It's been awhile since the defeat of Magnifico and Amaya. The story about their wishing system remains a tale to be told to the new generation and how the two royals manipulated the citizens of the kingdom to give up their souls in disguise of their wishes to gain power. The tale of the star and the girl who fell in love and helped save Rosas from its oppressors was a popular story in the kingdom, murals of the tyrannical rulers were taken down, now replaced with Asha sitting on the branch of the wishing tree her grandfather told her about.
Rosasâs faith has turned to the stars for guidance, just like it was in the past, as Hamlet and Rosasâs friendship grew stronger. Under the guidance and protection of Asha Valente, the guardian of wishes is what most people title her as, with her family and friends to support her through leadership and Earendel to help too whenever he can if heâs not too busy granting people's wishes from above. Rosas lived with the past still lingering with them, despite all that they turned to a future of hope and dreaming.Â

Asha presses the ink into the paper one more time leaving a dot after the last sentence, she places the quill back in the ink container, shaking her hand in hopes the soreness in her wrist would leave. The ink finally settled in the page as she placed a drawing of Rosas on top of the text she wrote. Asha leaned back in her chair, staring at the spacious circular room with unread books along the shelves. A trail of sparkles fills her with a joy that her new office room couldnât do, a boy sheâd been expecting appeared behind her, as he greeted her with a smile on his face. Asha whirled around in her seat, meeting his eyes. Earendel caught a glimpse of the large book propped up on her desk,Â
âWhat are you working on?â He leaned in to read the text on the pages before Asha closed the book, revealing the white cover with gold fancy text that read: Once Upon A Star, below it was three roses in the form of the kingdom's logo with the largest in the middle.Â
âYou know, just thought the kingdom needed to hear our full story,â she replied, giving him a peck on the lips. An Idea sprang in Earendelâs mind.
âWanna go stargazing?â He inquired, holding out his hand for her to take. The two made their way to the black opaque mirror as Asha flicked her wrist, the mirror split into two revealing an empty room that reached the peak of the tower. âWhats this room now?â
âIt's a stargazing room, after we released the wishes I figured to give some purpose to this area,â Asha laid down on the floor below, the coldness reminding her of the battle with Magnifico but she put the memory aside to focus on the ceiling above. Earendel laid beside her trying to wipe the horrible memories aside, he lifted his hand to the peak above as the roof began to open wide allowing the stars to enter their view.Â
âTell me more about the stars,â Asha said, Earendel gave a chuckle before replying.
âOkay,âÂ

Final lil thoughts
Its done its finally over!, yay thank you to all who stayed till the very end and have kept up with this fic im grateful to you all!, what comes next?, possibly a fics from other fandoms that I have ideas for, one that im trying to come up with idea's for like right now.
@jojo-ker06 @your-ne1ghbor your quite aware :D
Anyway hope to see you in my other fanfics that may intrest you or not, but stay tunned for maybe some wish art in the future that I might make who knows if im feeling motivated an At All Costs animatic? or a Wish reprise Animatic?
Scylla did nothing wrong. It wasn't her fault Poseidon liked her. It wasn't her fault Glaucus liked her. In the myth where Circe cursed her, people are saying she deserved it because she taunted Circe and flaunts Glaucus' affections towards her to Circe. But that's only in the Circe book. In the myth, she didn't have feelings for Glaucus.
cuz im watching hector go down to Achilles to fight and then when the music stops when Hector see's Achilles it spans to this shot:
IM SORRY FIRST TIME I WATCHED IT, WITH THE MUSIC STOPPING IN THIS SCENE IS SO FUNNY (lowk in the Iliad didn't Achilles just charge at him it wasn't a whole like "HECTOR!!!" moment) Also Achilles stance is so memeable its like:
"mom I peed on the bed"
ngl I feel like it would make it more better imo if Hector was like gonna loose and then he just starts running around the troy walls like in the iliad and if Achilles did the kill in the throat cuz in here he did it in the upper chest I think. But yeah anyway all the actors were good here
TomĂĄs stared up at the castle, pumping a fist in the air, joyful of his daughter's first kiss. He turned to kiss wife who was shaking her head at the two above.
âWeâre gonna have a long talk about this when we get homeâŠâ
TomĂĄs laughed as Hamlet and Rosas cheered even louder. Earendel and Ashaâs lips broke apart from each other as they turned to face the audience below celebrating.
The two descended the tower, Earendelâs feet touched the ground first before Ashaâs, their fingers entwined. The platform being held by Magnificoâs magic began to shake as the roof began to close in as the platform slowly descended inside. Crowds began to gather around them in celebration,Â
âHold on, what happened to the king and queen?â one of the citizens asked. Earendel summoned two diamond shaped crystals in his hand and threw them on the ground. Magnifico and Amaya groaned inside their imprisonment, trying to process what happened to them. The royals blinked a couple of times to properly see the people, Asha and Earendel stare down at them.Â
âWhat's with those faces!I'm your king, you know!âÂ
âDarling, I donât think they will listen to usâŠâ Amaya bit her lip in shame as the captain of the guards came into their view. âOh, please get us out of here,â the captain shook his head letting out a small laugh before carrying the two away, lifting the crystal by the tip and walking away from the crowd. Asha spots a familiar white haired man within the crowd giving her a smile, she returns the smile mouthing a thank you to her Saba as he disappears among the crowd of people huddling in.
Asha sees her parents in front of the crowd as she runs towards them, throwing her arms around their necks. Her friends soon joined the hug leaving Earendel at the side hesitant whether he should join, before he could make a decision Sakina pulled the boy in to join in the embrace. After a while her parents and friends joined the crowd behind them. Elanor leans on Esteban's shoulder and Bazeema joins her father, Louisâs crew begin to tear up, finally getting to mourn their friend. Earendelâs eyes drift among the bunch of people, his fingers slip away from Ashaâs as he walks away from her, a hint of sadness in his face.
âHey, what's wrong?â Asha asks
âWell, you finally got your wishâ he points to the wand in Ashaâs pocket thatâs now a lavender color. âYou're officially a sorceress now, so I need to head back to the starsâŠâ He continues to walk away but before he could go any further Asha grabs his wrist. Earendel turned to Asha.Â
âI canât! I donât want you to leave!â Asha was now pleading, wanting him to stay with her. Everyoneâs eyes fixated on them now. Then words jumped out of her mouth before she had a chance to think it through. âWhat if I become a star with you!âÂ
âWhat?â Earendel stared at her in disbelief. Trying to see if she was joking or not. âIf you become a star with me, you need to help people with their wishes.âÂ
âAsha, we wonât allow this!â It was TomĂĄs, shoving his way through the crowd to meet his daughter. âWe wonât see you as much anymore, youâll have to live with him in the skyâÂ
âI know!,â she protested. âWhat else is Rosas gonna do?, whoâs gonna help them achieve their dreams now that Magnifico and Amaya are gone?,â Asha turned to Earendel who couldnât process what she just said.Â
âAsha, this is a big task, youâll need to lead Rosas and help people with their wishes,â Sakina added.
âIm willing to take it!â She said with determination in her eyes, âIf it means helping Rosas,â Earendel was hesitant wondering if this would be a good decision. Dahlia stepped in, placing a hand on her friend's shoulder.Â
âIf you think this is what you want, then I'm fine with it,â Dahlia said, placing a hand on her friend's shoulder. Bazeema slowly stepped forward placing her hand on Ashaâs other shoulder. Simon followed by nodding. Asha turned to her parents wondering if they will be on her side now. TomĂĄs bit his lip, still pondering to himself.
âWill she at least be able to see us?, visit us?âÂ
Earendel avoided their gaze thinking to himself, maybe a compromise would do?. âAsha doesnât need to always be up in the sky all the time,â A relief washed over TomĂĄs. Asha looked at Earendel with confusion. âShe can become a celestial being, but she will stay here to help Rosas with their wishes, and she can stay in the night sky whenever she wants,âÂ
âYou can do that?â Sakina questioned the starboy.
âOf course!, im the prince of stars after allâ He placed his hand over his chest. âHow does that sound, Asha?âÂ
Asha scanned her parents' faces who now came to terms with her decision with Earendelâs compromise, then her friends and citizens who gave her nods.Â
âYes, Iâll accept itâÂ
Earendelâs cheeks rose as he waved the ground below him with his arm making a semi circle gesture. A large star appeared on the ground, same as the one Earendel made during their song, Asha stepped into the center with Earendel giving an encouraging look to her.
The girl lifted a few centimeters off the ground, the stars above twinkled brighter than before. A trail of sparkles ran down Asha as her dull lavender dress transformed into a dark purple tulle pleated gown with stars decorated all over. Her sleeves transformed into lavender elbow-length gloves. Displayed on her head was a gold tiara with a star shape in the middle holding a moonstone gem that reflected a shine like the moon with two small amethyst gems decorated on the side. Asha slowly descended, Earendel grabbing her hands, feeling the soft satin against his skin before Ashaâs feet touched the ground. Asha took a moment to examine her new outfit, she focused her eyes on Earendel, then clasping herself around him. He pulled her away, keeping his hands holding hers. The two shared a laugh together, Earendel leaned back a bit as he spun her around letting his cape fly in the wind.Â
âââ ââ ââ â âââÂ
A new morning was beginning to start,
the night was preparing its farewells to Rosas below. Now Asha and Earendel can relax, knowing the people of Rosas and Hamlet are safe and no longer under the evil monarch's reign. Rosas and Hamlet began to share a dance with one another, laughing alongside each other. Asha was pulled into one of their dances, moving her feet along despite the large gown. She caught a glimpse of Earendel, messing up a bit of the steps of the dance moves as the citizens tried to teach him. She couldnât help but let out a chuckle which grabbed his attention, he raised his eyebrow returning a smirk at her. Asha cocked her head to the arch way in the distance as the two of them slipped away leaving Rosas and heading into Beech forest where the two could have their moment alone.Â
âWhere do you plan on going?â Earendel inquired wondering if Asha had a place in mind just for the two of them.
âTake a guessâŠâ She raised her eyebrow at him, giving him a smirk as she awaited his answer. A place came into his head but before he could give out his answer Asha was already dashing through the trees, holding her dress up for her legs to have some space to run. Earendel chased after her, surprised how she could run quite fast with the large gown weighing her down. Once he managed to catch up with her, a huge tree in the distance caught his eyes.
