gotta love how the discourse around harmful individuals such as PT and isff has gone from "she didn't do/say any of this!!! you're lying you have no proof!" to "okay she did say this but you're taking it out of context!! you're purposefully misinterpreting her words!!" to "okay yeah she DID say it and she DID mean it like that but you should just block her and avoid talking about her because Harassment and Callout Culture is bad!!!".

like. Okay! I agree. Harassment is bad. Even towards harmful individuals. I cannot stress enough that I do not want to see either of these women harmed or threatened*. Ideally I would like them to receive help irl because they clearly need it, and prevention/treatment is always more beneficial than punishment, especially when it comes to already-marginalised individuals. BUT. As they are right now, they are legitimately causing harm to very real people. Other real trans women first and foremost, and especially twoc. Plaidos specifically is constantly going after trans people of colour and attacking them for calling her out on her racism, but if I'm honest I don't think Plaidos belongs in the same category as isff and PT since at the very least she is not advocating for making pedophilia legal (that I know of, at least). Warning people about them (plural) is not a "callout" and it's not "harassment", it's the consequences of their own actions. Remember that PT literally sexually harassed an underage trans woman and drove her off the internet when she finally found the courage to come out about the experience. I'm sorry but if you think people shouldn't know that, that YOUNG TRANS WOMEN that may associate with PT shouldn't know that, then you're a fucking naive idiot at best, and a dangerous individual at worst.

It's not a "callout culture post" when the person that is being "called out" can do, and has done, actual real material harm to other real human beings. Especially other marginalised human beings less privileged than them. Because yes, being a trans woman is an identity of marginalisation, but if you're a binary white trans woman living in the west, you're nowhere NEAR the bottom of the barrel.

That is all I guess. Please consider the vulnerable marginalised idividuals you're harming when you're platforming, defending, or at the very least minimising the actions of individuals like isff and PT.

*losing your tumblr blog because you told other marginalised people to kill themselves or because you constantly post about how pedophilia should be legal, is not harm nor a threat. And it's definitely not lynching or social murder- you're just racist.

I mean all we really have to do is look back a couple of months ago, when a trans woman was a voice actor for a man on Knights of Guinevere.

No one got mad at her, but a lot of people were infantilising and supporting her and hating on the creators. (Despite the fact that its actually good for trans voice actors to have roles, and mixed gender casting is actually a good thing).

The community has a tendency to police trans men as traitors quite significantly. They are held to a very high standard while having to navigate a transphobic society. Anything they do for their own safety and wellbeing, whether it be moving from transphobic regions, stealthing, closeting, girlmoding, temporarily detransitioning, avoiding diy hrt, advocating for protection under womens' rights groups. Everything has to serve 'the community' first.

Also it turned out that the voice actor from KoG had ASKED to voice that character. And she has repeatedly stated that she doesn't mind voicing male characters too because it gives her creative freedom and she likes being able to voice characters of any gender. Like. She literally said that. And people STILL kept saying she must be held at gunpoint to be saying this as if Dana Terrace is some fuckin megacorp who can force VAs to say what she wants, and not just an indie artist that had to fight against giants like fuckin Disney. These people completely ignored the trans woman's OWN WORDS to dismiss and infantilise her, not realising how transmisogynistic THAT was.
