I am a complete fool and idiot for feeling anything about the fact that Absolute Superman is such a liberal story. It was never, under any circumstances, going to *not* be extremely weak, (christian) moralist liberal shit, and I deserve to have my head bashed in with a mallet for being remotely surprised/disappointed at this fact/development, just because of the edginess of the first few issues.

the book still insists on a mirage of absolute Kal-El as a saviour and redeemer, with a whole prophecy about him fundamentally changing the world, despite the obsession with making him a hopecore status-quo lib who never kills evildoers or destroys oppressive systems.

Considering the many facts and themes of this story, it literally makes no sense at all that taking Ra's to a Pakistani jail would've resulted in a fair trial and a prison sentence, or that GATES would destroy and absorb Lazarus Corp instead of bailing Ra's out and killing all the Smallvile survivors to control the narrative.

In other words: I lost a game of chess to a dog.

My experience of trying to engage with musical theater is hearing a song that is irritating, uninspiring, and lyrically obvious and finding out that it won all the tonys, kept its show on broadway for 300 years, and has been linked to the deaths of nearly a thousand theater kids per year who tear out their hearts in a fit of ecstatic passion, then listening to a song you think is pretty good and being told that it was performed once and the audience burned down the theater because they hated the song so much.

I need people to know im only half joking. Taking the LSAT was such a degrading experience. They constantly treat you under the assumption you're trying to cheat or help somebody else cheat. e.g. I had to turn out my pockets no less than 4 times over the course of taking the exam, which is PART OF THE ADMISSION PROCESS TO LAW SCHOOL. This is not the bar or anything like that, this is just to see if you are permitted to have a legal education.