Earendel zoomed ahead of Asha, climbing to the trunk as he lends Asha a hand to pull her up to the trunk. The two safely made it to the sturdy branch protruding out from the cliff, and sat themselves down. Asha leaned her head on Earendelâs shoulder as he leaned his head on hers; the two watched the sun slowly break through the horizon.Â
âAsha, if you had another wish what would it be?â
âWhy would I need another one?, I already have it right here,âÂ

lil thoughts
yay my rewrite has come to a close, (not yet cuz theres the epilogue) its funny how Asha went from distrusting the guy to loving him to point wanting to be w him. Its like in Heracles (also its Heracles not "Hercules" thats the roman name) when he wanted to become mortal to stay w Megara except its the opposite here.
I gotta say thank you all who stayed and supported this journey from my wish rewrite, I appreciate ya'll and I think that Asha and Starboy got the ending they deserved here anyways Epilogue coming soon to wrap everything up.

Till one or two of us is killed. Magnifico stood before her, gripping his staff tightly in his palm. Asha pointed her wand at him, hand slightly shaking as the tip began to glow. Magnifico stepped back a few feet giving distance between Asha and Earendel.
âIâll give you a head start, use what youâve learned in our sessions,â He gave her a sly smile, he raised his staff to the heavens above as a ray shot out from the crystal in his staff; clouds began to swirl around obscuring the stars and moon above preventing any light from passing through.
Asha managed to keep her hand steady. Her wand glowed bright and so did Magnificoâs grin. Then a spell shot from her wand towards the king as he deflected it with ease.Â
âIs that all you could do?â He mocked, pointing his staff at her as a ray shot out. Asha held up her free hand, creating a barrier covering her and Earendel; the magic stopped a few inches away from her palm and a white opaque barrier appeared in front of her. Magnifico began to increase the spell, pushing Asha back a few inches from the force of keeping the shield up to stop the magic from hitting them. Asha felt herself being pushed towards the edge as her hand began to shake, then the force began to subside, the girl turned to Earendel who also created a barrier behind hers to even the force. The two of them began to move forward, countering Magnificoâs spell.
âThatâs not gonna last forever!â He shouted
Earendel gave a small mischievous grin and waved his hand in an infinite sign, the shields combined and shot at the king's direction, despite his best to dodge, a pain hit his shoulder, accompanied by soreness. Earendel followed with another spell for Magnifico but Amaya stepped in, creating a shield in front of her husband as the spell bounced off course. Amaya pointed her staff at Asha but she was quicker, shooting a spell that sent the queen flying a few inches back and rolling on the platform close to the edge. Earendel was now standing in front of Magnifico who wore a disgusted expression on his face. Tendrils shot out from Magnificoâs staff attempting to grab the boy as he quickly dodged to the side before the vines could reach him. A few more flew out from his staff as the starboy aimed his hand at the king and a bright light suddenly blinded Magnifico, causing the vines to retreat back to his staff and recoil trying to cover his face from the blinding ray. A heavy feeling in his head overtook Earendel as clutched the side of his forehead trying to shake the repeated banging in his head. The light subsided allowing Magnificoâs vines to successfully coil around him, leaving him immobilized.
âSeems you're using too much of your magic?" Magnifico laughed then his face turned to anger. He threw the staff over his head as he slammed Earendel down the other side from him. The starboy tried to reserve his breathing, careful not to waste his limited energy as the vines coiled around him began to squeeze tighter. He felt as if his muscles were slowly being crushed one by one, he groaned the tighter the vines got, it was almost as if Magnifico was planning to crush him to death here in front of Asha. Suddenly a bright light hit the King's cheek, causing him to release the crushing spell letting the celestial being have space to breathe again. He was too busy dealing with Earendel; he didn't see the incoming spell heading towards him. Magnifico rubbed the part where he was hit and a burning feeling from the area soon followed. He stared at the crystal that reflected his once handsome face now revealed a large burn in the side of his cheek. Asha stood confidently in front of him, and the wand pointed in his direction. A satisfaction in her eyes grew but it suddenly fell when an electrocuting wave shot through her body and before she knew it she crumpled to the ground, every part of her body was tingling as she tried to stand up, only for the weight of her body to collapse again making her feel the cold slate platform. Asha could see Magnifico walking towards her and a few inches further from him was Earendel also lying on the floor trying to find his breath. Amaya stood up from where Asha left her, the queen tossed her long braid behind her shoulder, slowly making her way to the now weakened Asha.Â
âYou really need to know when to give up,â Magnifico said, two hands gripping his staff now. âAny final words, Asha?â
Asha knew what was about to come, she locked eyes with her former mentor. âThe people donât deserve you as a kingâŠâ She closed her eyes readying for the final blow. She thought about whether her friends had successfully helped Hamlet. What will happen to Rosas now that they know about King Magnificoâs true nature? Will he put a memory wipe spell on them just like he similarly did to cover up their tiredness, what will they do to Earendel after sheâs gone? Asha didnât have time to go over all her questions and thoughts as she felt the green staff swing down on her. No pain, Nothing, she couldnât feel the sharp diamond drive into her skin. Was she dead already and he must've ended her quickly so that her body didnât have enough time to register the pain? Asha slowly fluttered her eyes open, expecting the after life ahead of her but it was far from anything she imagined. The starboy stood before her eyes, back turned with Magnificoâs staff impaled in his abdomen which was meant for her, a yellow swirl of magic absorbed in his staff as he held out his arm in front of Asha. Magnificoâs eyes widened, surprised how he was able to run towards Asha in time to take the kill for her.Â
âTake it, all of it,â Earendel heaved. The venomous magic from where Magnifico stabbed him began to spread like a web in his side as the pain began to increase. But he still stood protectively in front of Asha. Magnifico took a glance at the tiny twinkling lights in the sky that could still be seen as one by one they began to disappear. A grin formed in the kingâs face, he didnât care whether his cheek was in pain, all that mattered was getting the rest of the princeâs powers in his hands. Magnifico pulled the staff away from the starboyâs body as he crumpled to the ground beside Asha; his glow was now gone only leaving a slowly fading Earendel. Magnifico stared at the blood slowly absorbing in his staff, his laughter began to grow.
âYouâve lost Asha, the wishes are mine!â He sauntered over to Amaya to celebrate their victory. Ashaâs eyes fixated on the dying Earendel; with the remaining strength she had she pushed herself to a kneeling position, cradling the star's face. Earendelâs breathing was shallow, trying to fight the dark magic that was beginning to spread from the stab wound and glow was fading away. His eyes slowly fluttered open to meet hers that were beginning to well up with tears.Â
âRemember when you asked me what my wish was?â Earendel winced from the sharp pain in his side, holding the wound from where Magnifico stabbed him. Asha gave a small nod as he continued âYou, you were my greatest wishâÂ
(REFERENCE!)
âAnd you were mine,â she whispered back. Asha held him closer to her chest, to say her final words to him. âI love you.â Earendel could hear her chest quickening over his slowly fading heart beat. He prepared for his final breath, as the world around him slowly began to fade into darkness as his eyes shut closed. Asha buried her face in the starboyâs chest, staining the fabric.
(Patrochilles moment that felt similar to this scene :>)
She lifted her head to see the crowd entangled in Magnificoâs magic, head hung low as the vines pulled their wrists down. Her grandfather's words played in her ears. âIf you ever need help, turn to the stars aboveâ But there were no stars anymore in the sky. She gazed at the dark gloomy sky hoping to find some hint of light among the shrouding clouds, her attention drifted off to a small lone flickering star in the distance about to fade out
So I look out at the stars just like me
And I'm begging you to see this as a sign
'Cause I know that if you choose to stand beside me  Â
She stared at the night sky above hoping they would listen to her cries. Then a purple light appeared in her chest.Â
We'll be greater than all his magic combined
So I make this wish
Asha scanned the crowd for the source of the voice, hope washed over her when her eyes fixated on the baker below. More people began to join, Hamlet and Rosas combining their voices.Â
So I make this wish
So I make this wish
To have something more for us than thisÂ
Soon everyone's chest began to light up, filling the kingdom with light.
The stars slowly blinked back into the sky as more followed, illuminating the sky with their light. Asha looked at Earendelâs motionless body in her arms as a yellow light began to form in his chest, gradually growing and fighting back the dark magic that was spreading. Magnifico sharply turned around at the voices growing below, then the twinkling lights that were slowly beginning to appear caught his attention. He shook his head in disbelief. He grabbed a wish, crushing the orb between his fingers as cracks began to form. The wish began to heal itself before Magnifico could finish destroying it. He tried again, with stronger magic this time but to no avail as the wish just kept on regenerating no matter how many times he did it. The stars must be protecting them!. He thought to himself. A hope lit up in Ashaâs eyes as she gazed at the citizens below, managing to find her parents in the crowd.Â
We've had generations of expectations wondering why and wondering whenÂ
Rosas and Hamlet began to sing louder, sending their message to the evil monarchs from above.Â
We're past dipping our toes in, we know it's do or die, it's sink or swim
We were all confusing your promises for protection, but we know what we'vĐ” gotta do
Hope unchanging with our wish held high, the way you'vĐ” always taught us to
Magnifico shot a spell at the crowd below hoping it would hit someone or at least stop their singing.
âEnough!âÂ
A giant shield appeared blocking the spell from reaching the people below as the barrier broke from the hit, dust began to cloud over the crowd but that didnât stop them. Once the dust finally began to clear they continued.
So I look out at the stars just like me
And throw caution to every warning sign
Earendelâs wound was now fully closed, as he fluttered his eyes open giving Ashaâs hand a squeeze to join the citizens below. Asha nodded, picking up her wand she dropped near by and walked over to the edge to meet with the crowd below.Â
What we do in this moment is defining
And we can take it on if we align
She sang louder from above, turning to face the monarchs who displayed a shocked expression on their faces with Earendel appearing above her, wand in hand.Â
So I make this wish
To have something more for us than this
So I make this wish
To have something more for us than this
Asha pointed her wand at the royals, a magic thread of sparkles spiraled around the yellow-white wand turning the stick a lavender color with a white gradient at the bottom. A light purple spell shot out from the tip. Earendel soared higher, aiming his wand at the monarchs as a yellow beam came out from the glowing stick. Magnifico and Amaya combined their staffs together by the crystals, a large dark blue ray shot out to counter their magic. The spells clashed, overwhelming one another back and forth, despite the monarch's efforts Earendel and Ashaâs magic began to overtake theirs as their spell was being pushed back towards them. Suddenly their grip loosened on the pole of their staff as it flew out from their hands, clattering behind them. Earendel landed beside Asha as the two began to make their way to the monarchâs who collapsed to their knees.Â
âMi rey!, what's happening, my handâŠâ Amaya shouted. Gripping her trembling wrist with her other hand. Magnifico shared the same expression, holding his shaking wrist.
