Though the situation called for seriousness, which in fairness Albedo had so far and generally always possessed, the moment his eyes landed on you it was almost completely lost. You were so attentively listening to him as he elaborated on this topic, which, thinking rationally, was the most sensible thing for you to do, as it was essential for the plan the lot of you were all constructing; yet your eyes focused on him, eyebrows furrowed in concentration and in an effort to make sense of the alchemical terms and processes that are familiar to very few in this room, had caused in him something akin to cuteness aggression.

A small smile involuntarily appeared on his face; his eyes too had found their final destination on the sight of you, it appeared, for after he looked at you they remained there while his speech continued. The lecture had become private, for you only.

He wasn't allowed to indulge in your attention for much longer, however, as your timid self must have disliked the sudden reciprocation, shifting your gaze towards the window with an act of nonchalance. Though he knew you continued to listen, the sudden disinterest from you had given him an irrational frustration. Albedo was a genius in other areas, but the fond feelings that the mere idea of you gave him were uncharted territory; or, rather, identifying those feelings was simple enough, but the uncertainty that follows has been the cause of many difficulties. In this moment, for example, he wondered what caused you to avert your gaze. Had you become uncomfortable? Or did you feel flustered? In all his time among humans, he had become quite adept at mastering social situations, but when it came to you, to deciphering another's feelings, he suddenly found himself with a noticeable lack of skills. You caught a hint of that when you finally returned your gaze towards him, a couple of moments later, when you knew he would have redirected his towards the others, and a ghost of a frown was on his face.

without anything else to hold onto, you drive your fingers through his hair, holding on for dear life as he rushes through a horde of people. the people of mondstadt looked down, both with a mixture of disbelief and sigh. young love, they’d whisper amongst themselves. whenever you feel him intentionally loosen his grip around you, it causes your fingers to tug even harder—not that he minded of course, the pain intensified his feelings of joy as he makes it out of the gates, taking you along with him for the ride.

Annoyed but deals with it

He’ll ask you to repeat your question in an tired, irritated tone. You don’t think he will and expect a scolding but instead he leans over giving you a quick peck. In his mind he’d rather just kiss you to get this over with. He’s too tired to question it. “Happy now? Now go back to sleep. It’s 2am.” In the morning he might ask you about it if he remembers but doesn’t put much importance on it.

He’ll let out a quiet chuckle before sitting up. Plants you a big kiss on the lips with an exaggerated “MWAH.” Will ask you if you want more since you’ve woken him up. Even if you say no he’ll shake his head and reply “I think you need a few more since you’re so desperate for kisses at this hour.” You’ll spend the next 30 minutes kissing him before he’ll lay back down and settle the blanket over him as if nothing happened.

Similar to the last one except he’s a lot more tired when he gives the first kiss. He doesn’t mind having to wake up for this. If you say that’s enough after he asks you if you need any more he will quickly go back to sleep. If you wake him again a few minutes later he won’t get mad. He will only start to get a little annoyed if you wake him up like 5 times, days in a row.

Will asks you to repeat what you said like 10 times. He genuinely can’t comprehend what you’re saying. He would kiss you if he knew but his mind is making it seem like you’re speaking a different language. “What?”,“Huh”, “What’s happening?” Eventually you give up because you realize you aren’t getting through to him.

Concerned

Starts to ask questions about why now. He will do it if you ask twice but will go into full worried husband mode. “Are you alright?”, “Is there a reason you need affection this late? You know you can talk to me if something is wrong?” “Would you prefer I kiss you more before you sleep so you aren’t craving it at midnight?” For some reason this ends in you reassuring him before he can go back to sleep.

He’ll tell you to wait until morning, not even bothering to open his eyes. If you do get him to open his eyes he’s unnecessarily irritated. Did you not understand that he said no? Might kiss you just to shut you up but it’s not affectionate enough to satisfy your cravings.

Flat Out Refuses

Similar to the last one except no means no with him. He’s suprisingly calm. He won’t open his eyes and will literally just tune you out. Might snuggle closer to you at best. It doesn’t matter how loud you’re complaining he’s back asleep in a few minutes. Will be sure to kiss you in the morning to make up for it, even if you’re a little angry.

Assuming you guys are married and live together (with exceptions such as Kazuha). Modern Au but if I think the answer would be different in Teyvat I specify.

