this goes hard
if you're the type of person who cant eat a carrot as a snack, i don't want you giving me diet advice ever. we are clearly a different breed of human being with difficulties that can't even be compared.
weighted blanket's not enough i need to be compressed by a hydraulic press
make harry du bois more disabled! that is a man that survived polio, a heart attack, years if not decades of alcoholism and heavy drug use, a possible stroke, three gunshot wounds, and a fourth gunshot wound that he is treated for in a hotel room and then is back on his feet after only a few days of healing. that is a disabled man! give that man a cane, give that man glasses, give that man compression socks. i love reading fics where harry manages to heal and recover, and to me, that also means accepting his disabilities and allowing comfort in his life after years of neglecting his healthcare needs — getting the glasses he kind of already knows he needs, using a cane to help him get around with less pain… let’s let harry be more disabled. and kim too but that’s a conversation for another day.

id like to introduce some people to my good friend the Keep Reading button
rent-lowering gunshot time. i think a reflexive anti-AI stance can be reactionary because there are legitimately good use cases for the technology in scientific research, although it is often overhyped. i also think most people use AI in incredibly stupid ways
unfortunately it’s not that simple. generative AI can be used to design new drugs for hard-to-treat diseases. analytical AI can pose data privacy risks and worsen bias in policing (and analytical AI is only as reliable as the data it processes).
it’s better to describe a model by what it does rather than what it is.
the replacement of websites with apps sounds so backwards when you actually describe it. like hmm you have to download an entire program onto your device each time you want access to a portal, where it takes up storage indefinitely. somebody should invent an app where you can "browse" any portal just by typing in its address... 🥴
Since there is transphobia im showing you my very special fem oldyi agenda

"God never gives you more than you can handle" is survivorship bias. People who got more than they could handle are dead.
Oh, dear. I can't reblog that fast enough.

Fiddleheads are a delicious Spring delicacy when properly cleaned and cooked. They are a great wild foraged vegetable served with meats and seafood!

Actually it's super rude and problematic of you dismiss my vapid outsider critiques :/ People who have absolutely no idea what the hell they're even talking about deserve to be heard too :/
