So I have gotten another au idea that's been rotating in my head for a while. It's a Superhero au.
I never liked the Superhero/vigilante Au's that much, but I'm obsessed with this idea.
I don't have that much thought out, so here's just the basis:
So Dream is a superhero. Well, Clay is, Dream is his superhero name. I'm not sure about his powers, but I've been leaning towards some type of hard-light manipulation and an axe he creates with his powers.
Tommy is his younger brother, who finds out his brother is a superhero and naturally wants to be one too. He finds out he has powers too, although idk what powers yet.
And the most interesting character to me is George, who completes the trio and is Dream's personal sassy AI. However he might not have been always like this...
There are probably other heroes (and of course villains) too, but I haven't thought about it that much.
Also there's Dnf somewhere later in the story because I love them
When you're George, being a sentient End Crystal doesn't stop you from being an absolute menace to your best friend
I'm back~
This au is one of many (and I mean A LOT) aus I have, so I may start posting sketches from the other ones too. However this is one of my favorites, since it's so angsty and random at the same time XD
(and no, I won't tell you what the Enderman is saying ;P)
Your Divine Punishment AU looks really cool!!!! I would love to know more about how the dream team function in this AU. What is their dynamic like? Do they have different roles? Also would love to know if they have any special abilities!
First of all, thank you <3 I appreciate that someone is actually interested in my random au's XD
Now onto the actual question and OH BOY I have many crazy ideas, but I will keep some of them for later... Haha XP
It'll probably be longer, because I accidentally made a lore dump, so buckle up.
For context, this au is a sort of crossover between the Manhunts (which are an extreme game in this au) and DSMP, and there are different versions of characters from both universes, which means it follows the manhunt!Dteam specifically.
So Dream, as implied, is the Ender Dragon, which also makes him a sort of god of the End in a way? However the thing is, he's not the first nor the original Dragon - he's a replacement (in short it has to do something with a manhunt, pissed off gods and a divine punishment). He's still the same competitive and cocky Dream who cares about his friends. However he's also deeply scarred about what happened, is scared of his dragon side and that he'll lose himself and also feels guilty.
This coincides with George and Sapnap, who were punished alongside Dream, turned into an End Crystal and a Void Flame specifically. They were stuck as inanimate parts of the End for centuries, until they eventually regained their human forms, but due to being fundamentally changed, they only look human but never will be human again. Both had nothing else to do other than accept what they are now. Dream doesn't like that and refuses to accept it, trying to find a way back.
Now onto the powers✨
Dream
Has instincts and powers of the Ender Dragon
Territorial over the End and the End Crystals, has a tendency to circle the main island when deep in thought, likes to perch in high places
Unlike George and Sapnap, he is a living creature, so he does need to sleep, however strangely doesn’t really need to eat, but has a weird appetite for chorus fruit
can breathe Dragon’s breath but doesn’t do it, he can channel it by his hands however, can throw fireballs, is often surprised by his own strength - can break any block just by gently punching it, except obsidian, bedrock, endstone and of course the end crystals, also he cannot be hurt by the void
Is much more resilient and when something hurts him, he’s healed by the end crystals
Probably would be able to turn fully into a dragon if he wanted, but too scared to try
George
Heals Dream just like the other crystals (Dream absolutely hates it and refuses to be healed by him)
Can willingly transform between full crystal and humanoid form
Uses crystal form to “rest”/charge
In crystal form able to appear as a reflection on crystals and speak through it
Sensitive - in crystal form explodes if hit by anything, in human form a bit more resilient, but still needs to be careful - he has a phobia of projectiles
Sapnap
Provides the dragons/Dreams strength/magical power
Can willingly transform between full flame and humanoid form
Uses flame form for comfort and rest, even if he doesn't need it
In flame form able to speak from and influence almost any fire
The guardian dragon of the End with his crystal and flame
OR Dream, the Ender Dragon, technically god of the End with immense guilt – George, the sassy End Crystal with a lot of opinions – Sapnap, the chaotic Void Flame with trolling tendencies
Yes, my Dream SMP, specifically Dream team phase came back REAL STRONG and has been around for quite a while now and I don't think it'll leave any time now, so here's a small drawing from one of my many aus - Divine Punishment AU
If you're interested, feel free to ask!
(also I'm trying to completely stay away from any drama, so please respect that! Thank you <3)
Okay, so, I love Kpop Demon Hunters and the duet between Rumi and Jinu just gave me such Gi-hun and In-ho vibe that I had to draw this. It just makes me go absolutely feral.
