listen i may take 4 weeks to write a 3k word chapter, and i may take 45 minutes to decide whether i should use “laugh” or “chuckle”, but at least i don’t use ai and whatever you’re getting is pure chaos from a human brain
"i asked chatgpt–" well i asked the one ring and it told me ash nazg durbatulûk ash nazg gimbatul ash nazg thrakatulûk agh burzum-ishi krimpatul
the fact that we need 8 hours of sleep is ridiculous we should only need 4 and the other 4 should be used to be cozy in your bed and rub your legs together like a cricket and listen to music and think about your little scenarios
"What that mouth do?" Go nonverbal.

Here’s the link to the full piece on substack if anyone is interested (it is behind a paywall)! Obviously, this post focuses on parents/family vloggers, but there’s also some interesting commentary about how influencers will sell their personal problems to their viewers.
[IDs: Three screenshots of an opinion piece/article titled “Context: This Person Literally Set Up a Phone to Film This” with the tagline, “All online video content needs to be viewed with important context: the creator wanted you to see this.” The piece is written by ‘Cartoons Hate Her’ and posted April 3, 2025. The article reads:
I remember seeing a video a while ago on Facebook Reels, where a mother effectively consoled her screaming toddler by helping him “emotionally regulate” with deep breathing exercises (it turns out he just wanted water, so I’m less impressed with her conflict resolution techniques. Come back to me when the request is for an antique porcelain egg that they will definitely break- that was an actual tantrum I diffused last night.)
Anyway, it occurred to me halfway through the video that I was missing some context—this woman wasn’t just a good mom who successfully gave her toddler water to end a tantrum. She was a mom who filmed her toddler’s meltdown, while he was wearing nothing but a pull-up, and posted it online to show everyone how good of a mom she was. Nothing in the video itself was reprehensible—if I were a secret bystander in that room, I’d have thought she was a good mom, showing commendable patience with a screaming kid. But I wasn’t seeing this scene by accident. She literally filmed it and posted it to show everyone how great of a mother she was, while she humiliated her toddler and filmed him in a vulnerable state. The inclusion of the iPhone camera—once recognized—changes the entire context of the video.
A viral video where a parent records their “creative” punishment for their teenager skipping class? Parent is even worse then [sic] you think, because they filmed it. A viral video where a woman confronts her friend about refusing to wear the bridesmaid dress it wasn’t the style she requested? She’s a pain in the ass, and weird enough to put something like that online. A viral video where a woman in the throes of postpartum depression screams that she hates her baby? She needs help and whoever filmed it is a terrible person. We are not invisible witnesses to other people’s lives—we are intended audiences to content creators. Their careers (or even just hobbies) as content creators have to be taken into account. /end IDs]
Love the argument "oh but if you transition you'll have to deal with being trans your whole life" because first of all there is nothing bad about being trans and second I'm still gonna be trans even if I don't medically transition I'll just be trans and miserable instead of trans and happy
Every time I hear someone say something like this I remember that one exerpt from that one book in which the author considers Gomez Addams as a trans man specifically because he has the energy of a guy who wakes up every day absolutely over the moon to discover that he gets to be a man with a family and a moustache and a wife who's taller than god yet again, and it becomes painfully apparent that people who say these things don't understand transness at all.
EDIT: I found it! Here it is!
An excerpt from the essay “Powerful T4T Energy in Steve Martin’s The Jerk” by Daniel M. Lavery, from his book Something That May Shock and Discredit You.
Absolutely amazing addition I love this and personally I can't wait to be proudly trans for the rest of my life!
honest to god i think tyler galpin doesn't need a redemption arc. my son had a douchebag as a dad, his mom is (presumed) dead, he was groomed by the woman whom ALSO tortured him, and i KNOW deep in my heart he was overworked and underpaid at weathervane. He deserves to have a crash out and murder people as a treat. as a diva should.
he deserves a little theatrics, a little pizzazz if you will.