âI-I donât knowâŠit's the prince of stars!â He scowled, turning his head sharply to the glowing prince who was already walking towards them. Suddenly purple-claw-like hands grabbed the queen by the wrists as she tried to wriggle free.Â
âGet off,â she struggled against the strong grip as more hands began to grab the rest of Amaya, ankle, neck, torso. The hands began to pull her towards her staff. Amaya tried to break free from their grasp to no avail. Magnifico sprang trying to reach for his wife as their fingers only brushed before Amaya was pulled in.Â
âMi rey!âÂ
Amayaâs hand was the last to get pulled in the staff as a flash of purple light blinded Magnifico. The staff clattered to the ground beside him, every cell in his body was about to burst.Â
âYou ruined everything! This is your fault, prince of stars!â He got up on one knee and lunged at them. Before any of the two could react, green scrawny hands pulled his arms back before he could even reach them. Then more hands grabbed his ankles, then torso similar to Amaya. âAnd you Asha!, betrayed me for a dumb glowing light!â Ashaâs eyes furrowed at him, with a hint of pity . Earendel kneeled at his level, pointing the wand at his neck just like Magnifico did with his staff.Â
Earendel let out a small chuckle at the King's terrified expression. The hands pulled him towards the staff as he tried to claw away from his impending doom.Â
âGoodbye King of Rosasâ Asha trailed off as the last she saw of her former mentor was his face pleading for mercy before a bright green light blinded them and his staff fell next to Amayaâs. The bubble trapping the wishes broke as the blue orbs flew higher to meet the clouds that dispersed, revealing the rest of the constellations. The vines trapping the people below began to slither back, freeing the citizens wrists as the vines absorbed into the green crystal of Magnificoâs staff. Earendel gathered the wishes that began to float away, grouping them together. Asha watched from the platform as the wishes spun around him, then he waved his hands in a semi circle motion, the blue orbs shattered,
revealing a purple bluish mist as they rained down to their respective owners below. A rainbow aura filled the kingdom as the people gathered their wishes and color washed back to their faces.Â
 âââ ââ ââ â âââÂ
A woman lying unconscious from the arena gasped awake, sitting herself up as she scanned the area to process what happened for a second. She stared at the people who also began to sit up as a purple-bluish streak absorbed into the unconscious chests of the citizens as they too gasped awake. Murmurs erupted from the people as they watched the wishes rain down on the kingdom from above.
 âââ ââ ââ â âââÂ
Earendel took in the soft gentle breeze as he turned to Asha who was holding a flask in her hand. He could make out tiny yellow particles encased inside as Asha threw the bottle, shattering it mid air with her wand. The constellations blinked her a thank you before soaring back into the skies, rejoining the rest of the stars above. The both of them laughed at their victory as Earendel flew over to the girl, picking her up by the waist and twirling her around. Ashaâs long braids flew with the wind as laughter filled them both. Earendel gently put her down staring into her hazel eyes that reflected his glowing outline. The two locked eyes as they leaned in, Asha grabbed his cloak clasp pulling it with impatience as her lips pressed with his. Earendel's eyes widened for a split second then softed,
the warm feeling of Ashaâs lips made his heart slow down as he pulled Asha closer, cradling the back of her head and closed his eyes, never wanting this moment to end.Â

lil thoughts
Alr yippie fights over and uh the kiss scene soo peak i loved it ARGHHH anyway final chapter coming
Asha makes her way through the crowd, keeping her eyes locked with the knights taking Hamlet away. Making sure she was also hidden from view. The knights kept their gaze fixed on the arena above them as crowds began to also gather alongside, sharing confusion with one another.Â
âAsha?â The familiar voice brought ease to her shoulders. The girl whipped around to the 5â3 baker leaning on her crutch with two more of her friends behind her. âWe saw what happened and-â before Dahlia could finish her sentence Asha was already burying her face in her shoulder. Dahlia cradled Ashaâs head with her free hand, stroking her braids.Â
âI need to fix what I started,â She lifted her eyes to the two teens in front of her before pushing Dahlia away from her embrace, gripping her shoulders. Asha gave Bazeema and Simon a soft smile, then she ran off to the arena, leaving her friends behind to join whatever ceremony Magnifico had planned. She diverted her direction to the side where not many people stood as she pulled her hood over and peered at the side of a large pillar. A bunch of people in rags were being escorted by the knights, joining the rest of Rosasâs citizens. She could make out the woman in the red henin hat amongst the crowd and the tall man wearing a yellow tunic. Asha tried to scan for her parents amongst the metal armor but could only find her mother, eyes glued to the stage as a large man wearing a cape along with two knights in his side brought him up on stage. Magnifico walked over to the man who hung his head low before being met by the kingâs venomous eyes.Â
âTomĂĄs Valente if I'm correct?â Magnifico announced to the crowd, Asha bit her folded index finger. Her fatherâs arms were being held back by two knights in case he tried to strike the king. âThe chief of Hamlet, and my apprenticeâs father!â He let out a small chuckle then turned his attention to the crowd below.
(from a deleted scene)
The Hamlets stared at their leader up on stage, wondering what Magnifico will do to him. âAs for your wishing star, heâs in my grasp! Your little beacon of light has all but faded!â He waved his staff at the audience below, causing them to step a few feet back in case he accidentally hits them with a spell. Asha gritted her teeth, clutching her cloak tightly to contain the burning inside her. Her eyes were fixated on the stage; she didnât realize her friends came to join beside her. She jumped back a bit at the sight of the three teenagers next to her.
âWhat are you guys doing here!â she loudly whispered.Â
âWe're not letting you do this alone Ash,â Simon replied. Asha didnât need their comfort or reassurance because nothing of that matter would work. Hamlet was going to be punished and Earendel killed soon, Magnifico will succeed in his plans and everything will be pointed back to her. Guilt began to rise alongside the fire inside her.
âIâve seen your wishing tree, those stupid ribbons you hang up.â Magnifico waved a yellow ribbon mockingly in front of TomĂĄs. âIâll give you one last chance, turn to the wishing system or else!â Magnifico knew what his answer would be if it wasnât obvious already.Â
âHamlet will never turn to you!â one of the people in the crowd shouted. Magnifico shot a spell from his hand to the source of the voice as green magic coiled around Faustoâs mouth, shutting him up. Asha put her hand over her mouth, trying to cover the sound of her heavy breathing.Â
âNow, where was I? Yes, as for your punishment!â He turned his attention to TomĂĄs who displayed clenched teeth through the knights holding his arms back. Magnifico stepped a few steps away from him, giving them distance. He outstretched his hand towards the chief, directing his aim at his chest. Sickly green magic seeped through his fingers, penetrating TomĂĄsâs chest who could only watch as pain surged through his chest to his entire body. He groaned in agony, crumpling to his knees as the knights beside him held him steady. The pain was finally over to TomĂĄsâs relief but a fatigue overwhelmed him, he could only stare at the king with pleading eyes but he never was spared as Magnifico stared at the blue orb seeing his wish play out. TomĂĄs stood tall among the Hamlets below, as if he was making an inspiring speech, the people listening cheered him on. Ashaâs breathing only quickened then it slowed down. She wanted to bolt to the stage and take a swing at the monster hurting her father before her eyes. Dahlia, Bazeema, and Simon despite their efforts managed to hold Asha in place as she herself fell to her knees. Dahlia kept her hold on Ashaâs shoulders firm. Magnifico held TomĂĄsâs wish back, now hovering his hand above the audience below. Green magic flowed out his fingers once more, penetrating all of Hamlet's chest with separate strings of magic meant for each one. Cries of pain filled the arena, Magnifico could only laugh at his victory with each wish forming in his hands. Children who also displayed the same eyebags as their parents huddled close to them as their wish was now in their tyrant's hands. Rosasâs people distanced themselves from the Hamlets, fearful their wish might also be taken by Magnifico. Asha tried to pull her arms free from her friends trying to hold her back from running to the stage endangering them and herself even more. But Asha didnât care, she managed to break free from Dahliaâs tight grip then Bazeemaâs followed by Simonâs which was quite difficult since he had the strongest grip. Before any of the teens could hold her back she was running to the crowd below. Elanor and Bazeemaâs father stared shocked at her unexpected arrival.Â
âAnyone else who wants to defy the system?â Magnificoâs grip tightened on his staff.
Amaya leaned against a wall watching the weak TomĂĄs before her before turning her attention back to her husband. âTake them to the dungeon!â he ordered his guards, they obeyed without question. Taking the Hamlets away from the crowd. The Rosas citizens looked at them with concern, frustration, and some anger as the Hamlets were taken to the side of the stage through a back entrance. TomĂĄs was also dragged down from the stage to follow his community.Â
âIf you want them to turn to your system, why not show them the real truth about it?â All eyes were on Asha, she locked eyes with the man she once believed was good, now dropping the mask he hid from her and the people for many years. The king was now finally showing his true colors to everybody.Â
(same deleted scene)
Magnifico began to laugh at her from the stage. âOh, Asha, whatever are you talking abââ
âYou're secretly stealing fragments of their souls during every wishing ceremony, using dark magic!â Her attention was now on the people. Magnificoâs eyes widened at the word dark magic. âDonât you see?, your sick family and friends. Those who have died because he told them they were granted. All because of him!â She pointed a finger at the king standing on stage. Murmurs began to arise, some questioning, some not believing but at least she exposed her mentor for what he truly is.Â
âCommon now, sheâs lying! It's all because of that wishing star!âÂ
âSheâs not wrong!â Elanor spoke up which managed to silence the crowd of murmurs. âIâve seen the consequences of giving up a wish, why else is my husband now bedridden after we gave our wish to you!âÂ
âYou said the feeling was normal!â another one spoke up.
âMy daughter had to carry the burden of taking care of me,â it was Bazeemaâs father.
âLouis died because of you!â one of the crew members from the docks shoutedÂ
âYou soul sucking freak!âÂ
More anger boiled in the crowd, now at Magnifico as they began to take a few steps closer to the stage. The guards stood frozen, not sure whether to defend the king who now revealed himself. Amaya became tense. The thing she feared the most was happening and her own boiling rage was stirring inside her.