Early Birds

Diluc gets up at the brink of dawn which is weird since he often goes to sleep late. Usually the maids would make you breakfast but sometimes he likes to give them the day off just so he can surprise you with something he made. On weekdays he’ll kiss your cheek and whisper that he’s going to work. It’s gentle enough not to make you stir. He will be gone before you wake up. On weekends however he may allow himself to entangle himself with you for a little while longer, still waking up early. If you ever see him oversleeping you know he completely exhausted himself the night before. When he’s in such a state you know better than to wake him up. Whenever you wake up before him whether it be in the middle of the night or morning you’ll always wake up with his arms around you. It doesn’t matter how you guys went to sleep he will always shift into this position.

Baizhu is up because the pharmacy opens early and he needs to make some prescriptions fresh. On his days off he will stay in bed a little bit to cuddle you. Still he doesn’t sleep until noon and doesn’t let you either because it’s unhealthy. He wakes you up but you cook breakfast most of the time. He’ll eat, get ready, then bid you farewell before leaving. In the scenario where Qiqi lives with you guys as an adopted daughter he will wake you, then Qiqi and lets you cook as he helps her get ready for school. He will be the one who takes her to school. In Teyvat he’s up early no matter what since on his days off he is looking for ingredients for his medicines.

Durin is up early for no particular reason. It’s in his nature. As a dragon he likes to wake up early then take a midday nap if he’s tired. He’s the most productive in the morning so he’ll stretch, get ready, read, and all but start his day way before you get up. Wakes you up for work but doesn’t mind letting you sleep in if you have nothing to do. He’ll get breakfast started. He may make the pancake batter for example but wait until you wake up so you can cook it. He’ll eat a mini breakfast before you get up then eat again when you’re awake. For someone who can be quite cuddly during the night he finds it easy to leave your arms in the morning it seems.

Lohen can be a little hyperactive so he can’t sleep until noon if he tried. He’ll wake up. Do like 20 things then sneak back into bed just before the time where he knows you’ll wake up. He does this because he prefers when you wake him up instead of the other way around. Will refuse to get out of bed unless you kiss him awake. Will squeeze you tightly so you’re unable to leave the bed unless you do. He’s surprisingly domestic so he easily whips up breakfast for you two. It helps that he started preparing before you got up but you don’t need to know that. Sometimes when he’s board he will change the clock times then wake you up to make you think you overslept. Will be the one to drive you to work each day and secretly enjoys watching your head bobble in the passenger seat when you’re tired. Mornings can be filled with mild pranks just to get your reaction. Secretly though there is a ton of things he does just to ensure your morning goes smoothly outside of his chaos like ironing your clothes or keeping your shoes close in the shoe closet.

Thoma is up early because he finds it difficult to sleep 8 hours straight. He does all the housework before you wake up and will definitely be the one making breakfast. Wakes you up gently but only after everything is ready for you. He already has your clothes ironed, your phone charged, and your lunch packed. Will help you get ready if you’re tired. He purposefully chooses a shift that starts after yours so he can help you. He will stay in bed on his days off if you’re cuddling him. He hates leaving your arms.

Tighnari likes dealing with everything he needs to bright and early so that his afternoons are free. It gives him more time to spend with you. He will wake you up but you usually help him get ready for work. He already has your eggs boiled he just asks you to peel them. He might have made the toast just asks you to add the spread. It’s an agreement though. You make breakfast, he makes you guys lunch. On weekends, especially during the winter he’ll allow you to stay cuddled up against him and his tail late into the morning. In summer he might wake you up in the middle of the night asking if you can get him water since he will be burning up.

Xiao doesn’t let himself sleep past sunrise. He’s usually gone before you wake up. You’ll see a good morning text when you get up. On the off-days where you catch him at home when you wake up he’ll be zoned out while sitting beside you in bed. You’ll ask him what’s wrong to which he’d reply with “Nothing. Go back to bed.” He doesn’t eat breakfast. If you want he’ll take you out for breakfast every once in awhile. He feels bad whenever you make him breakfast since he knows you’re tired.

