New Chapter
After freelancing in Boston for 7 months, I will be starting my new job this week as Multimedia Coordinator at Partners In Health. I’m honored to join a team that works hard creating and advocating for quality and ethical story telling for those in need around our planet. This team is also dedicated to maintaining, if not showcasing, dignity for the people served by PIH. A member of the communications team, I’ll grow, maintain, and facilitate access to the Partners In Health digital archiving system, which houses PIH’s photographic collection of more than 100,000 images, spanning more than a dozen countries, dating back nearly three decades, and continuing to expand. I also directly fulfill photo requests within PIH and externally when necessary. I feel very grateful that I’ve been chosen for full-time employment with an organization devoted to social justice, in a position that is directly related to my skill-set and education background.

To Cause Change is to Cause Beautiful. Spotlighting visual storytellers who are holding society accountable through their images. #ICauseBeautiful
I’m taking over the Cause Beautiful Instagram account for the next four days, discussing the way I utilize mobile photography as a tool and how it relates to photojournalism as a whole.

The rally visited five properties in Dorchester, escorted by Bikes-Not-Bombs' BOCA program. BOCA's focus is to bring young people together to make community change through cycling.

Kurmann, 38, died on Aug. 7, 2015 after a collision with a flatbed truck while riding to work. The Boston Cyclists Union took a collection that will go towards safety improvements for cyclists and pedestrians on Boston's Streets.
