Hello Tumblr! It's been one billion years since I've posted here but I'm back cus I need more places to share my beloved Eridsona, I haven't drawn properly in years but PHM has been such a brainworm I can't stop! It's relieving that I can call myself an artist again tbh. This is Kahlo! Her egg was contaminated by bismuth and because of it she has lots and lots of problems with her mental and physical health, she's a bit of a grump but that's just cus of all the walls she's built up. Funnily enough, not inspired by Prism, I actually think she was made a little bit before Prism, but I didn't post her here and I discovered Prism not too long after making and they get along! I'm currently in the process of drawing some angst

Prism and Kahlo are really two sides of the same coin, Prism is a pebble when Grace got here and due to that, was able to use him as a guiding, parental force in their life! However Kahlo grew up during the whole Petrova crisis and disappearance of the Blip-A, she never ever got a source of comfort like Grace and ended growing jaded and isolated, a little bitter. Kahlo sees that potential in Prism and doesn't want them to suffer the same awful childhood that she had, wants her to be happy at all costs!!! Even if she struggles to express that outwardly! (Too many walls built up, though the arrival of grace is the thing that starts to ever so slowly break them down)

Imagine Grace defined his name as the elegance definition of grace and Rocky spends years thinking how fucking ironic this clumsy leaky space blobs name is.

Until Grace slips out a sentence along the lines of "could you give me a little grace here" and Rocky immediately points out he used a word wrong so Grace has to explain that yeah, grace means elegance but it can also mean mercy sometimes too.

And Rocky has to suddenly reconcile that the clumsy leaky blob that saved his life twice, that almost certainly doomed himself to come back for him, name is Mercy.

"Dogwhistles" are called that based on real "dog whistles", many of which are pitched too high to be audible to most humans, but are still perfectly audible to dogs.

Rhetorical dogwhistles are things that most people would not be able to identify as bigoted because they're INTENDED to have plausible deniability.

The wording changes are meant to be subtle enough that people really can mix them up accidentally when they don't have much information!

So when the gender critical movement calls trans women "transwomen", they're hoping for 2 things.

this usage will spread enough among people who don't know any better, to give transphobes the plausible deniability of not LOOKING like a frothing bigot constantly.

the usage grammatically places trans women in a different category than other women; it's changing "trans" from an adjective to part of a noun to make this distinction.

The more we can avoid this usage, the less deniability have transmisogynists have when using it, and the less rhetorical ground we cede to the degendering and misgendering of trans women.

I don't actually think ceding this ground is LESS divisive than pointing it out politely.

k but imagine Rocky wanting to learn about how humans became the apex predators of their planet so he has Grace “hunt” him in the biodome as an experiment and during it he thinks Grace isn’t trying or taking it seriously which is bad bad bad because this is for research purposes

only for Rocky to get more and more tired as the experiment goes on just to realize that Grace isn’t which makes him panic so he puts as much distance as he can between them and finds a (hopefully) safe spot to sleep and when he wakes up the human is crouching over him like “got youuu” and Rocky has never shrieked so damn loud before in his life