Oversleepers

Varka snores like a howling wolf. You’ll wake up body locked by his grip, try your best to squirm out to no avail. You’ll try your best to wake him up but he’s a deep sleeper. You’ve learned to just hold it in if you need the bathroom because there is no getting to him. At a random moment his eyes will just fly open. You’ll be the first thing he sees so he’ll smile and lean in to kiss you. “Morning, sweetheart.” he’ll greet with a raspy voice. Definitely has morning breath that’ll make your face scrunch. You’ve learned to prepare breakfast the night before because of how often this happens. He isn’t really a breakfast guy but he gets upset when you don’t eat breakfast. Before you got together he skipped it like half the time. He gets ready quick so he always leaves on time which is annoying since his oversleeping has made you late on many occasions. Personally I head canon him with a stay at home wife but if you work close by he will try to walk you when he can. When the weather is nice he probably walks to work even if he works 45 minutes away. Every day you’ll complain about his annoying sleep and morning habits to which he’ll tell he will stop just for the cycle to repeat again. You continue to deal with it because he has a way of convincing you to deal with all his irritating behaviours.

Razor wants to wake up early. He was raised to wake up early (by wolves in Teyvat by whoever in modern AU) but you just make the bed feel way to warm. You guys will just be cuddling in the early hours of the morning. You’ll turn off your alarm but his sudden bothered expression as his face twitches makes you feel guilty to which you’ll go back into his arms. When you guys finally get up it’s still the morning but he will be slightly disappointed since he hoped to be awake right at dawn. You make breakfast but he will help. He also learned how to help you get ready so he’ll do simple tasks like bringing you your clothes or skincare. Weekends and weekdays are basically the same. The only difference is you have no reason to wake him up so you guys genuinely spend the whole morning cuddling and don’t stop until noon. Even if you need the bathroom, if he’s not out of bed by the time you’re done you know you’ll probably just go back into his arms.

Xinqiu oversleeps by 20-30 minutes which is enough to throw off his schedule. You’ll wake up by a maid knocking on the door since you live in his family’s estate. In turn you’ll wake him up. He’ll ask for “5 more minutes.” You’ll allow it and by the time he gets out of bed he’s running late. The maids make you guys breakfast. When they don’t you guys probably planned to go to an overpriced breakfast place. He begs you to help him get ready. You guys know each other’s exact routines by heart. Whenever he has extra time in the morning he will ask if he can help you get ready instead. If you both work he will open the car door for you. You guys will both be taken to work by his personal driver. If you don’t you’ll walk him to the car and kiss him goodbye before he’s off for the day.

Gaming oversleeps on purpose. He sets an alarm a bit earlier than he needs to be up just so he can turn it off and get an extra 10-20 minutes with you. He calls it planned oversleeping. He usually is the one who wakes you up. He will let you use the bathroom first. Assuming you’re not going out to eat Dim Sum he will make breakfast. You guys both get ready in front of each other. When you’re done he likes to fix your accessories and make sure you have everything you need including your lunch, keys, and phone. On weekends he’ll keep you in bed cuddling asking why you want to get up when you guys “have nothing to do.” You’ll go out for Dim Sum on at least one day out of the weekend. Mornings with him feel warm and comfy.

Bennett oversleeps half the time but not by choice. He tries his best to wake up early so he can plan for his bad luck but his luck makes him sleep in half the time. It’s split on when you guys wake each other up. Sometimes you’ll shake him awake to tell him he’s late. He’d rush everything and take some toast and milk (it’s soiled) for breakfast at most before rushing out the door. He’ll come back a second later since he forgot to kiss you goodbye then would leave in a sprint since he knows better than to trust being in a vehicle. Other times he’ll wake you up gently. He tried his best to cook breakfast, iron your clothes, and get anything you need ready. It didn’t turn out too well but it’s the thought that counts right?

Forces you to stay in bed

Tartaglia/Childe/ Ajax has the ability to wake up early he just doesn’t want to. He’s in a position at his job where no one can say anything if he’s late to which he takes full advantage of. He’ll pretend to be asleep just to stay cuddled up next to you. You know he’s faking because you catch him smiling to which he’d laugh when you call him out. Before you woke up he was watching you sleep since he thinks you look beautiful in such a natural state. Will try his best to convince you to stay in bed. “I’ll help you get ready, please just 5 more minutes.” Somehow 5 turns into 10, 10 turns into 20, and 20 turns into whenever you refuse to let him keep you. If you think he’d let you do work as hard as cooking breakfast right when you wake up you’re wrong. He’s making you a balanced breakfast housewife or not. He’ll help you get ready while talking about how gorgeous you are. He’ll even brush your teeth if you ask. He’ll drive you to work and won’t let you say otherwise. On the way he’ll stop by any store to get you whatever drink you like to have in the morning. As he drops you off it’s another struggle to actually leave. He keeps asking for “one more kiss.” He’ll keep the doors locked until you give him a good goodbye kiss followed by an “I love you, Ajax.”

