There will be no Mr. Show reunion. There will be a new sketch-comedy show featuring the writing and performing of the great and special Bob and David. And please use those terms because it’s like King of Pop — the Great and Special Bob and David. It will not be called Mr. Show, it will not have the set, the music, the logo or the construction. There will be a change in pacing and probably a more integrated bunch of ideas. And yet we are still the same people. Better Call Saul is not Breaking Bad, but it’s written by the same writers and you can see connections, right? It hopefully will be quite the same as far as the relationship between the two shows.

Jason Isbell on recording his new album
“Every afternoon for the past three weeks, Jason Isbell has been showing up to the Sound Emporium around 1 p.m. The routine is usually the same: He'll park in the Nashville building's back lot, walk past the bowls of complimentary Cheez-Its and biscuits and greet his bandmates inside Studio A. Then, once everyone's ready to work, he'll sit down on the couch and debut a new song. Producer Dave Cobb, back in the saddle after overseeing 2013's Southeastern, will suggest a chord change or two, the others will offer some arrangement ideas and 30 minutes later, the entire band will be inside the tracking room, nailing down a live take of a tune just heard for the first time.”

Hear a song from Rhett Miller’s new album, The Traveler.
The album has a release of May 12, and “this time, he got an assist from Portland's Black Prairie, a bluegrass six-piece that shares four members with the Decemberists.”