I'll probably make several posts explaining the various song choices in the playlist, and Free will definitely be there too.
(sorry for the quality, it's horrible, but idk what to do with it)
Version without text and without shading and backround under the cut:
CHAOTIC AND HEARTFELT INHUN CONFESSION? YES PLEASE
Although he doesn't want to admit it, In-ho has definitely fallen in love with Gi-hun. It goes the other way too. It's also pretty obvious to anyone who pays the two at least a bit of attention (I mean c'mon, have you seen how In-ho looks at Gi-hun? That man is literally obsessed. Like really obsessed. It's not a joke). They're both like teenagers in adult bodies.
It's also not easy for both of them for similar, but different reasons - Gi-hun is divorced and has a daughter and In-ho's wife had died. They're both broken men with a lot of trauma and regrets. However when near the other, things just feel... lighter.
The confession comes unexpectedly, probably with some small, inconspicuous pushing from Jun-ho.
It's some lazy afternoon and they are huddled inside Jun-ho's apartment. Jun-ho went to buy something, leaving the two tactically alone. The atmosphere is quiet and awkward to say the least.
They start talking, the general small talk, which slowly shifts into a more serious and deep-talk territory - never directly about the games, but everything around them - the past, their families, relationships, magic etc.
Then Gi-hun starts talking about his mother and then his daughter and confesses how many regrets he has, how awful he feels and indirectly says he's a terrible person.
In-ho doesn't like that very much.
He sees Gi-hun as an incredible human being, who was too stubborn to let go of his efforts of stopping the games and in the end succeeded, saving many lives in the process.
So In-ho literally explodes, the temperature in the room rising several degrees, as he stops Gi-hun's self-degredation. The truth spills out in a burst and many confessions are made.
In-ho stops, but only after it's too late. Only after he said the sacred three words: ,,I love you"
Gi-hun is stunned. He stares at him for a moment before taking his hands in his and kissing him.
Is it cheesy? Yes. Is it awkward? Double yes. But it finally brings these two broken people together, so they don't have to heal alone. It marks the start of something new and beautiful.
Jun-ho later returns, finds out what happened and cheers them on.
Also I like to imagine that after the confessions, Gi-hun remembers that In-ho technically asked him out on a date during the games (the line that Gihun can buy him a soju if they get out. If you know, you know). He fulfills that by taking In-ho out.
So INHUN DATE LET'S GOOOOO
------
This is all I have from the story ideas for now (although maybe I'll get some more ideas, who knows). I have some other small tidbits of AU lore, but it's nothing much.
I think I'm gonna start with the song explanations from now on.
Anyways, if you're interested about something, feel free to ask!
I'm currently working on a drawing for the Cursed Games AU based on Free from Kpop Demon hunters, so I'll be less active, but I still wanted to post something small.
I was thinking, we don't exactly know who In-ho was (personality-wise, in canon) before becoming the Front man and before the games and trauma (at least I think so. Correct me if I'm wrong). I like to imagine he was similar to how he acted when pretending to be one of the players.
So, I was like, what if he used to be an absolute goofball in my au? Not brooding and serious, but just a silly and soft guy, who makes shitty puns and laughs at his own jokes, loves his family deeply and would do anything for his brother.
Some time after being freed from the games, he slowly starts regaining his old self, starting with the cat incident. After that, he becomes more and more like the In-ho Jun-ho remembers.
Also, Gi-hun is absolutely smitten by it (mainly by his terrible puns)
I desperately need to get my lazy ass to make an animatic for the Cursed Games AU on Unleash the magic from Equestria girls: The friendship games with In-ho as Twilight and Il-nam as Cinch (and probably the VIPs as the Shadowbolts) because it's literally spinning in my head.
Like the whole ending of the song is making me just scream. Il-nam giving him the knife and convincing him to let in the magic. In-ho walking away, back to the other players, the knife in hands, veins of dark magic slowly spreading up his arms. His eyes flash as the magic takes full control. Him killing the last players.
I know it's cheesy, but just AAAAAAH It fits so well into this au and I'm going absolutely feral.
This isn't anything big, but I just imagine a wholesome scene with the trio.
In-ho is doing much better, so they go for a walk outside (well, Jun-ho and Gi-hun drag him out, because he doesn't want to, as some people still don't like him and he feels bad. However his brother and friend both insist he needs to go out).
