Phil thought moving to SMP City would be a chance to start over.

After leaving Hardcour City under the shadow of a career-ending scandal, the widowed nurse is determined to rebuild his life one exhausting hospital shift at a time. With chronic leg pain, a lonely house full of unpacked boxes, and memories he can't escape, he expects nothing more than work, sleep, and survival.

Then he wanders into High Pixel Pizza.

The restaurant is immaculate. The food is incredible. The prices are suspiciously affordable. And despite the glowing OPEN sign, no one ever seems willing to step inside.

Its surly server Sam seems to wants him gone, a foul-mouthed child insists on interrogating him over stolen slices of his dinner, and the staff react as though having a customer is stranger than having none at all. Yet the more Phil returns, the more he finds himself drawn to the odd little pizzeria and the family that runs it.

As bodies begin appearing near the docks and whispers spread through the city, Phil remains blissfully unaware that the people serving him dinner are hiding secrets far darker than rude customer service. While everyone else sees danger, Phil sees only tired people who deserve kindness.

Phil used his free leg to kick Techno on the nose. A surprise yelp left wolf, the vampire yanking his leg free to pause long enough to make sure he hadn’t kicked Techno’s nose too hard.The wolf shaking his head and rubbing a paw on his nose. Techno grumbled. The had hurt. And a cringe move going for the nose on Phil’s part. With a warning growl Techno looked around and found a large rock just the size of Phil’s head and picked it up with his mouth before charging the vampire again. Barreling himself into Phil, the two of them wrestling on the ground. “Oi!” Phil said, not even winded, dead lungs not needing air like Techno’s did. He paused in confusion. “What’s with the rock?” He asked. Techno finally had the Vampire pinned beneath him and in answer dropped the rock on Phil’s face.
