It started with Intro/Destiny Arrives, but after I've finished the pianos, I added another song... so it grew...and the amount escalated quickly^^ An official released OST is still missing, so: Big special thanks to the people here on Youtube, who uploaded the extractions of the music that  played during the episodes and removed a huge amount of the environmental sounds, dialogues and other non-music-stuff via EQ. This made it somehow less complicated to identify notes, even if the overall quality still let it be a challenge due to noise, pumping, changing volume etc.: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4335BE310D821542 This is all by ear = no tabs, and it contains no original audio! ... and was probably my most challenging attempt in mixing until now^^ Some songs are more close to the original, others have some more variations ;P Because there is no official released OST, I didn't want to be too "experimental" and destroy more than create^^ Overall it has less loudness than professional mastered stuff, but I really didn't want to hypercompress this, even because I never mixed instruments this way and didn't want to overdo it, just because everything else in the music-biz is loudness-war-mastered as standard... *The rhythms in Song N°2 are inspired from the "Dialing Earth"-Piano version by Youtube-user - Rinerion - :) I liked those ones and remebered them during the jammingtracks. A small Gauntlet-melody is in the middle, because the series also stopped near the middle (SGU was designed for five seasons), so I don't see the end of S2 as the end of the series, it's in stasis,for longer than the expected three years. I can't really play piano,but also wanted to do something with the "Gauntlet"-Melody and didn't only want to simply use another one's MIDI. Somehow I also wanted to make it sound more positive and driven, not just like the "sad ending theme" it normally is! I hope it worked^^ Diving in the sun that was such a nice episode.It was a bit hard to figure out the strings in the background, but I hope, they're not too much off^^ Limelight - is this a single song or just an intro-part of CtD? I just took it as it's been named in a yt-playlist, but I have no problem with this as a single song. Countdown  to Destiny - I dropped a small part and one repeated track in the end, but I hope you won't kill me because of that^^ The only Mission is Survival - somehow the original song sounds a bit like it's from Babylon5, just imagine it with 90's strings oO Maybe I'll also cover further SGU-songs, that's just a matter of time^__^ but not as a pseudo-medley again, as single ones :) „Wrong People“ for example, which I also include into this one here^^ Maybe we'll get more soundtracks and even a real OST-Release, when the series continue,so pls. sign that petition :) Thanks to everyone who'll sign and like, share, comment mine. ... Stargate Reboot as Trilogy and how that fits together with the series! =^. .^=

Let me set some spotlight onto a very old dilemma that's unnecessarily splitting the fanbase: The movie from 1994 Stargate will finally be rebooted.

... are this good or bad news? That's depending on our point of view! Let me explain you mine :) I count myself to the ones, who liked both, the movie and the series (not because I'm a fanboy, I'm also critical in some ways ;) )

Roland Emmerich, who created Stargate, was never happy with the way SG1 and all the following rest turned out, because he had other plans, his own artistic vision and Stargate was intended to be a trilogy with a total different story!

BUT!: The 1994-movie and the series are in fact two different universes! Otherwise Ra in the movie would have been an Asgard or at least something with a similar appearance^^ The movie and the series can exist at the same time and build upon each other. That still wouldn't harm the known Canon because already very soon in the series it's also common that there is a nearly infinite amount of alternate universes. Episode: 1x19 "There But for the Grace of God" [Die Invasion (1)] - Later in the series are even more plots with parallel universes [especially 9x13, 10x13 and even the movie Continuum] Very probably there are some universes, where no Goa'uld, no Asgard and nothing of the rest ever evolved and the whole history was like Roland Emmerich ever wanted it to be, there are infinite possibilities :) - I often read that Ra's Host was an older Asgard called "Famrir" who successfully resisted, so Ra had to go into a human body, but when the A-bomb explodes, there's still that asgard-like-appearance beneath the human host. - In the movie it's "O’Neil" ; in the series O’Neill with 2x L (in one episode there was also a hidden fun with that^^)- His son: Taylor in the movie, but Charlie in the series.- The Stargate Center in the movie: under the Creek Mountain, in the series under the Cheyenne Mountain....so the series were not a continuation, they're another Story in the whole multiverse with a similar beginning^^At the latest since that mirror-episode 1x19 that's not nonsense! So Mr. Emmerich, keep cool, do what you do and don't hold a grudge against your "unwanted series-child", everything is okay :D

C'mon, I mean, if the Stargate-series had an altered design and were named different - for example "Wormhole Extreme", there would be no problem (except that shitty name^^)

I think the main problem is, that - in the eyes of some people - the series claim to be the continuation of the movie and that logically cannot be true, otherwise it had to be explained why Goa'uld don't look like Asgard or Ra was an Asgard or a Goa'uld within an Asgard-like-species and Ra's soldiers were humans and not Jaffa etc. ,but that has not been done,so it's not a continuation, it's just another Story in the whole multiverse with a similar beginning. A first and real continuation of the initial movie awaits us with the reboot! You see, there is no problem in letting the movies and the series exist at the same time, they indeed share some similarities, but not in every aspect :) So I'm curious, how that trilogy will be and I'll always think about it as a standalone-universe :) I liked all and I still do and whatever comes, nothing can destroy the Nostalgia, that all of it brought to me :) At the same time I still hope for the continuation of the series, especially the most serious one "Stargate Universe", so please sign this petition and Save SGU, bring it back! https://www.change.org/petitions/netflix-save-stargate-universe?share_id=iguCwFYXBS&utm_campaign=share_button_action_box&utm_medium=facebook&utm_source=share_petition
