plot idea:  i was just trying to have a one night stand with a stranger at the club/bar so i lied about my name and entire life when we met. but after we hooked up i kept thinking about you, so we ended up hooking up again another night and i kept lying. and it keeps happening and now i’m in too deep to tell you the truth so i’m just living this fake life whenever i see you but i really like you

“the holiday” movie (2006) inspired plots.

amanda & graham inspired.     muse a has just had a bad break-up with their recent partner after they cheated, and so they decide to go on vacation to get away from all the reminders of them. they swap houses with a stranger online and travel to another country to live for the holidays. just as muse a start to realise how lonely they feel in this foreign country, the brother of their house-swap, muse b, drunkenly knocks on their door. they end up having sex that evening after a spontaneous kiss and some flirtation. the following days they have a romantic weekend with sex, sightseeing and a proper date. it turns out that muse b hid the fact that they’re a parent, afraid of the disappointed muse a would bring to his family once they had to travel back home and leave them possibly forever.

iris & miles inspired.     muse a has just found out that their colleague and the person they’ve been madly in unrequited love with for three years is engaged to another person. they reach a low point after a work party because they think that there is nothing left in life for them now, but come to their senses when an opportunity to take a vacation and escape all of it arises. they swap houses with a stranger and travel to another country. at first they don’t know anyone, but they run into muse b who is a funny and charming filmscore composer. they become good friends and often have dinner together while they talk about hollywood and a mutual friend of a former hollywood screenwriter. when muse b’s partner cheats on them, muse a helps muse b get through the hardship and that’s when muse b realises that there are more than just friendly feelings between the two of them. muse a also miraculously gets over their longtime unrequited love after finding self worth and feeling too good for someone who doesn’t want them. another thing is their new feelings for muse b. muse b has to decide whether to take back their ex or take the chance with muse a before they travel back home.

last night’s dream, plot.

muse a is from a large noble family that all live at the same massive estate. the family is well respected and well liked by society, but under the surface there are a lot of drama and ploys between the family members. muse b is also a respected person but more of a commoner, who is offered to stay at muse a's family estate for the duration of their work/studies/vacation etc. being around the same age muse a and b end up becoming friends, having daily discussion on walks around the estate, eating brunch together in the garden terrace, lying on the roof in the sun and driving to quaint landmarks near the estate grounds for sightseeing. muse b quickly becomes an indispensable asset to the family, because they always seem to end up smack dab in the middle situations where their help is needed by a family member or more.

+ scenario:   muse b has joined muse a and their family on their yacht, but after a few hours an accident occurs and the yacht begins to sink in the harbor. everyone is rushing to help the kids of the family to safety and then everyone else who need help. once they're all out muse a can't find muse b anywhere and neither can the family. they look for them in panic, only to think that it's too late and muse b is gone in the wreckage. but then, a moment later muse a finds muse b who is already on the docks, allegedly saved by some fishermen. muse a gets angry and start an argument, then ditch muse b and leave with the rest of the family. 

following the accident there’s tension and distrust from muse a and their family towards muse b, though some family members try to defend them. from here on the plot can develop to however you like, i didn’t get further than this.

ok so imagine if muse a was the wealthy ceo of a large company and muse b was their personal assistant and they hate each other and argue all the time – muse b stays because it pays well, muse a doesn’t fire them because muse b is insanely competent at their job

muse a has recently been dumped/divorced and is in kind of a slump about it. muse b is totally unsympathetic and thinks muse a had it coming.

but then muse a gets invited to an event where it’d be very embarrassing if they went alone so they ask muse b to be their date

“come with me to this event” “no” “please i can’t go by myself” “sucks to be you” “i’ll buy you something to wear” “no” “it’ll be just like a vacation” “no” “five-star hotel” “no” “…i’ll give you a thousand bucks” “when’s the event?”

so they go but to their surprise they actually have a really nice time together and spend the whole night hanging out and dragging muse a’s ex (who may or may not be in attendance)

and maybe something romantic blossoms from it or it could just be a brotp thing but at the end of the night muse a gives muse b their check and muse b just smiles and rips it up and plz it could be really cute
