If I could speak to the people behind Eurovision, the people behind the EBU, I would genuinely just have one question to ask them: What are you gaining from still allowing Israel to compete? No amount of money will save your contest if Israel is allowed to win any time soon, it will be the death of Eurovision.

Countries would likely contest the win. Sure political, "sympathy" votes exist, they always have, they always will but if the results were to be anything like tonight's you can't convince me there wouldn't be delegations or broadcasters that would voice the "Uh that's bizarre" thoughts they are also having right now. And when you'd refuse to even listen to their concerns, a lot of countries, including surely at least one of "The 5" would refuse to attend next year's edition. Eurovision would be negatively changed forever in a way I doubt it could ever recover from.

You've continuously bended the rules for Israel, you've let them harass other delegations, multiple situations that were witnessed by other artists, members of the other broadcasters, journalists and commentators and all you've gotten in return is a massive show of disrespect towards your own contest. You look like absolute fools.

I shouldn't even be talking about any of this because Israel should not have even been in the position to bend your rules in the first place. You made the mistake of initially not banning Russia for murdering ukrainians daily until having to do so because your funds started to get threatened. And instead of realizing where you went wrong in that situation, you're desperate to get a repeat of it, because apparently Israel killing palestinian children also daily doesn't seem to matter to you either. And don't get me wrong, it's absolutely not right that the same amount of pressure hasn't been applied in this case, but it seems you really want to get to a place where it might become inevitable that it will.

What are you afraid of? Being accused of antisemitism? No, antisemitism is directing slurs at jewish people, it's drawing offensive stereotypes of jewish people, it's the Holocaust revisionism we see rampant on social media these days. Antisemitism is not rightfully pointing out that Israel mass murdering palestinians is wrong.

How many more years are we gonna have of writing these posts? Of ending the Eurovision night feeling like the contest we love and grew up watching is getting closer and closer to irreversibly changing and for the worse? You every year present us with the message of uniting people, and it does unite us, I love sharing this experience with people from all over the world every year. So why are you so adamant on rewarding the ones who are doing everything to make sure this contest is not about unity?

It couldn't get more dystopian than the fact that we live in a world where most people are so morally apathetic that not even the massacre of children shake their feelings; instead, they choose to ignore the suffering of others with willful ignorance. The way so many people have shown absolutely zero regard for Palestinian genocide and ethnic cleansing should terrify us all.

If somehow you haven’t seen by now, while the Super Bowl is being aired, Israel is striking Rafah.

The people of Palestine had been told to go there, they were promised it was safe.

And while this is happening, even though earlier several tags on Palestine were trending, only one or two are now.

I haven’t written any posts personally on Palestine myself. I didn’t feel I had anything to add here aside from reblogging and boosting whatever I can but please. We can’t forget Palestine or its people especially now.

This has gone on too long and gone much much too far MANY times and now is when we need to push harder.

Many of the heads of Western countries are either beating around the bush and wasting time, or outright denying the things the Palestinian people don’t have the privilege to ignore. They don’t have the choice to look away from their pain, or the pain of friends, family, neighbors, their country. And even through all of this they’re still trying their damn hardest just to live. And we all need to listen.

So now, especially if you live in a western country like I do, now we step it up a notch. Now is the time if you haven’t already to read up on Palestinian history. Listen to what the people of Palestine are saying. Hold firm on the boycott like never before. Any and every way you can donate, do it. eSIMs, aid, anything that will reach. Save as much evidence as you can. Videos, articles. Don’t let Zionists pretend all of this never happened.

Even if you think there’s nothing you can do, I’m telling you, keep going. Even if you feel you can only give a little, if we all give a little together it becomes much more.

Hit imperialism where it hurts. In the wallet. Follow the BDS instructions, find protests in your area if you can, boost as much information about Palestine as you can find, call your reps, and do not lose hope. The people of Palestine are not dead. They are holding on even through all this and we all owe it to them to do the same.

A Free Palestine will happen in our lifetimes. But it will be hard fought. So go out there and fight hard! The governments can’t hide from their own people forever. The companies can’t bleed cash forever. The people will win. So push until we do. Do not look away. Free Palestine
