This book shows some of the positives and negatives of working from home. But it also shows an article of someone currently living these struggles today.

These are two designs I created using shapes on Adobe Illustrator. I created these to use on my front and back cover of my book. I just went for a simple graphic design and I also picked colours that went well with my colour pallet.
These are my two infographic designs I’ve come up with. I think they turned out well because they show the statistics in a creative way. (See the websites below for where I got my data from). I think I’m definitely going to use these in my final piece.
These are my infographic idea drawing. I drew some drawings so I could get a visual idea of some thigs I could create for my infographic. I think it turned out well because It’s helped me develop my ideas further. To go forward I’m going to create my infographic for my book.
This, is some more data I found for working from home and the biggest struggles people go though. I think this data will help me when creating my infographic.
We have compiled research to look at how working from home affects employee productivity, wellbeing and how this current situation will impact businesses.
Here, I found data for working from home. I’m going to use this data when I create my infographic for my book. I think doing this will allow me to show the effects of working from home has on people and it will also help me when I create my work.
This is my infographics mood board, I found examples of working from home infographics. I think this will help me when I make my own infographics for my book. I’m going to put these ideas together to influence my own work.
Here, is my chosen colour pallet for my book. I think the neutral tones in it link to a homely feel, also I chose a colour pallet that was for different rooms in a house. I did this because it could potentially be the colours of someone’s rooms in their home when they are studying. Finally, the neutral tones give off a calm studying vibe too.
Here, I got my friend to answer some questions for my article. My chosen topic is studying from home during the pandemic. I think this article turned out well because it got a true students perspective during these tough times. To improve this, I’m going to write it out digitally into a full article.
Here’s some examples of colour pallet ideas I’ve found. I think for my book I’m going to choose a neutral light blues and grays pallet. Because my topic is studying from home I looked at home colour schemes for different rooms in the house where someone may study from home. Doing this has given me a good understanding/ idea on the sort of colours that I can use for my own work.
Here, is some examples of page layout ideas. I think it turned out well because It gave me an idea of layouts I could use. Also it gave me ideas on what I could have for different page topics. Going forward I will do some more detailed drawings and start creating my magazine while I carry on researching. With this I will do a question list for my interview too.
These are some of my front cover idea drawings. I think they turned out well because they gave me an ideas for my front cover. In addition, to improve these I could’ve labelled them clearer.

Here, I looked at ways i could plan my study. I’m going to do a douple page spread on planning time and your schedule to make sure you get your work done and get the right sort of life work balance you need. Also, I looked at different photographs of peoples work set ups from home which I was thinking I could re draw something similar to convey my work and what the book is about.
About 15% of students are still living in their university cities during the pandemic.
This is an example of a article on how students can’t go home and visit their families during the pandemic but still are trying to study from university halls. I thought this was interesting because it gave me ideas on questions I could ask for my interview article such as how’s studying from university halls? How are you finding it not being able to travel due to Covid 19 ect.
This Tedx video talks about how e-learning is killing education. It’s interesting because he talks about real life stories and how you can relate that into education and it makes the lecture more interesting instead of putting on a powerpoint with the same bullet points on the same topics. I thought this was interesting because it gave me ideas on questions and different points of view I can do my interview on. Finally, he talks about this story approach having no competition against the bullet point approach, I just thought it was an interesting angle to look at studying and learning from home.
I found an example here about how covid 19 is affecting higher education and how higher education is going to change potentially over the next century. It also talks about the impact of moving education online has on students and how working from home is so much different than going to lectures, workshops and seminars in person. This also gives me questions for my interview article on how students are affected by this massive change in their education career.
Here, is another example of ways you can study from home. Some of the tips I found are moving study locations from a different rooms in your house to things like apps you can manage your study time and breaks on. I think this is really helpful for my research because it gives me an idea of questions I can ask such as what are your study tips? How do you stay motivated? ect.
