My lovely Kukuri babs Damian and Azuri~
Today the Department of Phenomenal Papercraft is delighting in the awesomely lifelike bird sculptures made by London-based artist Zack Mclaughlin. He uses paper, wood and sometimes plastic resin, clay, and wire to create beautiful life-size models of birds ranging from tiny hummingbirds to large birds of prey.
“I have always loved creating things, be it a drawing, painting or 3d model making. My inspiration always comes from the natural world as I really do have a childlike sense of wonder and awe for everything that nature creates. As I have this fascination with nature I love trying to recreate it in my own way so I can take what magic there is home whilst leaving the true beauty out there to continue inspiring and growing. “
Mclaughlin turns some of his sculptures into dramatic light fixtures, such as this rook:

SPECIES PROFILE: Morphology: This species is roughly 7-10 feet as an adult but one specimen was found to be 13 feet. They range in colors but tend to stick to the dull colors of light brown, eggshell cream, tan etc. but have also been seen with other colors such as purple and pink but it is a highly diluted color. The only part of the body to be brightly colored is the posterior "tails" which are normally a darker shade of the body color when in rest but will rapidly change color, often when disturbed or ready to attack, not unlike the skin of a cuttlefish. NOTE: some have been known to produce biolumonecence. You can distinguish male and female with males having more than 2 hind "tails" They have 4 pairs of legs at the posterior end of their bodies that help them keep a grip on the surface of their environment. Twords the anterior end closer to their face they have 3 pairs of appendages, although some have been noted to poses 4 or more. They use this to grab and hold prey still while they attack. But when not in use they are tucked close to the body. They poses two large eyes used for seeing in low light levels. They are extremely edept at pitch black environments as a study has found that they are able to see a mouse from a distance of 50 ft. Above them are 3 distinct sesory organs used to pick up heat signals but don't give a shape to the object just if it has a heat signature and how big it is. Behavior: This species lives in dark areas with lots of space. They will decide on a dwelling and begin to cover their area with a combination of silk and hardening secretion with the consistency of syrup when freshly produced. They prefer caves or caverns and even basements of old houses. They will live with one another bit will only do so if their dwelling space provides it. The larger the space the more likely it is to find two or more individuals living there. If the space gets smaller, say a tunnel colapses, they will fight and even canibalise a member to free up space. The have complex social groups without a leader. When breeding females will produce 1-3 offspring. These small grubs are roughly the size of a mason jar when born and will grow quickly. The young are the only ones to inhabit the floor of the dwelling as their claws aren't sharp enough to grip the ceiling. Mothers will take care of their young by feeding them predigested food, not unlike a mother bird of prey. Feeding: They are strictly carnivores. They. prefer large prey and consume their prey whole or in large pieces. But if under stress or no large prey is available they will eat smaller prey or even canibalise.
Thoughtform for @rainbowimaginationpandas hope you like the design I came up with ^-^
I made my own Yautja OC a while ago and forgot to post ^-^ He is blooded and has a small clan. Doesn't use stealth and prefers to use natural camouflage to increase the thrill of the hunt. Owns a single xenomorph skull and a few human as well as River Ghost skull. Not a high ranked male but he's up there in his clan.
