The purpose of Wizard Garb is a sort of combined aposematism and Müllerian mimicry with respect to other magical critters. Spell selection varies wildly, so not every wizard is an immediate threat, but how keen would you be to snack on something when there's a one in twenty chance it knows how to shoot lightning out of its ass?

Swearing an Iron Vow
I’ve never tried playing a solo TTRPG before. Like a lot of people in the scene I’m a fan of Me, Myself, & Die!, but what I really want is a group experience. It can be tough to get a group together though, especially for any given niche game and setting. Watching season 2 put Ironsworn on my map. It seemed so elegant I had to get it and take a look. I really liked how it worked—combining Powered by the Apocalypse mechanics with a new dice system and an OSR sensibility—but it’s sat on my shelf for years now. The only other stab I’ve made at solo play was a half-finished Thousand Year Old Vampire story.

Goddamn, combat can be draining in Ironsworn. Learning my lesson to make fights easier and do single roll resolution more. If Snikna can't be tricky or stealthy, getting a strong hit is really hard. Or maybe it isn't smart to try and "kill" a ghost...

My toxic fandom take is that I think that it's awful how much we can talk to creators and get answers from them word of god style. We should be out here in a godless place rooting for scraps of lore in the media like truffle pigs out in the fields