Not because of her husband but because of Asha, the prince of stars. It wasnât much of a problem now they have him locked up in the tower. Magnifico slowly backed away from the crowd of people who tried to grab him and pull him down. He caught a glimpse of Asha slowly backing away from him, giving the king one final dirty look before fleeing the opposite way of the crowd.Â
âWeâll free the Hamlets, you go rescue Earendel!â Dahlia instructed. Asha was hesitant on the idea of her friends putting themselves at risk like this. She wanted to say no but who knew what Magnifico would do to them if they didnât act.Â
âBut what about the guards?âÂ
âIt's alright, that's why we have Simon.â Bazeema nudged the trainee knight on the shoulder, making Asha slightly chuckle.Â
âOkay, be safe!â Asha embraced Dahlia.Â
âYou too,â Dahlia added, patting her friend on the back. Asha moved on to Bazeema, wrapping her arms around her, then Simon as she rested her head on his chest as Simon patted her head a couple of times before she let go.Â
âIâll be back before you guysââ A blood curdling scream ripped through the crowd, interrupting their plan. A woman dropped on the cold floor, few more followed but were reluctantly caught by the shoulders by people standing nearby.
The teens directed themselves on the stage where Magnifico began to laugh as he pulled out a wish from thin air and crushed it. A man groaned while clutching his chest as he fell in the arms of two people. The masses scrambled, running to the gates hoping to escape. Luckily most were able to get through but the remaining people that couldnât run to safety dropped on the cold floor. Dahlia was now shaking Ashaâs shoulders, who could only stare at the mass fleeing back to the safety of their homes.Â
âAsha!â She finally snapped out from her trance-like state watching the people scramble and stampede. âYou need to go now!â Dahlia was pushing her towards the back door. Asha bolted down the steps of the arena towards the small wooden door in the side. She took a moment to take one more look at her friends and Valentino heading the opposite direction, she kept her focus on them until they disappeared from her view as she shut the door behind her, drowning out the screams of panic from outside.Â
âââââ ââ ââ â âââ
The three teens descended the small stairs that spiraled down to the depths of the cells below them. Their steps echoing the further down they went, making their presence known to everyone below. Bazeema held the goat steady in her arms, worried she might accidentally drop him while going down. Dahlia was the first to reach the bottom, hobbling slowly, careful the rocky floor wouldnât cause trouble for her crutch.
The line of cells were waiting for her to proceed further in. Dahlia ran to each cell, pressing her face between the bars hoping to spot silhouettes huddled in the darkness of their limited space. To Dahliaâs relief she could make out a brown patched dress from the small lantern lit on the side of their cell. A few people emerged from the darkness, ten to be exact. One of the Hamlets gripped the bars, locking pleading eyes with the baker.
âYou guys shouldnât be here!, the guards might spot you!â She whispered.Â
âThats why weâre gonna get you guys outâŠâ Dahlia confidently said. Problem was finding the key to unlock the cell doors. Dahlia turned to Bazeema and Simon wondering if they had anything in mind. Bazeema shook her head then the girls eyes were on Simon.Â
âIâm just a trainee, I donât knowâ He shrugged.Â
There were limited options they had, stealing the keys would be difficult, especially if they werenât the best at pick pocketing. Bazeema began to pace, trying to dig out ideas from her head. Dahlia leaned against the bars, staring at the rocky floor. Suddenly footsteps from above interrupted their thoughts.Â
âYou guys need to hide!â One of the Hamlets whispered.Â
Dahlia scanned the area. Seeing if there was any kind of pillar to cover themselves in.Â
âThereâs a small area here!â Bazeema pointed to an open tiny room, enough for them to stay in. Dahlia adjusted her small glasses to get a closer look at the knight who already made his way down.Â
"Where's Simon and Valentino?â Bazeema whispered behind Dahlia who didnât have enough time to check if everyone was in their hiding spot. The baker clenched her teeth as the guard began to make his way down the cells, eyeing the prisoners behind the bars. Bazeema pulled Dahlia in, the guard was already close to where they were hiding as the girls crouched low, Dahlia holding her crutch steady. Bazeema shut her eyes, praying for the safety of Simon and the goat as the footsteps grew louder with each step. Dahlia already knew that being in this small corner wasnât gonna conceal them forever. All of a sudden to her solace the approaching footsteps came to a halt, the baker could see the guard from the corner of the wall press his face against the bars, observing the fearful Hamlets inside. Dahlia rested her body up against a wall, placing her hand over her mouth to make sure even a slight breath couldnât be heard. Bazeema soon followed as they concealed themselves further in the tiny space they had. The footsteps resumed, the panic returning to both of them again. The light of the lantern the guard was holding only added to their already racing heartbeat. Then the thing they've been dreading came to them; the light blinded them, the towering silhouette stood over them as he got closer.Â
âWhat are you doing here!, you're not supposed to-â but before he could finish his sentence a thud from his head hitting the floor made the girls flinch. Dahlia and Bazeema looked up at their savior.
âSimon!, where were you!â Dahlia was the first to stand up, using her crutch to help stabilize her. Valentino joined him, holding a ring of keys in his mouth. âYou got the keys!â Dahlia took the ring making sure to pet the kid.
âWe found a corner to hide in near the stairs, while he wasnât looking Valentino snagged his keys.âÂ
âThank you Simon and Val, let's go!We need to hurry!â Dahlia instructed as she ran to the cell where the guard was just peering over. She inserted the rusty key into the keyhole and a satisfied click followed as she slid the cell door to the side exposing the light inside the room making their faces clear. âHey, it's okay, we're gonna get you out!â She crouched down to the huddled Hamlets who now gave a grateful smile to the teens.Â
Dahlia wrapped one woman's arm around her shoulder helping them to stand. Bazeema soon joined in, helping two men onto their feet. The villagers gave them a thankful look as some managed to stabilize themselves.Â
âIt's okayâŠI think I can walk,â the woman reassured her as she let her arm go from Dahliaâs neck. She rushed over to another cell, sliding the bars exposing more Hamlets inside. Then she went over to more cells, unlocking them. Finally she reached the last cell and unlocked it. Dahlia rushed inside but something caught her eye. The woman wearing a pink polka dotted veil being hugged by one arm by a large man with an upswept hair with hints of grey.Â
âSakina?TomĂĄs?âÂ
The couple looked up at the baker, astonished.Â
âDahlia?, what are you doing here?â Sakina asked, their eyes widened as Bazeema and Simon followed in. Valentino ran into the couple's arms as they returned their embrace to the goat. Â
âWe're here to get you out!, follow usâ Simon gestured for them. TomĂĄs helped Sakina stand as the rest of Hamlet began to walk out from their imprisonment. Some began to cough while others were being helped by people nearby. They needed to escape to somewhere where Magnifico would never find them. Not Hamlet, Not Rosas. Nowhere was safe.Â
 âââ ââ ââ â âââ
Asha was shooting up the steps, heart pounding, throat burning with every breath she took. Her body was the least of her worries as all her focus was getting to the top of the stairs.
The screams of the people running to safety from the king lingered in her mind, images of people collapsing on the floor while Magnifico enjoyed every moment of making these people suffer made a bile in her stomach form. Asha stole a glance at the stained glasses of art on the left, painting Magnifico as a glorious king, concealing the evil behind each smile he displayed. Holding an orb in his hand was a symbol of control and power not protection. Many questions washed over her head on how Magnifico could keep up this system without anyone questioning. Moreover what kind of spell did he place on the kingdom that made it so nobody could see the true consequence of giving up a wish or a soul. Asha reached for the handrail where the steps ended and pulled herself up to the top. She took a moment to catch her breath, her chest rising and falling per second. She stared at her pocket, the wand still inside as she pulled it out to take a closer look at the sparkles, then at the door that stood in front of her. Asha didnât know whether Magnifico had returned already before her but last she checked he was too busy laughing at crushing the wishes in front of Rosas. She swallowed her fear, gripping the Rosas handle tightly; preparing herself for what's on the other side of the door; Earendel?Magnifico?, some kind of spell?. Asha pushed the door, revealing an empty office;
no Earendel in sight, nor surprise attack. She meticulously made her way inside then turned towards the black mirror in front of her. Asha took in a breath, a warm feeling surged through her arm as she waved her arm in a semi circle motion. To her satisfaction the mirrors obeyed as they split; the wishing room that once felt ethereal now felt suffocating, she lifted her head to the few wishes scared to come down as they all gathered to the peak of the tower. She observed the room, a black cauldron bubbling with smoke caught her eye for a second then her eyes were then diverted to a boy sitting against the wall; green cuffs kept him from going anywhere, a green gag covered his mouth preventing any speech from exiting his mouth. A sense of relief mixed with panic consumed her as she ran to him.Â
âEarendel!âÂ
Asha ran to the weakened starboy as he lifted his chin to see the blurry figure running towards him. His eyes widened once his vision cleared at the sight of the girl. Asha knelt down on his level, with a flick of her hand the gag obscuring his mouth disappeared. Earendel took his time to catch his breath before muttering to her.
âAshaâŠâ his voice was still quite weak but it was clear enough to hear. Asha took no time to wrap her arms around him, burying her face in his shoulder as he returned the embrace despite the cuffs on his wrists pulling him back. âYou shouldnât be here,â Earendel pulled Asha from their hug, resting his hands on her shoulders. âMagnifico could be back soon-â Asha covered his mouth to prevent him from saying anymore that urged her to leave.Â
âIâm not leaving you!, Iâm gonna get you outâ Asha lifted his hand, inspecting the shackles around his wrist and pointed the tip of her wand to the cuffs then tiny heat sparks began to fly as her wand began to light up. The cuffs were begging to loosen on his wrists as they started to split in half. Suddenly her spell was cut off and Asha was abruptly grabbed by two giant claw-like hands as they pinned her against a wall.Â
âAsha!â Earendelâs voice was now panicked instead of relief as he tried to break free from the shackle Asha loosened only to find out they repaired itself and was now tighter than before in his wrist. Asha struggled against the venomous hands, trying to wriggle free but they only held her tighter. She tried to get a grip of her wand but a sense of dread hit her when she spotted the glowing stick a few meters away. She mustâve dropped it when the hands grabbed her. Then two silhouettes appeared in the distance. A tall man, and a woman beside him only up to his chin. Magnifico appeared from the darkness, revealing himself and a clump that had fallen from his upswept hair now on to his forehead. Amaya also revealed herself shortly after with a maleficent smile across her cheeks.Â
âOh Asha you clever girl, you should always know to keep your guard upâ Magnificoâs staff hit the ground with each step he took. Amaya playfully twirled hers around her fingers. âI had a feeling youâd come here to save your precious wishing star!â He growled, lifting his chin up with the point of the diamond shaped crystal on his staff revealing a part of the bleeding graze Earendel had received from Magnifico and Amaya. Ashaâs blood was now boiling, she wished she could get out from the venomous hands pinning her against a wall and shoot a spell at Magnifico that would make sure he suffered the same as Earendel.Â
âNow that youâre here this makes it even better,â Amaya pranced over to the starboy, whispering in his ear. âWe take fifty percent of your power and in exchange, weâll let Asha go and stop taking your precious starsâŠâ
(From Gigi's other ways animatic *I had to include this I love circe*)
Earendel bit his lip, his mind going back and forth whether he should accept the proposal. Amaya held the bottle containing the trapped constellations to his face, swishing the liquid preventing them from escaping in a taunting manner. Magnifico outstretched his hand towards AshaÂ
âThe boyâs protection magic is weak against you AshaâŠâ His cheeks shot up, exposing his teeth.
