3D Printing
This, this is what I want to do. But I don’t wanna just make silly figurine, I wanna save the world, rennovate it, revitalise, and change the way we work as a species.
I don’t know how, when or anything, but what I do know is we need to change. We have gone so far in technology and wht do we use it for? Making a curved 3D TV? The new IPhone 8? Controling our home from our phone?
It’s rediculous, instead of making the priviledged more priviledged we need to set aside ourselves and support hummanity. 3rd world countries? War? Illness? Poverty? World hunger? Homelessness? Natural disasters?
WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY TO SOLVE THIS
Just no one can be bothered putting their minds, themselves and all the time, money and effort that goes with it, into making this world a better place

toio
Programmable robotics toy from SONY uses small minimalist blocks with personality, allowing to be creative with papercraft:
Another video here better presents how you can use a controller and even create your own sumo robots:
From Spoon & Tamago:
Build, play, inspire. That’s the idea behind Sony’s new toy for kids, designed to inspire a future generation of robotics engineers. Toio is the result of 5 years of research into developing a toy that’s simple enough for kids to use, but also sophisticated enough to create a figurative sandbox where kids can explore the inner-workings of robotics engineering.
Toio, at first glance, is stunningly simple: the core of the toy is just 2 white cubes with wheels. But don’t be fooled by their appearance. The tiny cubes pack a whole lot of tech. They respond to motion, are able to detect the exact location of the other, and can be programmed but also remote controlled.
You can find out more at the official Toio website here

Indigo-dyed Exchange chairs for Stellar Works by Créme Design
To celebrate the launch of his extended award winning Exchange chair series at Stellar Works, Jun Aizaki of Créme Design created this limited series of Indigo-dyed Exchange chairs. The chairs are dyed with naturally produced Indigo in Guizhou with traditional Chinese techniques. To contrast the metal from the blue wood, the regular black steel got exchanged with copper. The Exchange series is a modern interpretation of the traditional Windsor chair design.
One thing 3D printing can do that most manufacturing methods fail at is scale. With the press of a button a model can adjust to whatever size you like - no retooling required. (at 3D Brooklyn - Ideas Into Reality)
