I need to say it because.
"How I attended an All Guy's Mixer" is an underrated anime.
It has slice of life, rom com vibes all the way but is so LGBT coded, I wanna cry in delight.
It's supposed to feature non traditional straight relationships. But we have all the best tropes . Golden retriever boyfriend and black cat girlfriend. Suave woman, even more charismatic in her man outfit, trying to woo a confused dude.
And we notice how the way they put some reverse trope, making the men the love interests and the women as the one who are empowering the dynamic is great. The fact that Suo and her friends are more often that not crossdressing, barely even having an excuse for it when they're not at work is sweet.
Having one of the dudes questionning his sexuality because the girl he's crushing on is equally cute when looking like a man is wholesome.
Having a woman being called "the Prince" so her crush feels like a delicate girl is fun and amazing.
And let's not forget the cute one who is either to naive or don't care at all having his crush being a doujinshi author and helping her out is melting my heart.
So yeah, it's queer coded, trans coded and the enby in me is screaming out of joy when I'm watching this anime, lmao