Flins likes to see you pampered. He’ll wake you up with breakfast in bed. He’s so gentle when he wakes you up. He’ll spend a few minutes beforehand just admiring your face. He likes this version of you more than when you’re all dolled up. He sees it as your natural appearance. He doesn’t sleep like people do so if he’s in bed it’s just because you asked him to be. When he sleeps in his lantern form he still tries to wake up before you. He makes breakfast but won’t stop you if you want to be the one who makes breakfast. He’ll do whatever you want him to since his work doesn’t follow a strict schedule. If you ask him to take you to work he definitely will. If you don’t want to that’s okay too as long as you bid each other farewell he’s okay with anything. On weekends he’ll let you sleep in. He likes to joke about you being quite the “sleeping beauty.” He often prepares you a bath right when you wake up whenever you aren’t busy.

Wriothesley keeps you in bed just because he can. He knows you want to stay in bed with him even when you say otherwise. It doesn’t matter if he’s late so he can care less. Loves ignoring your protest while to snuggling into your neck. He either bites you or threatens to bite you to shut you up. Keeps you in bed for a little bit longer just to rub in your defeat. You make breakfast or breakfast is made for you in the prison. He will make you guys a morning cup of tea that goes with whatever you are eating. You’re usually the one who wakes him up.

Cyno is often working a night shift making it hard for him to wake up with you. Because of this, he tries his best to keep you in bed for as long as possible when he does get the chance. He can be a sauna of heat so even during the night you may try wiggling away from him. He’ll try everything to keep you in bed. Anything to convince you. He takes no blame though if he ever makes you late. Cyno will ask to shower together. Either of you can make breakfast. He doesn’t mind spoiling you if you ask him to since he isn’t home in the morning often.

Kaveh slept late since he was too busy working on another draft of a project. Now he’s tired and wants to stay in bed. What does that mean for you? That means you have to stay in bed too. He’ll hold your hand if you try to get up and whine about you leaving. He won’t make you guys oversleep but will still try to keep you in bed for just a little longer. He’ll offer to make breakfast if you stay (He makes it anyways so it is not a very good bribe but he’s too tired to think of anything better). He irons your clothes the night before since he wants you to look perfect. His alarm wakes you up since he probably has one of those annoying ones since he’s scared that if he’s ever late he will lose access to the project. On weekends he sleeps until noon then complains about his neck aching.

Venti gives you two types of mornings: sweet, romantic mornings and annoyingly clingy mornings. The type of morning will depend on who wakes up first. If he wakes up first he’s writing poetry or cutting fruit by the time you get up. If you wake up first you have to get out of bed before he can notice. If you don’t he’ll start the morning off with a whine about you leaving bed too early. Try doing anything when he still wants to sleep with you, it’s impossible. You sit on the couch to check the weather? His heads on your lap trying to keep you there. You go to the bathroom? He’s against the door waiting for you to come out so he can drag you back. You try doing anything else? He’s putting his full body weight on you so that you’re struggling to stand and may be forced to rest on the floor together. When you guys do actually get ready he will ask if you guys can braid each other’s hair. As for breakfast he prefers light breakfast like fruit so if you want anything more you’ll have to make it yourself. If you’re okay with just fruit he will prepare it as long as he’s fully awake. He will pout if you don’t give him a goodbye kiss. You will be texted reels while you work about how you don’t love him anymore.

Sweet Mornings

Kazuha is often travelling so he isn’t home much (assuming you aren’t with him.) When he’s back home he’s very attentive as to make up for his absence. He’ll wake up and smile like a mad man when he gets a glimpse of your face. He’ll spend half an hour just staring at you. He’s still used to the timings abroad. He’ll get up, make breakfast, than bring you breakfast in bed. If you ever give him the honour of being woken up by you instead he’ll look at you as if you’re the sun. He’ll be completely memorized until you call him out of it. Like the flirt he is he will be sure to tell you why he’s so caught off guard. In the event you do travel with him he still wakes you up. He secretly has a ton of pictures of you sleeping. He isn’t hiding that he has it he just hasn’t told you yet. Either way he helps you get ready every way he can. He’s memorized your skincare routine just so he can be the one who puts it on your face.

