Hey, I love your art sm! I’ve been following your art account on YouTube for about 3 months now and I was wondering if you could make some kind of tutorial regarding anatomy? I know that’s a lot to ask, but as a fellow artist I would rlly appreciate it.

hey thanks!!! my most obvious tip is to look at references of course, and for tutorials, i’m not really your guy, but i will recommend ethan becker on youtube

i do have one tip i’d like to share!! instead of sketching with lines, try blocking out the silhouette and shapes of a character with a big brush (i use a marker) like this:

it’s not gonna be a *perfect* well defined sketch, but it will help you a lot with the forms you’re trying to make, and it’s easier to just dive in and figure out where the lines should go. when i do the blocking i don’t focus on the details, i focus on the shapes and what looks right to me. 

it’s not easy to get used to, but once you get the hang of it, everything just becomes easier :0 i use this trick for full bodies all the time!! if i dont know how a certain pose looks, references help me as well
