hi all! myself, @kazoofiasco and @airshipvalentine have been craving a wolf 359 relisten (since its ten-year anniversary was in august!) and wondered if folks would be interested in a chill community listen-along, book club style. no formal gathering place, just a tag and a schedule of 2 or 3 episodes a week so that folks can post and engage with each other, whether relistening or listening for the first time! if there’s interest, further updates and a tentative october start date will be @wolf359radioclub :)

what gets me about minkowski and eiffel's relationship is that they are the polar opposite of "i would find you in every life" like i don't think they'd find each other in ANY other life!! they don't share interests; their values conflict; their personal habits and hygiene standards drive each other crazy. the fact that they end up desperately important to each other isn't based on any kind of personal compatibility, but just the bare minimum of "you are a person and you want to go home and we are in hell together" and that's ENOUGH because that's more than the prevailing powers want to allow them. minkowski is determined to get them home and eiffel is determined to make sure they do it without sacrificing what makes them people and it's moving to me that this scraped-bedrock common ground is enough for love to grow from

Kepler's three legged pig story in episode 34 is GUT RENCHING if you picture Jacobi with a prosthetic arm.

Everyone keeps pointing out that Kepler loses a hand which is a good point. He becomes the pig as he is no longer seen as useful enough to keep around. But I'm talking about Kelper basically threatening Jacobi right in front of Eiffel (and probably several times before that). He's saying 'no matter how good you are you can be used as soulless meat'. And if Jacobi lost his arm becuase of an explosion he made he not only made himself worse at the thing he's the best at (assume his prosthetic is not as easy to use as an organic hand) but he was also one limb down before he even joined GF.

The point of the 3-legged-pig story is that it may be able to do everything and be the most useful pig you've ever seen, but it is still a pig and will be eaten. Jacobi is still a human. Kepler is saying 'you are not special, GF will still see you are just as disposable as everyone else, and so will I'

It is poetic the this is Kepler's fate more then it is Jacobi's though.

okay before i start this post i am going to clarify. i am gay (unlabelled) and i ship holmes/watson in practically every adaptation.

can you guys fucking shut up about sherlock & co "queerbaiting". can two men seriously just not be friends anymore?

some of you seriously need to take off your yaoi goggles off and learn what a male friendship is. NOTHING in sherlock & co so far between sherlock and john has been blatantly queer (nor do i believe it has been in subtext). "what about this scene!!!" i need you to understand this is your HEADCANON. this is you HEADCANONING what you see from a scene.

i love sherlock x john in sherlock & co a lot! but i recognise that nothing so far has been gay between them because their friendship is STILL DEVELOPING. i seriously cannot comprehend how people are ALREADY accusing this series of queerbaiting if it doesn't make them canon. YOU GUYS ARE THE REASON PEOPLE DONT TAKE QUEERBAITING CLAIMS SERIOUSLY ANYMORE!

adding onto my previous post about mariana, this exact reason is why people belittle her character down as a "threat" to a gay ship (even though she's ALSO only acted as a friend to sherlock and john)

it'd be nice if it became canon. id be super happy if it became canon. but i am not expecting it to be canon. i will not claim from what we have seen so far that we were queerbaited if it doesn't become canon. and if you do (from what we have seen so far, if the series seriously does queerbait us ovb this doesn't apply) i think you're a dumbass.
