Anyway the real questions I'd like to ask allo people in fandom in an attempt to get them to understand maybe a little bit why aro and/or ace fans feel so upset and lonely all the time are:

Do you have any aro/ace headcanons? Are they of main characters? Your favorite characters? Characters you even like?

When was the last time you read a fic that featured an aro/ace character? Did you bookmark it? Did you leave a comment? Have you ever put one on a reclist?

Have you ever participated in a genfic exchange? Have you ever considered that things like exchanges rely in part on having a certain number of participants, otherwise assignments won't work?

Have you ever had your art tagged with the name of a ship you didn't personally like? How did that make you feel? Have you ever thought about the fact that other people might feel the same way? Maybe even about the ships you do like?

Bonus hard round:

Have you ever considered what kind of a message it sends to say "Just let me write stories/make art/reblog posts about the things I like!" and to then exclude an entire group of marginalized people from "The things you like"

Mom and dad are being weird as hell about the AC. Dad’s about to go out of town for a week for work, and mentioned mom would have to deal with the solution. Which means he doesn’t plan on having a solution before he leaves. And I know mom won’t hire anyone else while he’s gone, and that will be 4 weeks of no AC. And they know that and expect it?

I’m at my limit. I told mom I can’t deal with it and asked what I can do to get this going. They both just shrug. If it was a money issue, they’d tell me. So idk what’s going on and we’re starting week 3 of this.

I’m sleep-deprived, constantly sweating, it’s causing eczema, and me and my sister are irritated all the time from having no relief.

Sleeping somewhere else temporarily won’t really be temporary because they’re not fixing this!

Am I missing something?! Should I be more patient or understanding? Is it typical to let your AC be out for a while?

Why should my cat have to be stuck in the one room in the house with no AC/window unit/portable cooler, when it’s my sister’s cat who is the aggressive one who wants to hurt him? Why is my cat stuck in this nearly 90-degree room for 20 hours every day while I sleep and go to work? He gets 4 hours out of the bedroom when I get home from work, and those 4 of my awake-at-home hours, I’m on constant guard so the other cat doesn’t rip him up. And my sister won’t protect him. She just waits til they inevitably fight then puts her cat in her room for a bit. Then after a while she’ll ask if I think it’s okay if she lets him back out. I say yes, but no I don’t think it’s okay. In fact, how about we leave her cat in my hot room for the next 20 hours. And keep that up for the next 7 months. Give my cat a chance to rest, cool off, run around, explore. But I can’t say that because they were here first. I’m a guest. And I like cats and don’t actually wish that upon any cat, but mine has to deal with it because nobody else is helping. I want to move out so badly but I’ve got like 5 months left.