A green magic string stabbed her chest and a blue aura came out. Asha groaned as a stabbing pain engulfed her entire body at once. A heavy weight was overtaking her as she wished she could drop on the floor but the hands pinning her to the wall prevented her from doing so. Earendel shut his eyes in an attempt to silence Ashaâs cries of pain until his decision came out from his mouth.
âOkay!I'll give you half of my powers!â Amayaâs smile grew as Earendel spoke one more time. âBut you promise to let Asha go!, and stop taking the starsâ His voice was stern, locking eyes with Amaya to see if her face spoke genuine truth or lies. Magnificoâs magic slipped from his fingers as Ashaâs pain subsided, then a cold feeling shot up from her body, reminding her of the failure in her wishing ceremony. Soon the pressuring feeling also dropped as the green hands disappeared, Asha crumpled to the ground; still quite weak, she clutched her throat coughing as if there was water stuck in her lungs. Magnificoâs staff was now pointed towards Earendel and so was Amayaâs.
A sudden pain in his upper chest seized him as he felt like a part of his flesh was being forcefully ripped out. His lungs were on fire and so was his throat, most of the agony was in his chest. Two yellow streaks of magic flowed out from the clasp keeping his cloak together and into each of the royalâs staff. Finally, until what felt like hours ended as the magic he was willing to give up was now in the monarchâs hands, their figures glowed, illuminating the dark wishing room. Ashaâs strength slowly returned to her as she ran to Earendelâs side; the boyâs body collapsed forward onto Ashaâs arms as she lowered him to a kneeling position. His hair was now fading to a darker yellow and his glow was now subtle; Earendel had the strength to open his eyes to watch the royals enjoy their new power, his eyes turning from a brown earthy color to a light misty brown for a split second. Every breath felt like a chore to the starboy as he clutched his chest, trying to soothe the soreness in him. Magnifico turned to the two, a mocking grin plastered on his face making Asha sick to her stomach.Â
âI have to admit, you two managing to uncover the truth about our wishing ceremony was something I never imagined. You want to know how I was able to keep the peace in Rosas without anyone suspecting?âÂ
âYou put a spell on the whole kingdom?â Asha spat, theorizing on the question
âPartially yes, putting a spell to hide their physical appearance was one thing but you missed one moreâŠâ He leaned in closer as Earendel put his arm out in front of Asha creating a bit of distance between them. âPlay on words, twist them like a knife and everyone will follow your ways, no one will question a thing. Why?, because people believe in the words of authorityâÂ
A chill ran down Ashaâs spine. Magnificoâs back was now turned on them, eyeing the wand Asha dropped from afar. He levitated the wand towards his palm, twirling the magical stick around between his fingers before throwing it in front of Asha. She hesitantly picked it up, wondering if Magnifico cast some kind of hidden spell on it that she wasnât aware of.Â
âYou want to save your precious wishes?,â He slightly turned his head, revealing his glowing poison eyes to them. Then before anyone could react the king slammed his staff to the ground; green hands began to shake the floor from below as they lifted the platform higher.
The pointed roof of the tower was beginning to open up, revealing the night sky above; the wishes also floated towards the night sky, escaping from the tower they were trapped in for so long but before any of them could even reach for the stars above Magnifico summoned a large magical bubble, preventing the wishes from flying to high from his reach; He clicked his fingers, removing Earendelâs restraints as he managed to slowly get to his feet with Ashaâs help.Â
âDefeat me in battle and Iâll let you have your wishes and the prince of stars!â Magnifico announced. Then he shot a spell at the platform; green tendrils slithered down the tower and onto the city below. People fled the safety of their homes to watch the final battle commence, suddenly their wrists were trapped to the tendrils running through the cobble stone, the moment the green magic touched their feet below as it began to spread across the kingdom.
Dahlia followed alongside the Hamlets outside the castle, hobbling to keep up with them. Bazeema leads the villagers with Simon at the very back. The baker lifts her head to the open castle above with green hands holding the platform above, a queasy feeling settled in her stomach as her eyes drifted to the green tendrils trapping the citizens' wrists in place, rooting them to the ground. Dahlia noticed Bazeema getting close to the vines below them as she called out.
âBazeema wait!â She tried to reach out to her friend to stop her but it was too late. The vines grabbed her wrists as the girl tried to pull away but to no use. A few other Hamlets were also trapped by the vines as they began to creep up to the two remaining teens and Hamlets. Dahlia tried to step back but the vines caught up to her, pulling her wrists down along with Simon, Valentino, and the remaining Hamlets. Asha took a step forward to see the cascading vines bounding the people to the ground under his magic.Â
âWhat have you done to them!â
âRelax, we wonât hurt them, their part of the deal.â Amaya reassured her but it was far from a reassurement. Magnifico took a step forward, towering over Asha to make his deal.
âDefeat us here tonight and weâll also release the people, and I donât mean knock us down oh noâŠI mean we fight till one or two of us is killed!âÂ
lil thoughts: Okay this has to be the best chapter Ive written so far omg lowk I cooked, and I do love how high the stakes have gotten plus the angst with Starboy and all also the final battle is about to commence so...stay tunned for that hope ya'll enjoy this chapter. Only like... two more to go yippie plus the extra
A lil bit abt it: I wanted her design to have alot of gold jewelry and yellow tatoos displaying the sun on Circe to connect her a bit to helios since yk she's the daughter of him. I also gave her a moly earing to represent the moly in her island. I did wanna give a gold chain to her face to give off a beauty and also a bit of a symbolizim that shes sorta trapped exiled on island of Aeaea (Madeline Miller).
Circe also has a silver ring that can extend and discharge a venom (stingray venom) she also uses this in otherways.
Also this is how I imagined Circe to look in the Odyssey and Madeline miller (and epic ofc)
Tw: Okay so theres a small torture scene w Earendel if you wanna skip it scroll from: "Earendel didnât need his restraints.........his eyes".
With that out of the way....enjoy!
Asha pulled her hood down and adjusted the red violet ribbon holding her cloak together. She rested her hands on one of the walls of a house, eyeing the castle above, now all she needed to do was find a way inside without Magnifico or Amayaâs knowledge and try to figure out a way to release the wishes. She took a glance at the forest behind her wondering if Earendel was secretly following her in fear of her safety. But something caught her eye from all those thick trunks; a lone brown baby goat with a white streak in the middle of his face, sporting yellow pajamas. Asha sprinted to the kid putting her plan of breaking in the castle to the side.Â
âValentino!âÂ
The goat sighed in relief, seeing the girl with long box braids swooshing as she ran towards him. Valentino ran up to her arms as Asha stroked his soft pajamas comforting him. She didnât know why he was here, Valentino wasnât the type to wander off into the woods and get lost like this. Asha put him down on the grass and noticed the panicked look on his eyes as he bleated out to her as if trying to communicate something. He then cocked his head to the right.Â
âOkay, Iâll follow you!â She stood up running after him as the kid galloped ahead of her through the trees.
Thankfully his bright yellow pajamas were enough to make him out through the forest. Valentino came to a stop then hid behind a nearby tree, Asha caught up to the kid then she froze at the sight. Hamlets were being ushered out of their homes by men in armor. The same ones who tried to capture Earendel a few days ago. Asha peered to the side to see more Hamlets walking with knights by their side, holding their sheathes tightly just in case one of them tried to escape. She squinted her eyes trying to see if she could spot her parents amongst the mass of people hoping they would still be safe inside, Her heart sank in dismay when she spotted a blue caped man along with a woman with a pink polka dotted veil covering her short curly hair. She wanted to run to them but a knight turned to her general direction as if something caught his eye. Asha whipped herself around to the same tree Valentino was hiding in, covering her mouth with her hand as if they could hear her breathing. She sank down, bringing her knees close to her.
Magnifico must have found out about the wishing tree. Asha was now wishing Earendel was comforting her here but thankfully her goat sat by her, leaning his head against her arm. Asha leaned her head to the side of the trunk watching as the last of the Hamlets disappeared into the distance. Valentino was nudging her side urging her to stand up. The goat was right she couldnât wallow in her sorrows, she slowly stood up, placing her hand on the tree for support. Asha made her way to the spot where she left Earendel hoping she could find the celestial entity waiting for her there. She lifted her head to the stars above, the twinkling dots seemed to blink at her but something about them felt off.
Some began to disappear and some began to spread apart from each other. A realization hit her hard and she began to pick up her pace which turned into a full sprint. Ashaâs throat was beginning to burn but she swallowed the pain, continuing to bolt through the trees until she stopped in a small open area she remembered leaving him.Â
âEarendel!â her heart was beating rapidly and she almost thought it was going to explode out her chest. She scanned the branches in hopes the starboy was just hiding or resting on one of them. A bleep caught her attention and she followed to where her goat was peering down. She kneeled down to examine his discovery but it only made the heart in her chest beat even quicker. She touched the crimson red stain on the grass, the warm sticky liquid spreading as she rubbed her fingers together. Asha squinted her eyes to take a closer look and noticed small yellow particles imitating the stars above flickering in the red liquid. A sick feeling piled on her stomach as she retched at the sight. She raised her eyes to the castle staring down at her. Asha stood up, facing the castleâs judgement with a dagger look before sprinting to the city.Â
âââ ââ ââ â âââ
Earendel flutters his eyes open, fighting the banging in his head as he adjusts his vision to his new surroundings. He could hear every breath he took, taking in the suffocating air around. His mouth seemed to be obscured by a squeezing pressure in his cheeks but he didnât care about that for the moment. The place felt familiar, he scanned the room seeing if anything stuck out to him. He lifted his chin up, the stinging feeling in his neck interrupted his wandering as he winced. He instead raised his eyes up to the ceiling above to see floating spheres reaching for the peak of the tower as if trying to escape.
