name only. vi is software for a discontinued operating system, and most Linux distributions include it as a symlink to vim. It's not my real name, but I don't mind being called vi. You'll find the occasional Linux-related reblog here. You'll actually find almost nothing but reblogs here; I feel as if I'm only allowed to post about Linux and vi, and I feel horribly unqualified to post about either. Maybe you can help me break that habit by sending an ask or two?
I'm sorry to say that I'm not in the habit of tagging things. The least I do is tag posts that I make myself.
#“/new/text” [new file] includes its original posts. It used to add the line number as part of the tag, but all those have been edited to be without. It also used to add character count as a separate tag. That was dumb.
#asks for all things it gets asked. Paired with a tag for the url of the asker, or #anonymous asks if anonymous.
Other miscellaneous tags include #vi, #not vi, #linuxposting, #not linuxposting, #unixposting, and others I can't be bothered to look for. It doesn't actually use these often and usually neglects to add them.
And, since this post will be replacing my old pinned post. #vi: pins will now serve to mark posts that I still want to highlight. Those will also be linked below:
