Rewatching the first ST season
And there’s the moment in the third episode when Nancy’s sitting with Steve and his friends at the cafeteria having lunch or breakfast idk doesn’t matter
And I just realised that Eddie is somewhere too, maybe sitting at the cafeteria as well, or maybe he doesn’t have any friends at those times and he is sitting all alone in the woods at his table with a pack of cereal, isn’t eating, just starring blindly at the table in front of him, one hand in the pack, no thoughts in his head, just him and his life, and maybe an aftertaste of a conversation he had with Wayne this morning, and Wayne wasn’t angry or something, but he was worried and a bit sad, because he knows how hard Eddie’s life is, and that Eddie is tired, and Wayne himself knows that Eddie deserves so much better and he can’t give him everything the boy deserves, and it’s hard for Wayne too
And it’s just a picture in my head, distracted Eddie, short hair, no tattoos, no properly styled clothes, uncle’s old flannel plaid shirt, nearly empty pack of cereal, two crumpled cigarettes in the shirts’s pocket, nebulous skies, silent woods, raw table surface because there was a rain early in the morning, his jeans actually are getting a bit wet too and it makes him feel cold but he’s sitting still and don’t want to move