Gorou has started to resist the night shift just so he can spend time with you in the mornings. He loves it. Your arms around each other with one deep into the fur of his tail. You wake him up by scratching his ears. You’ll put together something as simple as toast as he sits at the table. Afterwards he’ll wash the dishes while thinking about a mix of things. It’s always the perfect time to flirt with him since it catches him on guard. Finally when it’s time for one of you to leave he’ll wait patiently for a goodbye kiss. You can’t ever forget or he’ll think about it all day. He’ll be visually distracted during training.

Kaeya will be woken up by you each morning. He’ll take off his eye mask before greeting you. His pyjamas are excessive as he is. You guys with get ready while he takes over the bathroom mirror for as long as possible. In the mornings you guys often hit up a breakfast place since you’re both too lazy to make anything and it allows you guys to go on an extra morning date.

Kinich adjusted his routine to suit you. He wakes up just a bit earlier so he can be out of the way when you wake up. If you allow him to he will even pick out your clothes so you could sleep in as much as possible. He’ll wake you up while brushing strands out your face. He’ll kiss his teeth if you ask for “5 more minutes” but he’s a sucker for you so he’ll allow it. He might complain about how messy you’re eating but in a way that feels affectionate. He’ll wash the dishes and everything while allowing you to do your thing. When it’s time to leave he’ll call for you, “Okay, I’m heading out.” His tender acts of service makes it impossible to be late unless you consciously choose to be.

Neuvillette always wakes up at the same time each day. His routine is normal, regular, consistent. He wakes up, then wakes you up. He takes a shower in a perfect temperature of water and changes since he prefers to be ready before his meals. He will then come back to wake you up again if you’re still not awake. He eats what the melusines/ maids (depending on the AU) prepared for you two. He will then allow the melusines or your daughter to put a bow in his hair. Spends a little while reviewing documents before bidding you goodbye for the day. He likes it this way, yet he finds his irregular days are his favourite days. The days where he has no work to do so he gets to stay with you all morning, the days where you guys wake up early just to try exclusive cake, the days where you wake up feeling extra clingy. Those type of mornings will always be his favourite type of mornings no matter how much he likes his routine.

Scaramouche/ Wanderer is great at domestic life. He will wake you up gently but with that false annoyance tone of his. “Y/N it’s time to wake up…Who are you? Sleeping beauty? You have to get up. You have work today.” He makes breakfast for sure. Imagine him with an apron that says something like “kiss the cook” that you often tease him about. His ears would turn red as he replies, “I told you Nahida gave it to me!” He makes sure you eat all your breakfast since he wants to make sure you have enough energy for the day. Gets himself ready first then helps you get ready since “you’re taking too long.” He won’t stop you if you decide to kiss him goodbye but wasn’t the one who started doing that. He will only take it personally if he you kissed him every day then one day you purposely didn’t. He doesn’t say it out loud but he does a lot of things to try and make you happy.

Energetic Mornings

Chongyun struggles to control his yang energy. He will be energetic and will wake you up. You quickly get him a popsicle which chills his bloodstream. He’ll be embarrassed by that version of him no matter how often you see it. He’ll get up and take a cold shower while you cook. Mornings with him start off loud and end quietly.

Heizou is way too flirty when he gets up. He’s holding onto your waist if you try to get out bed before him. When you get up either of you guys cook but he’s asking if you want to be fed. Afterwards he’s shamelessly asking if you need help getting ready. He usually wakes you up but honestly who wakes who can go either way.

Itto makes even mornings feel unpredictable. One day he’s waking you up at 4am the next he’s begging you to stay in bed with him. On random days you’ll wake up to him putting random creams on your face since he saw a video saying this stuff makes your skin glow. You cook and he’ll ask what’s for breakfast. He eats his food then eats yours. If you go to work before him you’ll be annoyed by how many times he’ll be the reason you’re late. When he has free time he offers to take you to work. He doesn’t have any transportation money so instead he’ll carry you and your things there. You never know what to expect when you become Arrataki Itto’s wife.

