Eddie and Buck met while Eddie was in Afghanistan as a medical army and Buck was a Seal. The two immediately hit it off and got together only to break up because of a misunderstanding. they meet again as in canon only for them to obviously hate each other and continuing to argue while maintaining an effortless teamwork. (I can picture them arguing while rescuing people from a burning house)
