Hello solavellan hell is a place and i am still here
As someone who didn't start watching the Walking Dead until after the main show ended, and both the spin-off with the teenagers, and the Rick/Michonne spin-off were over, I knew about Glenn. I was on Tumblr when that went down. I knew what Negan was gonna do. It was rough, but I was prepared. What I WASN'T prepared for, was Abraham.
Fuck everyone who prepared me for Glenn, but not Abraham.

"Tattoos are becoming unpopular", "piercings are unpopular again", "keep your hair natural never dye it again, it's the trend now" literally fuck off I know what y'all are doing
Fun fact: if you, as an adult, tell miserable children that their youth is the best that life will ever be, and that it's all just downhill from there, there's a percentage of them who will hear this and think "well, I guess I better kill myself before that happens." And a certain percentage of those will proceed to do that and succeed.
Anyway what I'm saying is that any time you feel tempted to say that, you should instead consider shutting the fuck up. Just because you peaked at 16 doesn't mean anyone else did. Most peoples' lives get better than that.
I believe that people can grow.
I know that I did.
When I was 14, I was given books by my parents that portrayed gay people as being possessed by demons. And I believed it because I was an idiot kid who didn't know any better.
In less than a year, I went from believing that, to understanding that I was handed propaganda by people who wanted to control the way my brain processed information. And I was horrified.
Within a year of that realization, I also came to the conclusion that the belief I had been taught since I was two years old (love thy neighbor) was only meant to apply to people that looked like me, believed the things I believed, and for into a certain mold. And I fucking hated that conclusion. My belief system began to change. I began to resent the church I grew up in, and stopped basing my beliefs and opinions on what those people wanted from me.
I grew. I changed. And before the end of my 16th year on this planet, I was meeting friends an hour before work, to hold signs and support them at No H8 rallies.
I had to be careful. Didn't want to get in trouble. But I also wanted to be there to support my friends who loved me regardless of my background, my upbringing, or my beliefs. I learned to fight for those friends, who had no reason to fight for me.
I was 19 when I finally walked away from church and the hypocrisy I was raised in. I only made it that far because of my deep seeded fear of letting down my parents, or upsetting authority figures.
Because, first and foremost, above all else, I am a coward.
But, I believe that people can change. I am proof that people can change.
But if you know someone who is currently defending ICE and their actions, that is not your friend. That is not your family. That is someone who, above all else, is selfish. They are not cowards. They are not afraid of upsetting their family. They can look at something that is fundamentally wrong, and be okay with it.
There is no convincing them.
They're already convinced.
Write them off.
You'll be better off for it.
People can change.
But if they were going to, they would have by now
Im weighing in on the discourse. We need to start putting sea monsters on maps again.

i really think we the U.S. public need to be SUPER FUCKING LOUD about how admirable we think this kind of thing is.
Anytime military members speak up about not liking their orders to be deployed against the american public, or especially REFUSING such orders, the nation needs to hear a great outcry of public support for that act
That's such a sick baby picture to have. The rest of us are all like "oh this is me tripping in the backyard when I was 2" and that baby's gonna have "yeah that's me in my mom's arms as she wins a mortal Kombat tournament". Iconic.
Girl help they're selectively breeding the world's most powerful Mortal Kombat player.
