[OOC: HELLOOO!!! WELCOME TO @j7nkovich 's HATCHETFIELD OC BLOG!]
[OOC: HERE IS THE MAN HIMSELF, DEREK DOORMAN!]
[LEMME COPY AND PASTE THE DESCRIPTION I WROTE FOR HIM ON DISCORD:
Derek Doorman
AKA "Xx_Keymaster_xX"
18, aroace, cis male.
Tech savvy ghost hunter and paranoid conspiracy theorist, this hatchetfield high attendee believes he knows ghostly secrets of hatchetfield that nobody else does.
Very into ghost stories and creepypastas, his beliefs are seen as little more than immature child's tales. But he's determined to prove those who dont believe him wrong.
His kinda, story, like, fanmade nmt thing would be related to a project of his:
His most ambitious project yet is a (device or app, placeholder </3) that is supposedly capable of detecting anomalies around you. a radar for the paranormal. a confirmation to what was once believed to be paranoid pareidolia.
But when it starts picking up things that it shouldn't,
Things that he never expected it to, it all starts going wrong.
He's made contact with something he was never supposed to,
Cogito, ergo insanus sum.
I think, therefore I am mad.]
Well, certainly Derek. Many a thing exist beyond yours and others perception. Machinations that are incomprehensible without the right set of eyes to see what they could mean.
While I appreciate discussing other folklore and mythology with you, first I must ask - what do you know of... shall we call them Eldritch horrors? Something like Lords in Black?
Can't say it rings a bell, ma'am!
Sounds quite cult-y though? The only cult I really know is the legend of that old church around here. Pretty freaky but that's more people-freaky than paranormal-freaky.
You've definitely caught my attention with Eldritch Horrors though.
Go on...
What the lovely set of coincidences, then. The church, why they worshiped those same Lords. And they happen to be Eldritch Horrors...
Beings with control of creativity, surveillance, time, hunger, and desire. Opposed by a... shall we say sister of light to combat the dark. Constantly fighting, trying to arrest control over the many threads of the universe, to either tangle them, cut them, or ideally rectify them.
How haven't I heard about this stuff before? I'm in practically every mythology thread in the WORLD-- Hyperbole...
If that church worshipped all these guys, why isn't THAT the most spoken about part? I've heard of some fucked-up cults but,, Usually it's just the same copy-pasted: "I'm God, actually." "There is a God, but it's Jesus2: the Squeakuel!"
I've never heard of something like THIS before.
How'd you find out about all that, ma'am?
The church is rather secretive. They don't exactly easily allow outsiders access to their most precious of secrets. Though even you must know the magic of The Waylon Place had to come from somewhere.
How did I find out about it? Hmm...
I shall simply say that I have my hands in my pots. My eyes directed a great many directions. The information came along on... a web, of sorts.
Wooooahhh... So you're one of those people with like super-sleuth myth hunting connections? That's AWESOME dude!
And yeah it does make sense a cult would try to hide stuff like that, actually...
Webby chuckles, something like the plucking of a shamisen on the wind.
Indeed. They are still around, dear Derek. Doing a great many things they should not be doing. Do be careful. I fear they may want to harm you if they find out you're trying to dig into their hidden parts.
Tell me, have you seen anything of this cult? Any evidence?
I mean, I did try to do a ghost investigation on the old Waylon Place one time.
There was some reaaaaal creepy stuff in there. Pretty sure there was some sort of leftover ritual equipment -- honestly the weirdest part was the ritual equipment was the only part that didn't seem to have cobwebs.
My friend Grace was the one who let me look around a little bit one time! Her dad's like, the realtor for it so she had the keys to get in. She said she didn't want me to trespass.
I never told her about the ritual stuff though, she's all about holy-ghosty stuff and I figured it might freak her out real bad. I mean, it did look pretty, uh, demonic..... especially the basement. I don't have my photos with me right now, those are on my camera, but there was a whole summoning circle of sorts down there. I don't wanna sketch it out-- incase that like, attaches something to me, so I'll just describe it:
It looked like a regular pentagram, but the bottom point was really long, so it looked kinda like a goat's skull? There was a circle around it like a pentagram would have but the bottom point extended out of it completely. The end of each point had like, different colours. The bottom point had a green one, then the left one had blue, I don't remember the top left... and i think one of them was yellow?
I would be cautious returning to such a locale. The magics of the Lords are strong there. There are some things even I - I mean others that oppose the Lords cannot alter. Fates that will tangle if left unchecked.
The pentagram does sound correct. Blue, purple, yellow, pink, and green. They stand in for each of the Lords.

