Does anybody else think “man, I’d do so many things if I felt better” but once you feel better you don’t do anything cuz you just want to chill and enjoy not feeling bad?
Y e a h
I often work with children and it makes me kind of sad when I’m at work and I start talking to a small child and their parent says something like, “oh, she’s sixteen months, she can’t understand you.”
Like, 1. I know what a toddler is and 2. not with that attitude she won’t.
There are a lot of great additions to this post, but I think this also may be the time for me to share one of my favorite stories about myself.
Growing up, I spent most days with my grandmother while my parents were at work. My grandmother was a spry old Estonian woman from Saaremaa who had herself grown up on a farm, but her favorite hobbies in her retirement were reading, being a card shark, and gardening. She had a lovely backyard with a lot of flowers: both those native to Maryland and some that reminded her of her homeland. She spent a lot of time out in the garden, and my very earliest memories are of sitting in the grass watching her putter around in the dirt on her hands and knees.
So one weekend afternoon when I’m perhaps barely a year old, I’m at my parents’ house on their day off, just sort of noodling around on the grass behind our townhouse. My mom thinks she hears me babbling to myself and so she quietly sneaks up behind me, hoping to maybe catch some of my first words.
As she gets closer, she notices that I’m pulling up clumps of grass in my fat little baby hands while I mutter something. Just fistful after fistful of grass and tossing it in every direction. She gets up right behind me and finally she can make out what it is I’m saying as I rip up the lawn:
“God damn weeds. God damn weeds! God damn weeds.”
did humans invent math or did we discover it
does math even exist
i already regret making this post bc smart people keep messaging me trying to explain math and it’s making me nauseous

that double take though LMAO
“it would be impossible for this disabled character to be played by a disabled actor because of the things this character can do in this movie” well then maybe…… you fucked up in the writing of this disabled character……
also cgi exists. if you need your disabled character to walk for a couple of scenes use a body double and green screen. this can also be used for trans characters prior to transition.
if it’s possible to make chris evans look 5ft nothing and skinnier than a maypole then it’s possible to cast disabled actors for disabled characters
The Spy Kids films had disabled actor Ricardo Montalbán play the kids’ disabled grandpa, and in the third movie he was CGI’d into an Iron-Man style bodysuit that made him look like he was able to walk and take part in a high-speed futuristic car race and other action sequences. And this was in 2003. If a goofy kids’ franchise can do it using embarassingly bad early 2000s CGI, you have literally no excuse.
I love it when people tell me about me because I have no idea who I am
I love when people say “i really like that thing you do, you know when you (insert thing)” and you had no idea that is something you do. I also love it when people know more about you than you do. I get really excited.
OP added a photo of the famous Audrey!

‘There are girls with dicks, guys with vaginas, and transphobes without teeth’
If a man says he’s going to hurt himself unless you do what he says, let him. You aren’t responsible for his actions. You are not guilty for what he does to himself, you don’t owe him, you are not his thing to control, you don’t exist to serve him, you are allowed to go on living your life.
well, you could give him the suicide hotline and go.
Also you could baker act him. If he says hes gonna kill himself if you break up with him. Break up with him and call 911 saying you suspect this person at this address is going to kill themselves. Like chances are they are lying and trying to manipulate you but if you are scared and think you might feel guilty, you can do that.
Don’t stay woth anyone that pulls that shit. Drop em.
Dropping this here because abuse isn’t limited to straight people.
goes for anyone of any gender
Drop friends like this too.

my therapist:
This is one of the best interactions I’ve ever had.
Two school age kids: “Oh look at the big white puppy!”
Their mother: “Come here, let me explain something to you. That dog is a Service Dog. Whenever you see a dog in a store like this you can’t distract it cause it’s working.”
Two kids: “What do you mean he’s working?”
Mom: “He helps that girl. You know how at school your teacher tells you to be quiet so you don’t get distracted doing your work? It’s the same thing with that dog. You can’t distract him.”
Two kids: “What does he help her with?”
Mom: “That’s her business. Your business is to not distract him so he can work.”
If children can understand so can you.
Jeez, this NEEDS to be boosted. I have a friend who’s training a service dog ( his name is Noble and he is beautiful ), but the problem is that while out in public people sometimes have NO respect for her or the dog, they touch him, try to get his attention and even try to feed him ( HUGE no no for a pupper in training ). There’s even times when she herself gets treated poorly by people for telling then they can’t pet her dog, so please try to spread this around so that people can understand why it’s important to respect service dogs and their handlers
That’s her business.
Your business is to not distract him so he can work.
y’all need therapy. not girlfriends
Or they need a girlfriend that doesn’t mind listening and trying to help them work through their shit and defeat their fucking demons without asking them to pour out their soul to a stranger who is only listening because it’s their job. That’s the kind of shit you do for the people you love.
your partner is not your therapist. listening to your partner is one thing, but it is not their responsibility to help you work through your shit. that is on you.
one more time.
your partner is not your therapist.
