I stand in front of your body, and can't take my eyes off. My soul is empty, but I'm not crying. I don't know, I just.. I can't take it. I can't comprehend what happened. So, what happened? You died. For some reason, you died. By some absurd coincidence, somehow.. Unexpectedly, suddenly. I shift my gaze on your punctured chest. To the blood, what oozing from under the hammelhorn vest, I looking on your face. A bit shocked, but surprisingly calm for case like that. On the blood, blowing from under your head. Blood.. Not a red liquid — it would be strange to say that. Blood. It is blood. You are dead, you are not breathing anymore.. I don't know, how long. You're cold, and your blood is cold too. Tears are welling up in eyes, but for some reason they don't want to fall to the ground. My gaze is still.. Empty, I guess. So weird.. Just yesterday we were laughing while sitting by the bonfire, and today.. And today you fell. The captain of sky pirates, Twig Verginix, just fell because his chest was pierced, he fell from skyship, fell here, to the Deepwoods. That's kinda wrong. It can't be possible, everything looks so unreal. Stupidly bright, calm.. Ordinary. Why is everything so ordinary, when you died? Why the world doesn't miss you with me, why the Sky still bright and colorful, like leaves on the trees and the grass, and.. Everything is just going according to plan, when you're lying here. Dead, cold.. I just don't have another words.
One of my tears after all falling on your body. I should scream, I should begging you to wake up, I should.. I should. But, maybe, I did not fully realize this. Didn't realize, you will not be with me tomorrow, after week, after year or two years. Never. You will still be eighteen years old, and will never grow up. Because you died.
Everything around is absurdly quiet. Absurdly empty in comparison to everything, what is happening in my head and before my eyes. It can't be possible. You could not die, but you are here, at my feets. I don't know, what should I do with you. Bury you? And how is this done correctly? What is the right way to bury someone, who was your.. Everything? Who was your best friend ever, your master, role model.. How? I can't imagine.

Dark-red track goes behind the bushes, and becomes more pale, but, for be honest, so slow. You are heavy. More heavy, than was before. I stopped in a clearing flooded with light. Around.. No, I can't say there's no a soul here. I'm sure something is hiding in the bushes, on the trees. Little animals, insects. Predators, even, possibly. But it doesn't bother me — now I don't care about everything, I guess. About everything, exept something, what I must to do.
I'm standing at your grave. How many years have passed? Tears wells up in my eyes, as usual. I still can't get used to it. "Time heals"? No, it just makes you get used to the thought. Or just puts you in front of a fact. Time doesn't care about your fillings — it doesn't matter for it. For the most part people, who lost someone, just get used to pain in their chests, or lose enough memories ro speak calmly about loss. It's a shame I have a good memory.
