Donkey Kong Jr. arcades appear to gain a specific glitch over time, which manifests as a tall 1-pixel wide vertical bar next to Donkey Kong Jr. (seen here below the vine at the beginning of the first level). No technical reason for this is yet known, but it seems to have to do with a degradation of certain components of the printed circuit board over time. It is possible that given enough time, this will affect every surviving machine that is using an unmodified circuit board.
