New year new home

So I'm now finally moving home after saying for the last gazillion years I want to move. Contracts are signed and now awaiting completion . My dream home is a 3 bedroom bungalow . I've been struggling a while now with my mobility due to fibromyalgia and chronic back pain from arthritis and bulging discs . I always said I wanted to move because too many bad memories in this house that haunt me and I can't keep up with the cleaning , also I've never got any spare money for nice things or a holiday

I'm so excited to be starting a new chapter in my life. Hopefully no one will dampen my spirits after a terrible year of bad family members trying to wreck my head and being vindictive against me

Let's see if Moving really does help with my mental health . They say you can move but you have to take your head with you

Fresh food is still fresh after its use by date

My leek, lemons ,oranges, mushrooms and peppers were more than a few days passed it but they were still fresh . My yoghurt was best by the day before but it tastes fine . Yummy

Bottom of the fridge covid clear out

I've been stuck in for 8 days and my freezer and fridge are looking sorry. Abracadabra and I've made Two pizza and some leek and cheesy potato soup. At least the isolation has helped me clear my food out. Looking forward to my next big shop

Nails Nails Nails

I started training to become a nail technician 3 months . I always thought I'm told old to do anything new or ill never be good enough, but we are never too old to do new things . Not only will it give me an income, I also find it very therapeutic and good for my mental health

Move over phoebe

This is the second song I wrote... 8 years ago. It's kind of embarrassing but I wrote it anyway. Not as embarrassing as my first though... no one will hear that one 😂😂😂😂 I had been teaching myself to play the guitar a couple of months at this point... I find playing guitar and writing songs helpful in expressing how I feel and its soothes my soul and overthinking brain 🧠 🙃

Fridge clearout gems

Today I cleared the fridge out of past its best fresh produce. Leek and potato soup, tomato chutney ,strawberry jam and I blanched the cauliflower and froze it for another day. Most of this stuff was donated from my mums fridge and then left to fester in mine 😂😂 waste not want not. I hate throwing food in the bin

Cross roads lead to a destination

I mainly have no idea who i am or what I want to do.

I'm retaking a barbering course in September and retaking my English and maths and maybe next year a level 2 course on something , so its a start.

I have to take everything one step at a time and try and figure myself out because all these years I've just been an entity for everyone else with no idea who I really am, What I want to do, no boundaries,no voice. I don't even know if I want to work in a salon. I just know I want to go to college and learn something and make changes in my life

Turn that trash into cash.

This Sunday me and my daughter did a carboot sale. We didn't make a fortune but £80.00 between us both after pitch fees deducted (£7) . It was worth getting out of bed for. Now I'm £50.00 better off and I would have usually spent about £20/£30 walking round . Although it's worth my while walking round buying things we need and new stuff as presents for every occasion. Hopefully another carboot sale soon and start clearing everything i don't want, need or use ready for when I am ready to sell up and move. I cannot wait for things to start coming together for me . Hopeful for the future

Yesterday was absolutely awful. My whole life felt like it was nothing. But it's all in my head, I'm my own worse enemy .Thank god for newer brighter days.

Today i took my son around college for his tour ...it made me remember that I'm Looking forward to enrolling into college myself for barbering and retaking English and maths. I thought I'm too old to do college with all the young ones, but what the hell. I can do what I want , age is no limit

Do or Dye

I'd love to have different hair colour,but I'm so scared I'll frazzle my hair and I'd look daft.My hair is the dark brown one. I've been playing around with a hair dye app..I'd go for green if I had the courage ... I do like the purple one too 💕💕💕💕

My son is such a thoughtful young man

My second eldest son came home with a fitbit gift for me. When I asked him why he's wasted his money on me he replied "because you're worth it" He knows i haven't been sleeping well and said it will track my R.E.M

I felt so emotional as it's hard to believe your worth anything when you feel worthless pretty much all the time.

I'd be lost without my kids, they bring me unconditional love and the love I feel for them is unmeasurable. I know to them I am their everything and that I'm worth it to them

Body dismorphia

I'm Caught between the devil and the deep blue sea where my weight is concerned. I know in reality that I'm not fat , but I'm on the scales every day , I look in the mirror and I don't like what I see, I over accentuate it in my head and pull myself down.....

And then some days I want to bin my scales because I realise I'm too hard on myself. I'm 47, 10st 7lbs and 5ft 5. I'm in my ideal range . I want to be happy in my own skin. The number on the scales has never made me happy...just miserable. Media makes it worse when you see all the airbrushed photos of other women that make you feel not good enough

Future goals is to work on my mental health and learn to love myself. Because I am not what I see in the mirror or what my silly head says I am

Not a budget meal at all, but I invited my friend Around who is moving back to their home town 100 miles away so it was a farewell and good luck meal

Cheeseburger, pulled chicken,kfc fillet, sausage and streaky bacon...chips and onion rings. The last twonlook slight burnt , but its the first two that wasn't toasted enough . Yummy, I was so full. I had great expectations but only managed to eat 3 😂😂

Good luck Chinese cuisine

Well it didn't bring me Good luck but it tasted good.. all home made using what I already had in. I feel like I've gained a stone. I'm back on my diet again tomorrow . I've been so good and lost half a stone and maintained.. so i need to watch myself or I'll undo all my hard work. I feel better within myself mentally when I lose weight, and it is important for me right now because I'm not emotionally In a good place 😕
