Least favorite manager whose slack we all already had to pick up quit on the spot last week: awesome, good for her, wishing her well

Assistant manager who was more or less doing her job already gets promoted: Cool, well-deserved, hope he got a fat pay raise

Brand new manager goes out of town for six days and leaves me + 2 other managers to handle day-to-day operations: Holy shit it is like being hit by trucks over and over again

The problem with working somewhere for five years is you start having trouble distinguishing what parts of your job should be obvious/intuitive to new hires and which parts need to be explicitly laid out. In the interest of not becoming a bitter mean burnt out member of management I always err on the side of explaining everything and giving lots of grace for mistakes. However: Oh my god the stupidest college kids alive work here

I have an idea for a community festival. On this side of the lot we’re going to have some tables from community partners where they can give away free pencils and flyers and have conversations with families and community members. On the other side we’ve got the biggest speaker you’ve ever seen. And it’s going to blast music so loudly that people have to shout to be heard

A few beautiful robins on a warm afternoon! The robins were out full force on this day, and they looked wonderful doing it. The first and fifth images are of the same robin who I think is possibly the most gorgeous robin I've ever seen in my life lmao. His color is perfect, his feathers are silky, and his beak is nice and bright! I'm in love, and I'm not even a bird!
