i just want you to really think about what you said in that rant for a minute, here's a summary: i really liked marble hornets despite the mysterious cliffhanger it was left on, because that's what kept the horror element alive. i did not feel satisfied with rosswood because they ended with a mysterious cliffhanger than left me with more questions than answers.
the "more questions than answers" is the entire premise of marble hornets. you aren't supposed to get answers. everything is shrouded in mystery. that's why it's scary: you don't understand it. it's unfamiliar, and unfamiliar can be threatening. your rant makes no sense.
I quite literally said it was nonsense so yeah it's not supposed to make sense.. it's just random stuff on my mind because thats just how I rant about stuff

So, I don't really post here but since Rosswood is done I might as well go on a little rant about it after I had time to process it. This is just random nonsense about what I think about Rosswood. This will be a bit lengthy and not in order
Tbh I'm kind of disappointed in it. Me, and many others were extremely excited for this mini series. But there's only five parts, I don't know if Troy or Joseph had mentioned it being that short so please let me know.
Since it was so short and the longest part being about 22 minutes long there was a lot going on in such little time. Don't get me wrong Rosswood was really good and I loved the acting. As well as the Brian mentions and possible Tim mention.
But I do wish it was longer. Maybe at least 10 parts. I'm aware it's a mini series so it's gonna be short. But Marble Hornets was 100+ videos(if you include ToTheArk) so you'd assume it'd have more than 5 parts, at least I did.
The ending left me and many people with so many unanswered questions. Was the boy mentioned in the beginning really Tim? Does Jodie have any relation with Jessica due to the similar last names? What was that white figure? And what happened to Alex?
Of course Marble Hornets didn't have a clear ending other than Tim driving away, leaving Rosswood behind. The ending was just.. idk it felt rushed in a way.
Troy getting a call from Riley and walking into the dark was interesting and I do wish we saw what happened. A common theory people have(me included) was that they were in the Ark. To me it makes sense. The Operator was a lot more active, it was always dark, etc.
Something I wish they did was involve Jodie more. She seemed like she's be an interesting character similar how Jessica was, having a smaller part but still a bit enough to leave some kind of impact in the end. I also would've loved to see what Riley looks like or even sounds like.
I'm fully aware Rosswood isn't connected to Marble Hornets other than the Operator. Of course there are parallels. Like the glitching, coughing, and other symptoms of the sickness. I do believe they didn't last as long because they were in the Ark. Unlike in Marble Hornets where they last months/years before dying.
Going back to the ending, it felt so unfinished in a way I can't describe it. Maybe I had too high expectations? Who knows. The last episode definitely messed with me since how much has happened. It just left me with more questions than answers. I do wish they went into more depth with the Operator. But it makes sense that they didn't. The Operator is this unknown entity and Rosswood just happens to be it's hunting grounds. It'd be hard to explain the lore behind it.
Anyways, I guess that's it for my nonsense ranting. Other than that I did like it. I loved seeing Troy and Joseph doing something like this again and looking forward to what they have planned in the future! I might post more rants? Maybe 🤷
