26th March 2021: the @heartstoppercomic TV show cast read through! 📒✏️🎭
We wanted to share some photos with you of the cast read through that took place just before we started shooting the Heartstopper TV show earlier this year! 🌈
It was… quite an unusual read through, as you can see by everyone’s headgear. We had to be extremely strict with our covid precautions - we didn’t want any of our cast or crew to go down with covid or have to go into isolation right before the shoot began (or, like, any time, obviously!) so we were being as careful and safe as we could!
We’d been doing rehearsals for a week or so before this, but this day was the first time the whole lead cast met up all together in one place at one time, and it was the only time we’d go through the entire series in chronological order.
One special memory for me on this day was when they were reading through a scene in the show where it’s raining heavily… and outside, in the real world, it suddenly started absolutely chucking it down!! 🌧
It’s still quite a while before we’ll be able to show you anything directly from the show itself, so we hope you enjoy this little glimpse into the pre-production process and I hope I get to show you more soon! 🍂