(imagine this but a dark environment)
The wishing room that felt like a surreal dream was now a place where he was a prisoner, Earendel could vaguely recall what happened to him that led him here in this place after he blacked out. Magnifico wanted to capture him and he tried to fight back but he ended up injured and in his lair. Then he gazed forward at his two abductors, standing over a lab table. Earendel tried to conjure up a spell in his hand but a cold feeling was replacing the warmness. He turned his attention to his hands, green shackles tightening around his wrists, blocking any magic from flowing through. He tried to stand up, seeing how far the chains allowed him to move. He only got up to his knees before the chains dragged him down to the cold stone floor. The rattle of the chains alerted the queen as she slightly turned her head to him.Â
âI see, our prince is awakeâŠâ She strutted over to him, each step made Earendelâs blood run cold. She grabbed his chin, turning it to the side, exposing the graze on his neck that was already scabbing. âTsk, did my husband go too harsh on you? I'll tell him to go easier next time.â Earendel veered his face away from Amayaâs tight grasp.Â
âAmaya!â Magnifico called out. He was holding a small glass tube between his index finger and thumb. He then tossed the small tube to Amaya who successfully caught it with ease. âFind an incision somewhere, I know the spell I used hit him somewhere, extract his blood.â
Earendel didnât need his restraints for his body to go tense. Amaya was already holding the tube close to him, about to do who knows what with his wound. She brushed her cold fingers on the graze that was already forming a scab, holding the red liquid up to her eye level. The queenâs face hardened, displaying that of dissatisfaction as Amayaâs staff flew into her hand with ease as she tightened her grip near the purple crystal. Gliding the tip of the staff on his body in an upward waving motion, slowly making its way to his chin and near the side of his neck. Suddenly a sharp piercing pain followed through the side where his injury was. Sweat trickled down his face as warm crimson red traveled down his neck. Amaya then rested the neck of the tube to his skin, scooping up the blood that already escaped the incision. More blood began to seep out and slide down into the glass tube. Earendel could only squinch wondering if that would decrease the burning, stinging feeling in his neck but to his dismay it only made it worse.Â
âShh, itâll only hurt more if you move.â The tube was now filled with blood that only reached half way. She held up the tube to her eye level to examine the sparkling red liquid in her hands. âThere, we're done.â She gazed at his head which hung low, not wanting to look at the gore before his eyes.Â
âAmaya! Darling, I'm getting impatient!â Magnifico, tapped his fingers on the desk expecting her assignment to be handed to him. Amaya hastily got up, presenting the tube filled with red liquid inside. Magnifico swiped it from her hands, pouring it into the cauldron, then he stirred the substance with his staff, the crystal inside the concoction that glowed a bright green.
Amaya soon joined with her staff. The royals let their staff simmer in the cauldron waiting for the spell to finish. Amaya peered below seeing many armored knights ushering people in rags, her lips rose to her cheeks as she let out a chuckle.Â
âLet, the show beginâ she turned to her husband who was already kneeling down to Earendelâs level. Magnifico grabbed the princeâs hair which was now a dimmer yellow, pinning it to the wall behind him, forcing him to look at Magnificoâs poisoned eyes before saying something that would haunt his mind.
âI wonder what will happen if we take all the stars? Will the prince of stars die orâŠâ The green staff that was sitting in the cauldron for a good few minutes flew in his hands as he pressed the cold edge of the crystal to Earendelâs neck. âWhat if we kill you? Will the stars die?â
Lil thoughts: Okay this chapter is kinda dark so...yeah I wanted to establish how evil Amaya and Magnifico can be and how corrupted they are. Anyways stay tunned for the next chapter
Asha touched the Rosas handle, looking up at the giant door to what awaits her on the other side of the room.
(ignore amaya and Asha)
This time Asha at least felt more comfortable presenting herself in front of Magnifico since Earendel was in the kitchen with her friends who were trying to hide him from the castle guards as best they could. Something was telling her to go back and not continue her sessions with her mentor anymore but she didnât listen to her gut because her mind was telling her Magnifico would get suspicious. Asha swallowed the queasy feeling inside her and pushed the door open. Magnifico was slumped in his desk chair eyeing a small paper in his hand. He didnât seem to notice Asha entering the room. What was he reading that had to be so important. Asha thought as she cleared her throat to grab his attention. Magnifico peered from the top line of the paper he was reading and was greeted with his apprentice standing a few feet away from him.Â
âAsha, my apologies I didnât see you come inâ Magnifico set the parchment aside. Something within Asha made her feel off, was it Magnifico in front of her or some invisible force that was causing her this feeling. It was if he had some increase in power she could sense but she wasnât so sure. âLets start our session,â He clasped his hands together which echoed across the room and with a whip of his wrist the magic mirror on the side obeyed his command, splitting in two revealing the wishes huddling together near the peak of the tower as if they were scared of Magnificoâs entrance. Asha followed her mentor inside, Magnifico waved his hand in a circular motion as three green knights appeared, weapons branded in their hands: A bow, A sword, and an axe. The troops stood in an attack stance expecting some kind of assault on them. Asha froze in place then looked at her mentor who displayed a confident look in his eyes. He pulled out a white wand that resembled a unicorn horn.
(smth like this)
âThis is a training wand, similar to how you channel your energy to your palm, use it here against the opponents in front of you.â He gestured to the knights in a ready stance. âRest assured, they wonât physically harm you.â Asha stared at the three opponents in front of her then at the wand that was now in her hands. Her worry of fainting or feeling dizzy wasnât lingering in her mind so much because of Earendelâs help.Â
âIs this some kind of test?â she questioned him.Â
âYou are correct Asha, use everything that you've studied to your abilities,â The green knights began to slowly advance on her, raising their weapons above their heads. Magnifico stepped aside creating a large dome that kept him and his lab experiments from getting hit,
leaving Asha and the three knights inside the circular battle arena. She pointed her wand hoping it could at least let the troops know to back off a bit but to her dismay they began to spread out. Asha took in a deep breath focusing the energy on her arm only as her wand began to glow.
The swordsman was the first to attack, charging full at her. Followed by the archer pulling his arrows back ready to shoot then the axman. She directed her wand to the swordsman hitting him with a spell as he ricocheted backwards hitting the barrier behind him. Asha then conjured up a shield with her free hand as arrows soared towards her hitting the barrier she created. Asha brushed away a bead of sweat that fell from her face.
Taking in another deep breath as her focus was on the axman in front of her. He circled Asha slowly inching closer until he swung at her. She ducked, the blade only hitting her temple. The cold sensation of the blade made her skin tingle as she shot one more spell at the axmanâs abdomen, as he was knocked back a few inches away from her. Giving her enough time to examine the part where the blade touched her, she looked at her fingers expecting blood but nothing. Seems Magnifico was telling the truth about his illusion magic not hurting her physically.
Suddenly two arrows were shot in her direction, Asha managed to dodge it at the last second and shoot a counter spell at the archer but she held on to the spell as the bow manâs body was slowly beginning to disintegrate. Then it shattered like glass, leaving tiny green particles on the ground. Great, one down two more to deal with.
Asha slowly backed away letting the two remaining knights gather close to one another so they could strike her. She then focused on the small opening between them that she could run to. She sprinted, as they swung their weapons to hit her, she slid down to avoid the blades that were about to strike her. Then she pointed her wand blasting a large beam of light at the duo.
Their bodies began to disintegrate like the archers as green particles were what remained of them. Asha panted looking at her mentor who wore a proud yet confused look on his face. The dome dissipated and Magnifico began to applaud her. The wand in her hand too disappeared from her hand, serving its duty.Â
âWell done my student, although I must ask, how did you ever manage yourself without any dizziness? Channeling magic through a wand takes a huge toll on you.â Magnifico was towering over her, hands behind his back awaiting an answer from his student. Asha darted her eyes left and right trying to figure out an excuse or lie she could tell him. Should she act her dizziness out, no itâd be obvious she was faking it. She bit her lip trying to find the right words to say.
âI, just you know, stayed calm and relaxed, making sure not to let too much negative emotions through,â that was a bad explanation, Asha prayed Magnifico wouldnât ask any more questions about why she wasnât stumbling or falling over after that battle.Â
âI see,â Magnifico lifted his head, eyeing Ashaâs height as if he was judging her. âIt seems you've been practicing magic, I'm quite impressed.âÂ
Asha bit her lip, Magnifico seemed like he knew about Earendel helping her with her magic but she didnât have any evidence to prove it. Ashaâs gaze was now in Magnificoâs office, the taste of leaving made her shoulders relax from the tension of her muscles that Magnifico was causing her. She never thought about leaving Magnificoâs session so badly before but this was it. Then the words sheâd been longing to hear finally reached her ears.
âYouâre dismissed, continue to practice magic at home,âÂ
Asha thanked her mentor and sprinted out the door making sure to grab her satchel on the way. She made her way downstairs to her friends who were busy working. Asha spotted Simon through a mini window in the kitchen talking to the captain of the guard. Bazeema was helping Dahlia with a tray. Earendel approached her knowing she would be searching for him.Â
âComon, let's go.â She gestured to him as she waved goodbye to her friends before leaving with the starboy.Â
âââ ââ ââ â âââ
The pair passed by the docks, hoods up in case any guards were around. Asha noticed the same pair of crew she saw yesterday gathered. They seemed frantic, and some of the men were yelling. Asha scanned the group in search of Louis wondering if they were scolding him for his actions on the boat yesterday. Then something grabbed her attention, her bag was feeling quite heavy from usual and a faint glow emitted from the side of her flap.Â
âWhat is it?â Earendel asked, seeing Ashaâs displayed look of confusion. She slowly opened the flap, peering inside to see a lone blue orb.
Asha knitted her brows and pulled the wish out. It was Louisâs wish, the scene of him standing on the bowsprit. Confusion took over her mind. How did his wish end up here? She made sure everyoneâs wish was released and returned too. Did she miss one? She couldnât recall seeing the wish when she was packing her bag, did it just appear now. Asha gazed over at the group in the harbor and headed over to them hoping Louis would be hiding among them but to her dismay he was nowhere to be found. Earendel followed, keeping his hood and distance from the crew.Â
âNeed something?â One of the men asked as Asha approached them.Â
âHave you seen Louis, I saw him yesterday with you guys,â She gripped her cloak waiting for some answer that would reassure her but that was far from what she hoped.Â
âLouis?Have you not heard the news?â One of the men asked. Which made her stomach queasy on what he was gonna follow up on. She couldnât prepare herself for what he was gonna say next.
