this genuinely makes me so mad. some of you really don’t deserve fanfics. at all.

comment like this, besides the ai witch hunt, is one of the reasons why fanfic writers don’t want to post their fics anymore.

we write for free. whenever we can. whenever we have time. whenever we’re not too exhausted by life and responsibilities. we write for our own enjoyment. as a hobby. not a job. we update whenever we can. whenever we want. we do not owe anybody anything.

one of my favorite fics was updated after literal 13 years. but the point is that fanfic writers do not owe you anything. whether a fic was abandoned forever or updated after a decade or two is not something you as a stranger has a say in.

stop being entitled. stop treating fanfic writer as a content farm or a machine that produces contents for your enjoyment.

we’re not your employees. we’re not your slaves. we’re kind enough to share what we write for our own enjoyment with you for free. so either respect and appreciate us or be quiet.

Some fics are longer than regular BOOKS/NOVELS that you can buy in a bookstore. Some of us writers are literally giving you BOOKS or even MULTIPLE BOOKS like in a series..FOR FREE! And yet that isn't good enough because "when is the next chapter going to be uploaded?".

"He had been young and stupid. Had insisted to be a part of everything. Be the best of everything. The fastest, the strongest, smartest and of course; the most handsome. To be somebody. Someone respected in the 'outside world'.

And the faceless voice that had pretty much "raised him" (since they took him away from his mother).. had promised him all of that. IF he would undergo a so called 'treatment'....."

“wow I created something beautiful today”

and sometimes you’re like

“oh i just spent 4 hours researching whether this character would realistically bleed out under different circumstances”

if no one reads it,

if it’s just a few lines,

if it stays unfinished.

But writing doesn’t become real

because it’s seen.

It’s real the moment you do it.

Happy 2nd Friday 13th, y'all!✌

I am usually lucky at the 1st Friday 13th of the year and then I have bad luck for the others.. (if there are more than one in the same year)

As for the R+ fic series (Huld) I want to write 2 chapters today but I'm scared something will happen to my laptop...

(I need a new one anyway though but would be nice if nothing happened today..)

There is a special chapter for the fic series that I have had in my head for about a week now... ⚡⚡🔥🔥🔥⚡⚡

(And sometimes I can't stop thinking about certain characters and so they have to be the main focus for a while).

The REAL LIFE Richard Kruspe once said (about song writing) that

"some songs wants to be written".

I feel that too but with writing characters! Some characters just nags my brain and really wants me to write their story.

I'm not gonna reveal who this character is but I have thought a lot about them lately...anyway;

"Huld" isn't gonna write itself! Time for a shower and get crackin' on another 2 chapters! (That MIGHT be posted tonight..or not..we'll see.)

Finally starting to understand some of the settings on Ao3 so here are the 2 FIRST CHAPTERS to my R+ fic series! (But a Prologue + 2 chapters! So you'll have a little more to read/dig into.)

"He had been chased for hours now, by the tormenting cackling sound of an infant. Yes, the monster now gurgled like a blissful baby but with a mouth most likely filled with blood than of spit! Strawberries, Corona Cero (because I hate drinking alcohol alone) and some very sad chapter/s despite it's Valentine's Day..

I know I mentioned that the "NSFW looking dessert" I posted about earlier, would probably inspire me to write somethin...similar..

However, I have to write more cronologically if I'm ever going to get done with the first part of the fic series, and I genuinly feel like my writing is getting better than when I started back in 2018 (Can't believe it's been 8 years!)

I feel that my text is less cringy, and shorter (more to the point), and I feel more confident in what I write. To be honest; It feels great to write again! (despite barely getting Kudos/comments but I hope it will come with time..)

I think I might even post something tonight! Would y'all have liked that? Maybe even two chapters!

I am starting to feel good about "Ewige Herzen /Im Hauch des Winters".

I'm guessing it is going to be an "all-nighter" though, after completing two chapters, and then having to edit a third (that I don't think will be posted tonight..)

It's always "All-nighters" when I'm writing. When I'm "In the zone". Longest I have written and edited without a break was about..10 or 11 hours. No food. Nothing to drink. No toilet break. No sleep. Just typing and smiling throughout the night.

@99flakeandsprinkles thank you for being so supportive. I promise I will read your fic too. I've just been bummed out lately. But I hope you enjoy my next chapter/s, even though it won't be about your favourite keyboardplayer/doktor.

PSA to all writers,

there appears to be a surge of newly created tumblr blogs mass reaching out to people who post anything related to writing (under writing-related tags) and offering to "beta read their works" for them.

I don't know if they are bots trying to trick people into handing their works to them (so they can then use these works to train their ai machine), or if they have any other ill intentions. but the way they are approaching people (and how all of them are newly created blogs) makes me extremely wary.

as someone who prefers to work alone without a beta reader and someone who will only reach out to a trusted friend (whom I personally know) for beta reading, if I ever want one, I don't know if it's normal for people to reach out to random people and offer to beta read their works for them like this, but I've never seen it before until recently. and I've always been under the impression that a beta reader, especially for fanfics, is someone within the same fandom an author is in, and someone who's friends with an author (or at the very least online mutuals). these new "beta-reading blogs" are apparently reaching out to a lot of random people across various random fandoms, and if I'm being honest, they sound extremely sketchy.

I will apologize if they are legit and if they are real people who genuinely want to help, but from how things look right now, I don't trust them. and I'd advise that you be careful, especially now with the rise of scam bots that are plaguing both tumblr and ao3.
