you can't say "check it out" these days without being in the house like carpet

I think more games need better dedicated tutorials. It’s one thing to be thrown into the combat or setting, and it’s another to not teach your playerbase what buttons do what and how certain characters interact with their environment.

I don’t want to have to watch a 30 minute YouTube video on how to play goobus ploobus because the game doesn’t want to teach me anything about their playstyle. I don’t want to watch my teammates flounder at how to play goobus ploobus because the game won’t teach them how to play the character.

I feel like with how quickly games and updates for them tend to come out, a certain lack of polish is lost. And losing half-decent tutorials for a quicker update sucks.

The Vee fanzine is back for 2026! This is a completely free, digital-release fanzine focused on Vee from The Owl House. We accept fanworks from any interested contributors! The interest form is non-binding – it is required to submit works to the zine, but there are no consequences if you fill out the form and don't end up submitting anything.

Timeline:

Today: Signups open! May 1, 2026: Optional contributor check-in 1 July 1, 2026: Optional contributor check-in 2 August 1, 2026: Final work submission deadline! August 14, 2026: Zine release date!
