louis honestly is so sweet and cute for describing lestat to daniel as this captivating, infinitely magnetic charming giant when lestat post akasha has been isolated crazy for 100 years kept company with statues and ghosts and is effectively a dazy little dog confused and hungry for love and was definitely trying sooo hard during the courtship period to be a good suitor and make louis like him. But louis is so in love with lestat he just often doesnt register the weight of lestats trying (ie the alt shot of lestat holding up the matching suits, biting his lip) because to him, there is no discernment between the goofy eager nervous attempts to please and the all inclusive seduction that is lestat

Just got my BPAL order today! I know you're supposed to wait 2-3 days for the scents to settle, but I got too excited and had to try Long Face (I was a bit of a punk/metal head in high school, so the prospect of what is basically a glorified mosh pit scent hit me a bit in the nostalgia) and it's soooo good. The leather tends to last the longest, and it actually kind of has a bit of a hot asphalt note that I think is the grease paint? I'd love to know what you think of your purchases once they come in!

First of all, the bottles! The labels are just so stunning to me.

Secondly, I love all of them!

Like you said, Long Face has a very strong leather scent, but the musk underneath further warms it up. It's like a lush library scent while reading under a cozy blanket on a rainy day.

Black Licorice smells like, well, licorice, and Butterscotch Bitch smells like butterscotch. The middle notes really ground them and add a warm incense vibe. They're a delightful surprise, even though they do smell like their namesakes.

I think Louis is my favorite. It's like jasmine, musk, sandalwood, vanilla, and palo santo all rolled into one. It just smells expensive, and Louis would appreciate that! 😁♥️

Good to know! I was thinking of getting butterscotch bitch, since the smoke, saffron and pink peppercorn notes sounded really interesting, but if it's really butterscotch heavy, I think I may just stick with Louis, Armand, and Vampire DJ of Some Renown (i'm a sucker for ozone scents), also btw..... apparently folks who got the email announcement for the BPAL× TVL collab found out that BPAL will be adding updates to the collection......so that's exciting!!!! Maybe there will be an official Lestat scent

loustat has truly (to me) never been more couple than louis calling lestat and asking him to look at regina and tell him if she really looks like claudia.

like they are NOT on good terms this season, but this is a moment of, "i am showing this painful, infected wound to you because you have a matching one, and you are the only one who can do this for me." like this is a big, extremely vulnerable ask from louis.

and even lestat's quiet "yes. okay." in this request even though things are bad, because this is a request of one parent to another and thus sidesteps the conflict of, "we are supposed to be something to each other, but you didn't even call when i was shot." like louis is louis and the great love of his life, but louis is also the person he raised a child with, and that bond still stands strong enough to call a favor in on.

and louis's tone when lestat brings up claudia's eyes and louis jumps in with, "i know, right? there's no spark." and there is SO MUCH pain in it but also such a moment of, "she was our child and you know her like i did. you know her eyes. talk to me about her because it's the only way she can still exist, and you are the only one she can exist for me with. she was ours."

like there is SO MUCH piled on their relationship, but the way the core of it is, "we are parents without our child, and the only thing stronger than love between us is grief."
