anyway i think phm the movie managed to pack in an astonishing amount of plot and characterisation while preserving mood and pacing, there's a lot of moments where i'm repeatedly impressed at how effectively they do this, but also, there's so many scenes and parts of scenes that i wish they could have included. why didn't they make the movie five hours long just for me personally.
