Today, the Wake Until 3008 ask blog turns two months old!
I thank everyone who's been here, either once or stayed, for giving this AU a chance. Semi will probably be around for a while more, so I hope everyone can still enjoy the show.
What's next? What do you want to see? What questions are still to be answered? Cupcakes for all of you as you ask and we find out.
Long rambling below.
Two months. It's been two months. I can't believe it. I swear two months ago I was terrified of even making the side blog. Asking my friend if I should even show it and not just make a post in my main. But look! I made it. A structured AU. Asks. Drawings. Heck, ships! I'm. Happy this is an AU you love.
Fun fact! This almost was an ask blog for my DDLC AU! But I realized, what can you really ask huh? I thought, there's a whole clone civilization, there's so much to be told that could be a (fanmade) extension of eddsworld. And hey. Glad I had people liking it and their characters.
I feel like there's a lot I can still tell. So much questions I can answer slowly as Semi grows to live in the sewers. I hope I can still give you so much more reasons for the sewers to be loved.
This was a me project. I wondered, what if Bing was right, and all those clones really are down below? What would they mutate to? After all, Eddsworld has a nuclear waste problem! What would they think. What would they do if they have memories of a life before being stuck down there. Would they be okay? Semi certainly isn't. What would they forget after sleeping so long. I wondered, has someone done that before? I could. I can try make the most of my version of that story.
Real Matt kind of ruined my timeline. To be honest. But I think it gave Semi a lesson and the ask I'm glad. Having a Zombie and definitely not future Edd was fun. It gives them no sense of when they are. They have to learn. And I think not doing bad in their characters.
And to see that this idea made people love it was... Amazing. I still love the asks I get as if they were the first one. Really. It still excites me to think that heck, I have fanart of my boys!... They are loved. As much as I love making their life seen. For me it's like we are a fan group and we are all talking as friends, really. Feels nice to think of it like that.
You guys can call me out when you want, BTW. If it's too OC-fied, too Flander-ized, or maybe it just doesn't make sense for their universe. It's okay. Sometimes I'll make mistakes. And I think that's fun.
Am I rambling too much for a 2 month blog?? Maybe. But I'm grateful that I have it. That's it's loved. And that it can still grow so much.
So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????
I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.
Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?
Saw a sharp increase in my follower count after posting this. The legitimacy of it is driving me nuts so I also feel the need to say that you can follow anyone on here regardless of whether you’ve interacted with them or not. People like the above mentioned blog are exceptions. Perhaps they themselves think they aren’t and therefore will act like they aren’t, but they are, trust me.
Just follow anyone you wanna follow. The worst thing that can happen is maybe getting soft-blocked by the other person, but if they do soft-block you, then they were never that worth following in the first place.
Finally able to draw Tord after trying for like 10 years. Next ill draw Tom and then ill draw them making out and then draw the future versions of them and then draw Tord as a zombie and Tom as a monster and then ill draw them making out again and then ill draw them in fun outfits and then ill draw them making out again and maybe ill draw Edd and Matt idk. but after that ill draw Tom and Tord making out
FOR REALL!!! I love my horribly toxic but hopelessly dependent on each other little guys!!! I'm currently in the process of figuring out my own au, and im having so much fun giving them more reasons to love and hate eachother 💙❤️💙❤️