âLouis is dead.âÂ
âââ ââ ââ â âââ
Magnifico stood over his window, staring at the tiny dots as usual. Amaya soon joined his watch, she could tell something was bothering her husband.Â
âWhat's on your mind, mi-rey?â She asked, stroking his shoulder, âdid the session with Asha not go swell?âÂ
âIt went fine,â He grumbled. âIts just, something about the way she used magic didnât sit right with meâÂ
Amaya raised an eyebrow, curious on what more he had to say.Â
âWhen she was battling the illusions I created, I noticed she never had any kind of dizziness or fainting experiencesâŠâ He ran his fingers through his hair. âThe prince must be teaching her!.â. The wishing star was now taking over his mentorship role. What more could that star do to add fuel to the raging fire inside him. Magnifico pounded a fist to the glass. He then buried his face in his hands and began to pace.Â
âMi rey!â Amaya trotted over to him, stroking his chest, the soft linen of his robe brushed against her fingers. Magnifico managed to stop in his tracks from the tantrum he was about to throw and stroked his wife's hair. âCalmâŠhm, good.âÂ
(Amaya is so hot here)
âThank you, mi reina.âÂ
âAre we done with the spell?â She inquired hoping to put whatever more rage in his mind to the sideÂ
âAlmostâŠwe just need one more ingredient.â He sauntered over to one of his lab tables where a cauldron was waiting for him. Purple and green smoke was rising to the high ceiling above, spreading its sickly color through the room. He glided his hands on the rough pages of the forbidden book, reading the text in his head. Amaya swishes around a beaker containing hot pink liquid inside, leaning against one of the lab tables watching her king leaning over the cauldron.Â
âWhatâs that darling?â He inquired, noticing Amaya working on her own thing from the corner of his eye.Â
âJust something I've been working on the past couple of days, I think we can put it to good use.â She held up the beaker that now contained a grey liquid instead of the pink one she was just holding before.
âIâll let you in on the plan darling,â she stroked his cheek with the back of her hand. âAll we need to do is destroy Asha, make Hamletâs arrest.âÂ
âââ ââ ââ â âââ
Dead, Louis is dead. The sentence played in her head, again and again. When did he die? Did his wish not return to him when she and Earendel released them yesterday. She took a deep breath trying to find the right words to say.Â
âHow did he die?âÂ
âWe think he might have collided with something on his way back. We got a recent message from one of the boat men who saw the wrecked ship. The poor guy must've drowned to death after falling overboard since we couldnât locate his body. But alas, we tried to warn him.â The crewman shrugged his shoulders dismissing the situation. Asha stole a glance at Earendel who also displayed a look of disbelief in his eyes. The group continued on with their talking, presuming about Louis and what else could've caused his death. Asha began to walk away from the group until something caught her ears.
âThe guy kept on sayin somethin about Magnifico granting his wish.âÂ
There, that sentence alone sent a chill down her spine. Magnifico obviously wasnât granting their wish, it was some false illusion he wanted the people of Rosas to believe. Asha clutched the strap on her satchel looking down at the floor below not meeting Earendelâs eyes. She turned her direction to the forest in the distance then she bolted. Running towards the thickets not caring if Earendel was calling her name to slow down.
She continued to run until she reached the forest, away from the city. Asha took a moment to catch her breath then pulled out the orb that was sitting inside her satchel. She took a moment to look at Louis standing on the bow spirit but something about his wish set her off. The blue orb was beginning to grey out, the blue and purple mist inside began to fade away and the once blue orb that hummed a soft tune started to die out until it was nothing more than a simple grey ball in her hands, crumbling away into ashes. Is this what happens to someoneâs wish when they die? How many lies did the people believe and how many died because of it. Louis was one of them of course. Earendel soon appeared asking her why she ran off like that without explanation. What was she supposed to tell him? That Louis was just one of the people who Magnifico manipulated in his web of lies which ended up with him getting killed. That there were more people who she probably didnât know about who also must've died. Whatever it was she needed to do something only she and Earendel knew about the real truth behind that mask of her mentor.Â
âI need to be somewhereâ Asha was now heading to another direction of Beech forest. She had no plan whatsoever on what she was gonna do but she had a goal. Release Magnificoâs wishes and return them back.Â
âIâll come with you,â Earendel was already trying to catch up with her. Asha couldnât, she couldnât let him come with her. Magnifico was already close to catching them in his office when they tried to save Elanor and the others' wishes and when he made his guards try to capture him. She couldnât risk anything else happening to him and only she was the safest option to try to get out of situations since she was his student. Plus Earendel was losing his powers rapidly if any more of it is lost who knows what else could happen.Â
âNo!â Asha bit her lip as if she could take back her refusal of help. Earendelâs eyes widened. âI need to be alone somewhereâŠâ That wasnât enough to mask what she was gonna do. Earendel knew her intentions already even if she didnât say it.
âIf you're gonna take back the wishes, let me come Asha!â His tone was now begging for her to let him in on the plan. âYou need me,â
That was true, she did need his abilities to set them free. But another plan came to her head that they could compromise with.Â
âWhat if you stay here and Iâll head to his castle to release themâ That was a suggestion she was willing to take. Earendel looked as if he disagreed with it, he wanted to come with her and help steal back the wishes.Â
âBut why canât I come, I also have something Magnifico has taken-â A sudden sharp pain in his head interrupted his sentence as he clutched his head, shaking it as if that would get rid of the heavy feeling. Asha saw his glow was already dimmer than before, it's almost as if he now blended with society. His innercape was now a dark yellow.Â
âBecause of that!â She snapped. âYour losing powers Earendel!, if you come with me to release them all, who knows what Magnifico will do if we get caught!âÂ
Asha had a point, Magnifico was already after him but something inside him also said he had to despite the danger of it. This was all the wishes they were releasing, not just a few. Earendel sighed.
âOkay, Iâll stay here and once the wishes are out in the openâŠIâll use my magic to set them free,âÂ
A sense of relief washed over her. Ashaâs grateful smile returned as she pulled up her hood. Â
âIâll meet you here once you're done.â Then she ran off into the thickets. Leaving Earendel and a sense of dread within him. He watched her figure get smaller the farther she ran, the trunks covering the sight of her purple dress.Â
âââ ââ ââ â âââ
TomĂĄs handed a wicker basket to Sakina as she began to pluck and examine each fruit in her hand before throwing it in the basket. TomĂĄs handed her a fruit from another tree he picked from, Sakina blushed and let out a small chuckle, pecking him on the cheek.Â
âChief TomĂĄs, sir,â Fausto tapped TomĂĄs on the shoulder alerting him.Â
âYes? Is something an issue?â he questioned. The orchardistâs face began to sweat as he stumbled on his words. âW-we have guests,â he pointed across the fence to the small bridge connecting Hamlet and Rosas. Many knights were marching towards the village. Many Hamlets dropped whatever they were doing to stare at the men in armor slowly arriving. TomĂĄs and Sakina stepped out of the orchard to see what the guards wanted.
âIs Chief TomĂĄs of Hamlet here?â One of them announced. All eyes were on TomĂĄs, who looked around for a split second before making himself known to them.Â
âY-yes, sirâs im TomĂĄs, what seems to be the problem?â he quickly fixed his tone. If Magnifico sent his troops to Hamlet he had to be confident in speaking. Then the terrible words hit him.
âTomĂĄs Valente, youâre under arrest! Everyone in this village is to drop their things and come with us!â
Murmurs began to stir, children hid behind the safety of their mothers and fathers. No one said a word to these men, not even TomĂĄs could reply to the statement. Arrested? They did nothing wrong. Then it hit him. They were probably trying to get information about Earendel. TomĂĄs kept his lips shut and so did everyone else once the murmur began to die down. Suddenly the knight grabbed his shoulder and quickly spun him around so he was now facing his wifeâs horrified face, then strong burning ropes were tied around his wrists. More knights began the same procedure as more villagers had their hands behind their backs and ropes securing their wrists in place. Some Hamlets began to back away and some ran to the safety of their homes but more knights chased the ones who fled.Â
âJust take me, Only me, they did nothing wrong!â TomĂĄs pleaded to the knight, gripping his shoulder. Sakina was also in the same position as him, hands tied behind her back.Â
âWhat are we being arrested for!â She shouted at the men expecting some answer from one of them.Â
âFor being part of an organisation against the king.â Before TomĂĄs or Sakina or anyone in the village could say a word they were forcefully shoved to follow wherever they took them. TomĂĄs saw other villagers heading the same direction on where they were being taken, he peered up at the tower shaming them from below.
Valentino hid behind a tree fearful of his life too as he watched his family being dragged to the castle. Not wanting to watch anymore, the goat ran through the tickets hoping he could find Asha.Â
âââ ââ ââ â âââ
A sudden howl in the wind brushed behind Earendel. He turned around to find two sorcerers with cream-white clothing behind him, both of them wielding a staff in hand but different colors; green for the man and purple for the woman.Â
âHello prince of stars, we meet again,â Magnificoâs voice was low and threatening. âShould I call you that, youâre very dim for a starâ
âSeems you're all alone hm?â Amaya added. With a sly grin. Earendel didnât need an introduction to the two monarchs. Something felt off as if they knew Ashaâs plan. He slowly backed away, hoping to create some distance between them and him.
âWhat do you want?â he snarled as he slightly hid his hand that was channeling magic behind him just in case.Â
âOh, no need to be rude now. We just want you.â She pointed a finger at him. Earendel conjured up a wand behind him. Gripping it tighter. âNow, we can do this the easy way or hard way⊠Just follow us in the castle and we wonât have any problems but if you refuse, weâll take matters into our own hands.â Amaya expected the prince of stars to take the hard way and she was proven right. The queen began to inch closer, waving her staff around in a threatening manner. Earendel shot a spell from the wand he was hiding behind and took off to the skies. That would at least give some level of advantage. Amaya pointed her crystal at the celestial being and a purple beam shot out from the tip of the crystal. Earendel easily dodged the spell countering it with his own spell; many beams of magic rained down on the monarchs attempting to hit them. Magnifico created a green opaque barrier where the deadly spells were about to hit them, shielding them from harm. Earendel hid behind one of the trees thinking about his options: running was one but it would only be easier for the monarchs to eventually catch up with him. This was an advantage for Asha, at least she could get to the castle safely without worry. Maybe he could try to stall them for now. His thoughts were soon interrupted as green flames began to engulf the trees around him.Â
(imagine this but green)
âTheres no need to hide prince of stars!â Magnifico yelled. The flames began to consume most of the woods. Earendel emerged from his hiding spot aiming his wand at an unprepared Magnifico as the tip of the stick began to glow a bright yellow then a long beam shot at him. Magnifico dodged at the last second only a slight burn behind his neck, then shot his own spell back at the starboy. Before Earendel could react, the venomous spell hit the side of his neck. His head hit the soft grass below him, somewhat cushioning his fall. He stared at the blurry trunks, multiplying every second. A stinging feeling surged through the right side of his neck. He slightly adjusted his position, touching his neck to assess the damage. His vision was blurring in and out but he could make out the red crimson stain in his hand. The flames around him began to die down around them and the last thing he saw was Magnifico and Amaya walking towards him before everything faded to black.Â
lil thoughts
Yeah this chapter is long, and I did kill off one of our characters :) anyway yeah hope u enjoyed that cliff hanger and see u next chapter!