"There are some things even I - I mean others that oppose the Lords cannot alter."
Wait, hold on,
-You know way too much about this, first of all -- like, practically the ENTIRE lore and mythos.
-That slip-up "There are "some things even I- I mean, others"
-Speaking those names in full and then warning me Not to do so...
Is this some sort of like, LARP? like in D&D?
Is this all just made up basing on the whole Waylon legend?
Cause if it is - I appreciate LARP as much as the next guy but my blog is for actual paranormal theories, sorry, ma'am.
Either that or you're one of the cultists, don't know how I'd feel about that...
I am quite ashamed, Derek. To tell the truth, all of my other family is a part of this dangerous cult. There they are highly ranked in the hierarchy.
As for me, well, we shall say I escaped that. I oppose them, and wish to see them out of the cult. Somewhere safe and full of light, instead of the darkness they now linger in. I reached out to you in hopes of keeping you safe, but I understand if you don't trust me now.
Oh, man-- I didn't even consider that...
My bad, ma'am, that sounds really rough...
Good to know you're out of there, though.
Thanks, uh...
Thanks for reaching out, I'll try to be more careful with the things I check out...Maybe stop looking around the Waylon Place. I'm all for ghosts but investigating evil people isn't really in my wheelhouse.
I am planning on doing a ghost investigation in Hatchetfield High Later today though, with Grace, actually! So the blog wont run dry anytime soon. It'll just be alot safer.... Hopefully.
Ah, yes, Grace. She can be quite a lovely girl, and judging from your posts, you shouldn't have anything to worry about with her. You don't seem a 'dirty dude' to me.
Best of luck, Derek.
I'd love to talk mythology with you sometime. Should be quite pleasant. And I do mean not just the cult either.
[ooc: seriously, mythology is one of my hyperfixations that slumbers like a sleeper agent, woken at the mention of such things.]
Anyway-- honestly, yeah! Grace is a pretty nice girl, I think we're friends? We talk a lot Mainly because nobody else wants to... And I was one of the only people to sign her homec*mming petition... I don't know why people didn't see the issues with the whole thing, I thought she explained it all pretty well. Freaked me the fuck out.
And thank you for the well wishes ma'am!
I'm absolutely down to talk about mythology with you at any point!
In my eyes, myths are like a ghost of their own. Keeping the spirits of long-gone stories alive, if you know what I mean?

I shall simply say that I have my hands in my pots. My eyes directed a great many directions. The information came along on... a web, of sorts.
Wooooahhh... So you're one of those people with like super-sleuth myth hunting connections? That's AWESOME dude!
And yeah it does make sense a cult would try to hide stuff like that, actually...
Don't know if you know who I am,, You probably don't, actually...
B-But I'm that one blonde guy in your class,, Derek Doorman! I uh, I signed your homec*mming petition one time!
I wanted to ask if you'd ever wanna come ghost-hunting with me at some point after school?
You're into spiritual-holy-ghosty stuff right? Me too!! I think it'd be awesome!

Oh, you were one of the only people to sign my petition, of course I remember you! I am into Jesus, and he is the only man I will ever be into. Ghost-hunting? I certainly only believe in the Holy Ghost, but sure- why not? You let me know whenever you want to go, okay?
It's uh, I have reason to believe there's something pretty Weird going on at our school, but the most optimal time to investigate would be when no-ones around, so I'm planning to sneak back in with a buncha equipment after-hours to check if there's really something Paranormal going on, and I think having an extra set of hands would help a-lot!
...W-Wait are you okay with that?
That could probably be considered tresspassing, now that I think about it...
That works! That should buy us abooout.... NNNeeearrly 3 or 4 hours? That should be good enough for a quick investigation! plus we - or I.. - could always go back another day and look some more!
Don't know if you know who I am,, You probably don't, actually...
