i’ve been on tumblr since 2013. it was a big thing for my formative years. honest. when I was about 12 I started going to catholic school, transferring away from the public school I went to my whole life. it was ultimately a good thing, though I didn’t see it at the time. the whole “being forced to go somewhere against my will” gave my young mind the resentment against my parents it needed to start questioning their political beliefs, tumblr unfortunately being the avenue I chose. tumblr really isn’t the best, but it turned me from a center-right robot to a communist so i’ll look back fondly on it anyway.

anyway, context aside, the whole nsfw purge seems like a bit of a sign. I get my news from much more reputable sources now, and I don’t really watch the cartoons I came here for anymore. on top of that, my ex, who goes to school with me, whom i have tried frantically to simply avoid due to the anxiety it brews in me, still knows this tumblr, so it’s function as a place to vent has been used up as well.

this has never been a blog with too many followers. I never really gave a shit enough to build that, and I never posted any of my art or other creative pursuits here. I got some pretty cool mutuals tho, and while I never reached out because i’m bad at digital communication, I appreciated the love and support they gave just by thinking I was decent enough to follow.