Okay I will say Wicked the movie and the broadway is one of my fav play's apart from Hamilton ofc anyway since its pride month heres my fav lesbian/bisexual duo!
Magnificoâs laugh echoed throughout the room. His hunger filling, with every orb he crushed in his greedy hands. How much more wishes will he need to give him the full power he needed to defeat the wishing star once and for all. His eyes turned to the lone bottle in the corner of the room, covered with green and purple mist obscuring the trapped constellations. Thanks to the star's power he didnât need that many wishes to fill him up.Â
âMi-rey im back!â His wife's voice made his skin crawl of her sudden arrival from that poor village. Magnifico stared at the wish he was about to devour in his hand. The woman inside making graceful, large steps, circling around the empty space and waving her ribbons in an enhancing motion. He brought his finger tips close until he could feel the cold sphere as green ooze began to leak out. Just one more wish, just one more. He didnât care what his wife would do anymore. He was still hungry and he had to fill it. The dancer's face stared at him with horror as her wish was shattered into bits, leaving a bit of green shards behind.Â
âYes, mi reina!â Magnifico beamed at her. âHow was your journey?â. Amaya plucked a leaf from her hair that now returned back to its long braid that was up to her hip. Her ragged clothing returned to its luxurious white with her inner blue dress. She adjusted the crown on her head.Â
âSurprising, yet boring as expected.â she said. Looking at her king who displayed a wide expression on his eyes. Magnifico was interested in what she had to say wondering if she at least found the location of Asha and the prince of stars and spied on their whereabouts and schemes.Â
âTell me more Amaya, anything!, the prince of stars?â He trotted over to his wife, cupping her face in both his hands.
Amaya scoffed, lowering his arms down to give her space. She stared at the large window shielding them from the starry night, her lips rose up to her cheeks as she gave a slight chuckle.Â
âIâll tell you more, but firstâŠwhat have you been up tooâ Her back was still turned to the window. Magnifico was already getting annoyed at his wife's stalling and wanted her reports now. Did she know that he was crushing the wishes?.Â
âNothing much, I canât think of anything to separate my apprentice and the prince of starsâŠâ That was a lie. It wasnât even on his mind after his wife left. All his attention was focused on the power the wishes he possessed wielded. The people were just tools for his power, nothing more. âHow was your day? Please tell me you found them.âÂ
(From cut Wish scene w villain couple)
âOh, I certainly did,â She turned to face the king as he was met with her smile of satisfaction. âNot only did I see the prince of stars and that girl.â Amaya circled around him. Running her finger across his robe then his cape. âI also found this!â she grabbed the handful of ribbons that were clumped up inside her pocket and presented them in front of Magnificoâs eyes. He could only return her with a raised eyebrow.
âRibbons?â He scowled. Amaya went outside the gates of Rosas in disguise just to return with useless strips of ribbons. He rolled his eyes. âWhat's so special about ribbons?, seriously Amaya I need information about the prince of stars!, not some stupid ribbons you took from who knows where you got them!â
âOh, but these are not just ribbons mi-reyâŠâ She dropped the ribbons into Magnificoâs palm as she plucked one from the pile and straightened it. Then she showed what was written. I wish to adventure out to a world thatâs exciting and fulfilling. Magnifico handed the ribbons back to her as he snagged the one she showed him and inspected the writing in each angle.Â
âI donât get it, it's just some written wish.âÂ
âNot that, theirs moreâŠâ She held up her hand to him as a dark purple flame ignited above her palm.
The small fire danced as it began to form an image of a tree hanging by the cliff side. âYou see, those pesky village people write their wishes down and hang them up on this very tree.â The image began to zoom in into the tree that was now showing branches and an abundance of ribbons hanging from them. âThey hope for the stars to shine down and grant them,â The flames took shape and turned into a four pointed star. The fire in the shape of a star sparkled in Magnificoâs eyes, the hunger for the wishing star beginning to reignite inside him again. Amaya closed her palm, snuffing out the flame in her hand and snapping Magnifico out of his trance.
âI saw the prince of stars and Asha sitting on that tree, it seems the village you thought were scared of you had a way of defying our laws.âÂ
âWhat do you suggest? imprison them?âÂ
âMaybeâŠâ she shrugged her shoulders. It was a valid option but it felt too shallow of a punishment. The wishing star was a threat to Rosas; he could reignite the hope of the village or Rosas to expose their wishing system. âWhat have you got in mind, the village is just one thing!, any way of separating the two?âÂ
âI-,â He stormed into the wishing room. Amaya followed behind him wondering if he had something to show for himself. But her excitement dropped when he showed the wishing orbs floating mindlessly. Magnifico presented three wishes from the masses in front of her.Â
âYouâre suggesting what I think you're suggesting right?â She folded her arms across her chest. âLet me guess that expression tells me youâve already done it?â She stared at Magnificoâs beaming face.Â
âJust think about it Amaya!Oh I felt it, the pain, agony of these people as power was fueled through meâ He was now shoving the wishes close to her face. Amaya took one of the wishes. Slowly applying pressure with both of her hands as purple cracks started to form. The man inside the wish winced as his wish was shattered. A cold purple streak injected inside of Amayaâs body filling her up with a power she never could've imagined having.Â
âDo you feel it, the power within you increasing!,â
Amaya admired her new look, glowing body and hair. She pranced over to a mirror admiring her bright skin and face.Â
âOh darling, fetch me a guard pronto!â She commanded. Magnifico kissed her hand, running out the wishing room in a hurry. Amaya stared at the two remaining wishes, their terrified expressions after seeing what happened to the other wish filled her with a joy that could never be replaced.Â
âNow, what to do with youâŠâÂ
âââ ââ ââ â âââ
Magnifico returns with a slightly short knight in front of him. The man in armor hung his head low as if he was being prepared for some execution for a crime he didnât commit. Amaya was standing in front of the two, the black mirror behind her enclosing the wishes and their source of new found power inside.Â
âIve got one of the knights near our gate in the castle my queen,â Magnifico said. Amaya slightly tilted her head and gave a small smile. Her face turned serious as purple whips of magic coiled around the knight, as he was forcibly dragged to his knees bending down to the queen towering over him.Â
âActually, this is for you mi reyâŠâ She waltzed over to her husband, heels clicking on the cold stone floor as she pulled Magnifico up the small steps to the black mirror and made him face the helpless guard. She tiptoed on her heels and whispered in his ear âSo, I want to know about the new powers you gained from those wishesâ Magnifico could feel her breath travel in his ear, the excitement in her voice also made his heart race with the same feeling inside. He did want to know what he could do with crushed wishes inside his system.
The squirming guard tried to wriggle out of his restraints but was quickly stunned after Amaya shot a spell at him. Magnifico stared at his palm with green magic flowing through his bloodstream and a cold feeling surged through. He raised his hand towards the knightâs general direction. Green magic flowed through his chest, absorbing in Magnificoâs finger tips as the knight grunted in pain, coughing, hacking, choking in some invisible air strangling him.
Hoping his misery would end soon as his chest was burning heavily from Magnificoâs venomous magic. Finally what felt like hours to him the pain subsided only leaving soreness and a sense of emptiness within him. His eyes dropped down as if he hadnât slept for days and his body slouched. Magnifico stared at the green magic slowly forming into a blue orb in his hand. The wish played the knight in casual attire with a woman and small kid beside him. Magnifico pressed his fingers together, green venomous cracks began to form on the orb then shattering like the rest he crushed. The magic was now flowing through his chest and cascading through the rest of his veins.
The knight groaned, his chest was burning like fire and his body soon followed, the invisible fire burning his whole body alive then before he knew it everything went dark and his body fell face first. Amaya knelt down on the poor knightâs level as she removed his restraints with a click of her finger, serving their purpose. The queen stood up, staring down at the unconscious knight below her. She outstretched her hand, the purple staff obeyed her command, landing on her hand as she gripped the pole holding a dark purple crystal on top. Amaya turned the crystal around so that its point was facing the guardâs back. She plunged the crystal deep into his skin, dark purple streams traveled throughout his body and before Magnifico could hear him yell he was already nothing but dust on the floor.Â
âWhat did you do?â He inquired wondering what spell she used on their used up experiment.Â
âJust removed a worthless subject.â Amaya admired the purple jewel on her staff. Then gave her husband a chuckle.Â
Both of them exchanged a satisfied grin with one another as they returned to the wishing room to continue their schemes. Magnifico gathered a few wishes in his hands, giving the orbs a death glare. He began to sing
(I kinda rewrote this song to match my rewrite a little)
Every inch a wish gets nearer
in my blood, I feel the power
Like a vision its so clearerÂ
Iâ feel my flesh, strong every hour
Everyâ breath takes me deeper
It's not hard to lose control, no
I try nâ resist but I wonât let go
Amaya slowly waltzed over to him, stroking his shoulder then his face as she joined in.Â
I've had a taste there's nothing sweeter
On my lips I've kissed the reaper
Is it worth losing myself, no
We dance inside a growing room
There's no way out, there's no way through
I've grasped at all the poor old soulsÂ
It's so much stronger than you knowÂ
The two royals began to hormonize together. Entwining their fingers with one another as the wishes began to surround them, coiling up into a spiral as the atmosphere around them turned dark only highlighting their venomous eyes to the orbs. Amaya levitated the bottle containing the trapped stars up to her eye-level to stare at the helpless constellations beginning to dim out. Magnifico held a wish in his hand, green cracks began to slowly form as the man inside looked at him as if pleading for his life to be spared but to Magnifico they were just pawns to his evil scheme.Â
Temptation, I can't escape you, escape you
Desire, you're my forbidden fruit, forbidden fruit
The song slowly came to a close as the couple stood back to back, holding the power source in their hands.
lil thoughts
yeah another chapter uploaded Im honestly happy how this turned out really and I really love these guys. Anyway stay tuned till the next chapter
