So I've been speaking to this girl I met on a dating site and she just asked me what my preferred pronouns are. And in the sweetest freaking way.

"By the way, while I’m addressing you, what are your preferred pronouns? I realised I didn’t ask the other day. I’ve been using them/they and I wasn’t 110% sure. ☺️ x"

And it gave me a new sense of comfort. My profile says non-binary but im not out to everyone I know. But with her, she's always seen me as non-binary and addresses me as such. And so I feel comfortable knowing that she hasn't blindly been associating me with a gender. Which we naturally do. Even friends I've now come out to will probably see me as female even though they use my preferred pronouns just because thats how they've always seen me. But now I can feel loved and judged by a person who sees me for me with no expectations
