This is for any of my followers who are a Christian like me! I haven’t found any Christian reader stories, so I’ve decided to make some for anyone else who has this struggle. This is also for the shoujo girlies, id like to give this a cute vibe. I also love adding songs into stories bc they fit it so well🫶🏾
Warnings: Christian struggles, maybe Nanami is a bit OOC, fluff.
I feel true peace more often than usual, it feels amazing. But, im quite lonely. Ive prayed often for additional help, a best friend, a lover, an accomplice. Anything that would help me grow closer to God, i know i can’t do this on my own. Being a Jujutsu sorcerer and all theres things i can and cannot do, killing evil cursing is pure bliss for me. I want to rid the evil from causing harm to humanity, i want to help society.
But if there is a human who has taken form as a curse, i cannot kill them. They are a living breathing human being who has a life, thats were i draw the line, id let the curse kill me than kill it. Ive managed to slip out of multiple situations regarding human curses, but i cant keep doing this for long.
I show up to my job, i don’t talk often but i have great co-workers and i love them all so much, they have helped me in horrible situations. But one I’ve never been able to speak to much is Nanami Kento, i know He’s very reserved as-well, but thats what i think i like about him. Ive wanted to be friends with him for so long, I’ve always prayed about him. Nothing specific but I’ve always talked to God about how interesting he is. Ive just always had my eyes on him.
Would this be a crush? Or a friend-crush? A friend-crush is a-lot more reasonable. In order to move this situation further, i would have to speak to one of his friends that know more about him than i do. Gojo Satoru.
“Oh hi Y/N! Well it’s not very often your one to start a conversation, whats up?”
“I would like to ask you about him, Nanami? Please don’t let him know about this conversation.”
“Ahh Nanami? You like him?” He says with a goofy smirk, (kinda like the scene where he asked utahime is she was crying)
“No no! I mean i think hes interesting, i would always see him and i just took note of his existence. I wanna be friends with him.”
“You came to me instead? Ha he ignores me most of the time but it’s so funny to annoy him. Maybe get him something he likes.”
“Well he really likes bread, any kind. He’s prettty organized, maybe he’d appreciate some new office applicanes.”
“Thanks so much Gojo! I think that would be a good gift for a new friendship!”
“You’re welcome Y/N! Hey, why don’t you text me and ill set up a super awesome plan.”
“Totally!” Today wasn’t very busy so you took the time to search online for possible things you could buy, but Gojo did say he liked bread so i think it would be better to go to the bakery after work. You were pretty hungry anyway.
After work you said your goodbyes and headed towards the bakery quickly, you haven’t been there in so long you forgot how amazing it smelt in there, you were practically drooling! You looked at all the options and landed on this delicious looking chocolate marble banana bread.
You grab the warm loaf of bread wrapped in a clear plastic, it looked too good, i mean Nanami wouldn’t mind if you ate it-OH MY GOSH??? You look up and see Nanami at the counter chatting with the cashier, does he come here often??? You see him order his sub and right when we was about to turn around you quickly hid behind one of the shelves.
I mean its not like you like him but this was really embarrassing since you were planning to speak to him, God could be giving you this opportunity to socialize, you have never warmed up to anyone at your job and it made it hard for you, you have to take this chance. Nanami leaves the store and you rush to the counter and quickly buy the bread and stuff it inside a bag that doesn’t show whats in it.
You exit the store and see Nanami walking down the sidewalk, just take the shot…take the shot….just do it DO IT DO IT-
“Nanami!” You yell down the sidewalk, he turns his head to see you, and then fully turns his body to face you.
“I don’t have time.” He turns, signaling He’s going to walk off.
“Wua-wait! I have to talk to you!” You rush down to him and show him the bag in your hands.
“This, this is for you. Ive been meaning to share this with you.”
You take out the banana bread to show Nanami, his eyes widens slightly.
“Gojo told me you like this kind of stuff, i can see why. It looks really good so i bought it for you as a gift, i want to be friends!”
“Thats abnormal. I’ve never heard you speak before, but thank you.”
You smile, putting the bread back in the bag then handing it to him.
“Follow me.” Nanami says in a calming tome
Woah?? Is this safe…? Was this the right decision or not…you were too stunned to speak. You follow him back to his home, it was beautiful…There were cherry blossom trees surrounding his home, it looks like it’s right out of a spring Japanese movie. Inside it was modern, and warm. It felt nothing like a place Nanami would ever want to live in. But then the big surprise comes and attacks you…
A kitty comes rushing to the door to greet Nanami, it climbs up on Nanami to his chest, its claws, desperately digging for pets. It was an adorable sight!! 2 other cats come running towards Nanami and they prod at his feet, meowing for attention. He blushes before saying,
“No one has seen me like this before, we wont discuss about this at work…”
You laugh , “Your secret is safe with me!”
Nanami walks towards his living room and you sat down on the couch, there was an amazing view!! There was a lake not too far from his house that you could see through the window. Cherry blossoms covered the top of the lake, with little baby ducks swimming across. His neighborhood was like a beautiful wonderland.
He takes a seat, he places his sub and the bread you got on the table.
“Im assuming you wanted to talk about more, im not usually this open to conversations. But this is different since you have never spoken to anyone before at work. I can tell you live a silent life.”
He takes out the bread and cuts in into slices, he continues
“This is my favorite type of bread, i guess you were blessed getting it right the first time.”
You have a beaming smile but your face nearly bursts into flames. “Well i just picked whatever i thought looked really good haha..”
He hands you a slice, you were so hungry. You shut your eyes silently praying before using a small fork the dig into the thick slice of marble banana bread. ‘This was the treat i needed, THANK YOU GODDD’ you thought while slightly tearing up, happy tears, not too much for Nanami to see of course. This was pure bliss!!
“What i was going to talk to you about, this may sound a bit creepy but I’ve always noticed you from time to time. I wanted to become friends with you because i knew i could talk to someone about my day to day life with ease.”
Nanami listens intently, with great eye contact as-well…oh gosh…i mean at least this will help better your social skills.
“Even though i don’t know a thing about you, you’re really cool. I mean ive even prayed from time to time, i think we can get along very well! But i was also really scared because you did look very stern..”
Nanami nods, “Well, i can relate. I’ll admit, everyone needs an acquaintance, including me. He gives a very small hinted smile, your heart explodes. This is going to go great!
One of his cats climbs up on the table and eats part of your banana bread.
“Hey….HEY😡!! THATS NOT GOOD FOR YOU!!”
Nanami pulls the cat away and lifts it up to face him, he baby talks the cat which is a little odd for him. “You know thats not good for you…my apologies Y/N, him specifically out of my 3 cats eats almost everything. Mostly the banana bread which isn’t too good for him. But i catch him most of the time.”
“Well…he seems like a silly guy! Can i hold him?”
He gently passes you the cat and you pet the silly little goober, this was so much fun hanging out with Nanami. What was Gojo talking about? Nanami was so calm and gentle, he didn’t seem cold at all. You shut your eyes think back for a few seconds…this is exactly what you prayed for! You needed a new friend, someone who would help you stay on track.
You have a great feeling about Nanami, you can feel a beautiful friendship beginning to blossom.
