i'm very sorry to say this, but there is no justifying eun-mi

the thing to remember here is that in bloodmoney, we play as ourselves, which means that before starting the game, we are a blank slate. this is why there's a good ending, a true ending, and a bad ending. it's a spectrum of morality because our actions depend entirely on us.

however, in human expenditure program, we play as eun-mi, who's personality and morality have already been set. this is why there's no good ending, only a true ending and a dead ending. because of who eun-mi is, there's no route to take where harvey isn't fucked over

you know what else she could do? work at wendy's or something. how is "upload my husband's consciousness to a flash game and let people torture him on steam for crypto" the best option? it's sadistic and cruel, and she admits in-game that she knew harvey wouldn't have the balls to fight back against the players, implying that this isn't the first time she's taken advantage of his kindness

honestly, you're probably right. because of the mostly queer fanbase bloodmoney and human expenditure program have, the fandom would just chalk it up to "toxic yaoi" and make whump fanfics. but that shouldn't be your focus. it's a good argument for ragatha from tadc, mabel from gravity falls, or any other female character who has flaws, but those characters are still good. just complex in a misogynistic world that can't comprehend it. it's a horrible argument to try and make eun-mi's behavior seem reasonable. she absolutely deserves the hate she gets, there's no other way to spin it
