Palestine Donations
I finally got around to looking at my asks and messages, and all of them are asking for donations.
I want to help as many people as I can, but I personally do not have the knowledge on how to properly vet campaigns, and rely on people like @gazavetters and @90-ghost for information on if a campaign is legit, as well as looking up a person's blog name to see if anyone has talked about if they are vetted or a known scam.
I say this because a lot of these asks claim to be vetted by gazavetters, however with names that are slightly different than what's on the vetted list (At least one also had a different link as well), in what I assume is an attempt to steal donations from those who have been vetted. Another one I checked (that did not claim to be vetted) led to a blog with only a single post asking for money.
It seems that the number of likely scams is severely overshadowing the number of genuine asks for help. And with that the likelihood of someone that needs help slipping through the cracks is also increasing.
You can find lists of vetted campaigns here and here. I also previously shared a couple campaigns. 1 2
Lastly, while I understand that, due to the large number of people needing help, these asks are important to draw attention to campaigns that might otherwise not receive as much help, I will not be accepting asks or messages asking for donations. As stated above, I don't know how to properly vet campaigns, and out of abundance of caution it tends to take me a long time to do what little I do know. Now that it appears that some are trying to appear as vetted campaigns, I am simply just unable to keep up.
I deeply apologize for anyone negatively affected by this decision.