Quiet Mornings

Alhaitham makes mornings feel peaceful. He’s usually out of bed brewing you guys both a cup of tea or coffee by the time you wake up. If not he’ll wake you up after he’s done. You guys compliment each other’s morning routine. He’ll use the bathroom while you change, wash dishes while you shower, make the bed while you do your skincare. Conversations are kept to the minimum but not in a way where you’d mind. He wasn’t the one who started it but he continues to keep the goodbye kiss streak going.

Freminet naturally has a low social battery so you can only imagine how he is in the mornings. He loves you, truly, but he really doesn’t want to talk to anyone this early. He’ll wake you hoping you wake up the first time since he hates having to speak this much when he just got up himself. When you wake him up he will just respond with a one word answer. He made breakfast before you woke up. You guys will eat together in near silence before he’ll dismiss himself to get ready. By the time he’s done he will be in much more of a mood where he can accept conversation.

Lyney is surprisingly quiet in the mornings but that’s more because he’s just really tired. When you wake him up he’ll ask if you guys can stay in bed but won’t argue if you say no. Instead he’d be attached to your hip, following you everywhere you go with his eyes half closed. He’ll be hugging you from behind, head pressed against your shoulder while you cook or brush your teeth. He’s not fully awake until after washing his face and getting a bite in. He will offer to take a day off so you guys could stay home and just go on a home date all day knowing well that he wouldn’t leave Lynette to manage the stage alone. When it’s finally time for one of you guys to go he makes the temporary goodbyes last way too long. He’s hugging, kissing, and overall just being all over you. You’ll always start your mornings on a happy note because of him.

Albedo is often up early but is not opposed to staying in bed for longer if you wish. He makes breakfast but probably out of mix that he prepared days before. He finds that having something new each day is unnecessarily time consuming. There isn’t a particular reason for why mornings with him are quiet. They just are. He’ll help you button up or zip up your outfit. He often leaves the house way earlier than he needs to because he likes to get ahead of his research schedule. Will drop you off to work if you ask or do anything else that you might want to do before he has to leave.

Varka, seeing the boys of Crepus destroying themselves in the name of Mondstadt, and feeling so much guilt. because he had failed them, too. just as much as he had failed his dear friend, he had failed his sons as well.

but he doesn't want to dwell on it, determined to change what he can while he's back home.

with Diluc, it's quite simple. it doesn't take much for Varka to understand who hides under the guise of Darknight Hero, so he comes with quite a simple, foolproof plan. he takes Diluc with him to spar. well, they're competing, and Diluc is still the kid who likes challenges and refuses to back up. they wipe up almost half of the hilichurls camps, Varka is just a tad ahead in body count than Diluc.

they finish late and Varka drags absolutely boneless and limp Diluc back to the Winery and hands him to Adelinde. Adelinde sends him back to the city with her apple pie and countless amount of grateful words as Diluc finally sleeps for 10 hours straight in like, a month.

Varka make sure to repeat it at least twice a week.

with Kaeya, though... it's much harder. he's taken much more from Crepus than he himself wants to admit. and not all good qualities. he's secretive and elusive, charming to a fault, avoidant. Varka feels like both ripping out his hair and aging thousand years at a time with how strong his frustration is.

he invites him to a drink. Varka is almost wasted while Kaeya still jokes and nowhere near to passing out and having at least a nap. (Diluc dilutes Kaeya's drinks out of spite).

he takes him to the missions. Kaeya finishes the missions with such ease that him and Lohen became best friends. he spends next to none energy, so of course, at nights Varka watches the kid walk in the Treasure Hoarders camps.

he sends him to a week long vacation in Nod-Krai. the kid finds the informants, saves the day, brings a ton of souvenirs, and, by the way Nefer talks, impressed her just enough to almost keep to herself; Varka is very against it, because it's his kid and he refuses—

he does almost everything he can and can't find a way to get the kid to rest. Jean once catches him, after observing the whole commotion and his very exasperated grunts and complains, and sits him down.

she says, simple, to let Kaeya wear himself out.

