I feel this information is better to be on it’s own as it deserve more attention and knowledge.
People tend to mythologize black panthers in the past. It is good to study history of the black panthers and BLA to understand their success, failures, state repression and strategies. But black panthers are not just in the past. Black panthers are still alive and still in the struggle like Sekou Odinga and Jalil Muntaqim who from the moment stepping out of prison started the fight for political prisoners in the US. Some of them are living as political prisoners in horrible conditions. We just lost Russell Maroon Shoatz to state medical negligence.
We should support out freedom fighters and revolutionaries. And do all we can to free them from the state repression and not just talk about them in a mythical past.
