Rare firsthand accounts by Israeli whistleblowers cast light on the horrific conditions in the Sde Teiman torture camp in Naqab Desert. Palestinians are stripped down, blindfolded, forced in diapers, and forbidden from speaking. They are subjected to beatings and mental degradation regularly. So much depravity that has gone unseen. Doctors performing procedures outside of their expertise, amputations due to zip-typing of abductees’ wrists, having large dogs unleashed on them at night. Being fed food through straws. I can’t believe it. I am truly in shock. And this is just one whistleblower accounting of this. Who knows what else is happening beyond our knowledge

Worth mentioning that multiple Palestinians have recounted these stories before, as direct victims detailing their experiences. What's unique about these accounts from CNN Israeli whistle-blower is that they're from an Israeli, therefore people are more likely to take this seriously.

the idea of woobiefying lestat (at least as he's written in the show) is just so boring to me. why would you want to erase what makes him such a fascinating character which is he endured horrible suffering and abuse and instead of breaking the cycle he chooses to be an absolute cunt and destroy every chance he has at happiness. why would you want to take all those things away just so he can be your uwu emo blorbo. that's not who he is, he's the cunt you married.

i think a lot of this stems from people's fear that if they relate to or empathize with a villain or an evil character, that they themselves are a bad person. you aren't! it's fiction! fiction is a place to explore dark themes and characters in a safe space. lestat is my favorite character in the show, but i am not under any pretense that he is a victim in his relationships with louis and claudia. the way he treats them is awful and horrifying. his suffering in this case is almost entirely his own making. he treated claudia horribly which caused her to leave, which then caused louis to withdraw from him. it was lestat who lunged at claudia and put his hand around her neck which made louis come at him, and lestat maimed and beat and nearly destroyed louis as a result. literally no one is to blame here but him. that's what makes him absolutely fascinating to me is him being like. the patron saint of self-sabotage.

Hi! I'll talk about it :D

I was an animator on this film, working for a year and a half on it (if any of you guys were wondering where I'd gone). While we were making it, we kept asking each other what the reception for this odd, special movie would be, and joking about it going to the Oscars. Lol can you imagine!!

Fast forward two years, and here we are.

At the Oscars.

Absolutely wild.

Please DO talk about it more! This movie had a minuscule budget compared to the other Oscar nominees; it's traditional 2D animation in a world where 3D has taken over; it's kid-friendly but not FOR kids; and it's SILENT.

SILENT! Not one line of dialogue. And the amazing scriptwriting and animatic work made it not just entertaining, but exciting and absolutely heartbreaking. My first day at the studio they made me watch the animatic, and even in that rough state it made me emotional. I had to hold back tears two or three times. And I did my work from that day on fully believing in this project.

Everybody I met there--background artists, character designers, producers, animators, clean-up artists, all through to the guys at compo, color key, edition, music, the skater girls who served as reference for Robot's and Dog's dance and more things that I'm definitely forgetting--showed a huge world what a passionate little team can do. I am SO proud of all of us.

This movie is weird, it's unique, and even coming from a very biased person, it's a freaking treasure and deserves all the praise it gets.

I know the IOF are far past recognizing the humanity of any Palestinian, but it seems that they are too far gone to even tell what the world sees as inhumane at all. They're claiming that the massacre in Northern Gaza wasn't due to the IOF opening fire, and instead saying it's because of a stampede caused by people rushing to obtain bags of flour. Even if this wasn't such a blatantly disgusting and cowardly lie, does this "truth" that you're presenting absolve you? Do you think admitting that the population you're supposedly "taking all measures to avoid unnecessary casualties" for are dying of starvation from the seige you're imposing so much that hundreds of people are scrambling to get flour for their dying families, 150 people dying in the process, does any favors for their argument? Or are they beyond caring what the world thinks of them altogether? They POSTED A VIDEO of the mass rushing to obtain the flour! Not thinking that is damning proof of what they're doing?!

Every death in Gaza is on the IOF. People who died of sickness, whether they got sick because of the conditions or whether they had pre existing illnesses that they couldn't get treatment for, were killed by the IOF. People who died of starvation were killed by the IOF. People who died of the cold were killed by the IOF. People who died to suicide were killed by the IOF. They can't think that saying "they didn't die because of this thing that we caused, they died because of that other thing that we caused" absolves them of anything.