Varka feels as if he's delirious and seeing hallucinations. Jean repeats her words, and Varka recalls, from the days back, that Crepus was a workaholic worse than anyone he ever knew. he had to work himself to the bone as he wasn't particularly impressive in any fields. he was a good man, but a man of very few talents. painting was the one. another was being a good father.

then it clicks.

he gathers Klee, Bennet, Fischl, Durin, Diona, and basically all the kids of Mondstadt and gives them one mission — to keep Kaeya busy.

he watches from afar as Kaeya doesn't get a chance to get a sip of wine, runs around with the kids, has to sit countless picnics and eat, gets to teach them his techniques and tricks, and how a happy heap then sleeps, with no worry in the world.

(after a while Varka throws Diluc in the heap of kids, so now these two babysit the whole future generation of Mondstadt and are finally, finally, sleeping and eating well.)

Not saying that she isn't concerned about him first and foremost, but you think some traitorous part of her thought 'Master Crepus is dead, Diluc left Mondstadt, and now you want to leave me too? You can't leave me here alone, you're not allowed to leave me here alone'

She knows it's a selfish way of thinking. That Kaeya didn't choose to feel the way he does, but she's still angry regardless.

Sethos reacted to your pregnancy with complete shock for about five seconds. Then immediate excitement.

“You’re serious? We’re actually having a baby?”

The grin on his face afterward was impossible to forget. Sethos became incredibly energetic about the entire thing, constantly talking to your stomach, making jokes about teaching the baby archery way too early, and proudly telling everyone he trusted. But there were softer moments too.

Late at night, when everything was quiet, he’d hold you carefully and rest his head against your stomach with this awed expression. Like he still couldn’t believe someone he loved was carrying a piece of him. And every time the baby kicked? He looked personally victorious.

“That’s definitely my child.”

Kaveh

Kaveh cried. Immediately. No hesitation. You barely finished telling him before he already had tears in his eyes.

“This is a happy cry,” he insisted while actively sobbing.

Your pregnancy turned Kaveh into the most emotionally devoted partner imaginable. He became obsessed with designing the perfect nursery, sketching ideas constantly and asking your opinion on everything.

Unfortunately, this also meant he stressed himself out trying to make everything “perfect.”

You eventually had to drag him away from measuring furniture at three in the morning. But beneath all the chaos, Kaveh loved you so deeply it was overwhelming. Sometimes he’d kiss your stomach gently and whisper apologies to the baby in advance for “having him as a father.”

You always corrected him immediately. Because your child was going to be lucky to have someone who loved so openly.

Alhaitham reacted with suspicious calmness. Too calm. You told him you were pregnant and he simply blinked once before closing his book.

Wanderer was horrified. Not because he didn’t want the baby. Because he genuinely believed he would ruin them somehow.

“You deserve someone better than me,” he muttered bitterly one night.

You shut that down immediately. Your pregnancy forced him to confront something terrifying. The possibility of being loved permanently. And despite all his fear, Wanderer became fiercely attached to both you and the baby. He acted annoyed whenever you caught him talking softly to your stomach.

“I wasn’t talking to them.”

“You literally asked if they preferred sweet food.”

But the truth was obvious. He adored your child already. Especially because every little kick reminded him this family was real. That he finally belonged somewhere.

Cyno handled your pregnancy with surprising gentleness. Very serious gentleness. He researched everything carefully because he wanted to support you properly.

Unfortunately, he also thought this was the perfect time for dad jokes.

“The baby kicked.”

“Yes, Cyno.”

“I suppose they found my joke moving.”

You stared at him in disbelief. Cyno looked completely proud of himself. But despite the jokes, he was incredibly attentive.

Always checking if you needed rest, food, water, or comfort. And one evening, while his hand rested over your stomach feeling the baby move, his expression softened completely.

“…I will protect both of you,” he said quietly.

Simple. Certain. Like a vow.

Tighnari

Tighnari became the definition of caring efficiency during your pregnancy. You had a symptom? He already had a solution.

He monitored your health carefully without becoming overbearing, always making sure you were eating properly and resting enough.

Though admittedly, He got very annoyed whenever you ignored his advice.

“You need to stop overexerting yourself.”

“I walked down stairs.”

“Exactly.”

Still, Tighnari absolutely melted whenever the baby reacted to his voice. His ears would twitch every single time. And during quieter moments, he’d gently lay beside you with one hand over your stomach, listening carefully to every movement with this impossibly soft expression. Because despite how composed he usually seemed. He was completely in love with the future the two of you were building together.
