Horses will do that too - go in a completely different direction than what you thought. It’s one of the reasons they’re feared.
Opt-out "features" keep coming out on everything. I have to comb through settings on every new app/device to reclaim as much privacy and control as they will allow me to. Everything keeps becoming more "user friendly" at the expense of user control. Its becoming near impossible to buy basic electronics that don't come with a useless computer attached that will inevitability fail and brick your appliance.
It's also spreading places it shouldn't be. new Cars that have subscription services for basic use. Kitchen appliances that need to be hooked up via Bluetooth to work... And NONE of it can be repaired. Nobody is allowed to fix their own electronics. You have to send it back to the manufacturer, just so you can get a "refurbished" device. We are living in a time of Planned Obsolescence and we are really fucking tired of it.

I don’t need to know that you used to hate trans people. you don’t need to make that my problem please

also STOP using the notes to tell people that therapy is the solution to unlearning bigotry. my disabled ass has heard more ableism from therapists than you would believe. fun fact: therapists also live in society and are also chugging along internalising bigoted bullshit like everyone else. unlike many others, they also have the power to preach that bullshit like it’s gospel to vulnerable people who really don’t need to hear it. therapy is not the answer. lol.