They are walking, In-ho sometimes stumbling a bit, but not needing assistance from the other two anymore. They do pass a few people who were part of the games on the way. They just give In-ho distrusting looks and go in a wide arc around them, making him feel terrible.
In this gloomy atmosphere, while thinking of turning around and going home, something unexpected happens. Suddenly, a stray cat appears. Gi-hun wants to go to her, but she doesn't trust him, backing away with ears flat against her head. However to his and Jun-ho's surprise, In-ho makes his way towards the small creature with careful steps. She looks like she's gonna bolt away any second, but after In-ho settles on the ground and reaches out with his hand, she slowly makes her way towards him.
It's like something clicks and the cat starts nuzzling him with her small head, acting like she found her favourite human.
Jun-ho and Gi-hun just stand a little bit apart, watching with absolute amazement and melting at the sight (Gi-hun is feeling butterflies. He's madly in love, he just doesn't know it yet. Or maybe he does and is just too dumb or ignorant to notice). The withdrawn, traumatized and broken man in front of them sudddenly seems several years younger, his face graced with a small, gentle smile. He cradles the small creature in his arms, softly speaking to her, petting her fur and letting her grab onto him with her small paws like her life depends on it.
They end up taking the cat home and adopting it. She becomes their official therapeutic cat.
-------
This may or may not be based on the fact that I have a cat too... Umm... Ooops?
I honestly have no idea what her name should be. If you have any ideas, please share them, since I'm literally lost.
I have a scene from the Cursed Games AU in my head with the Hwang brothers after In-ho's rescue.
(I love the tragic siblings trope, and even more the healing from tragedy/trauma trope, so don't blame me)
After In-ho is back, he's extremely weak. He stays in Jun-ho's apartment, being taken care of by his brother and Gi-hun (who visits suspiciously more than needed).
It's not exactly... easy between the brothers at first. In-ho feels guilty and would rather just disappear, not wanting help from anyone, but can barely walk. On the other hand Jun-ho is glad his brother is okay and finally home and wants to help him in all the ways he can, but he's still a bit weary around him (also it's so weird for Jun-ho to see his older brother, the one he always looked up to, being so vulnerable, like a little kid).
Although the beginnings are hard, they slowly start rebuilding their brotherly bond. Occasionally some teasing and banter arises too, highlighting the beauty of the healing process.
A breaking point comes during one of those more quiet evenings. In-ho is doing much better and finally gains enough courage to ask the question that has been eating him alive from the start:
,,Do you hate me?"
It startles Jun-ho, making him stop from doing whatever he was doing and turn towards his older brother. He wants to be as honest as possible. No more secrets.
,,I did."
It's simple. In-ho expected it, but it still stings. He just gently nods his head.
However Jun-ho continues:
,,I did, for a while. But then everything changed the moment I found out the truth and I realized I hate the thing that did this to you and not you."
He stops for a moment and then smiles. A small, sincere smile.
,,So, no, I don't hate you, hyung."
Something warm settles in In-ho chest. He still doesn't believe he should be forgiven, but he let's himself be content and hopeful. At least for a moment.

It's nothing much, I'm not a writer, but I have a few more scenes in mind, so get ready for more in the future!
A small thing about In-ho as the Front man in the Cursed Games AU Pt.2
Part 1 here
The second time In-ho was really fighting against the control was when he was acting to be one of the players.
After the confrontation with his brother, the magic wasn't exactly stable. The death of one of the main mages/gods/demigods (I'm still not completely sure about this - if you have an idea, you can share it!) behind it - Il-nam - also didn't exactly help it. Control was slightly slipping and In-ho was much more conscious and himself than ever before.
However a problem arose - someone was trying to destroy the magic and end the games for good. That someone being the previous winner Seong Gi-hun.
So a sabotage was needed from the inside to stop him from ending the whole thing.
In-ho was put as a player in the games by the magic. He however had much more free will than normally, while still being partly controlled, to be authentic.
This was when he started falling for Gi-hun. There was something about the man, the self-made hero, that made the fog in his mind recede and made him feel like himself - real, human. Not the Front man. Not the fake Oh Young-il. No. Hwang In-ho, the man that disappeared all those years ago.
When the rebellion came, he was supposed to betray him. To tell Gi-hun they are cornered. To pretend he's dead. But he couldn't. He couldn't betray the man that showed him kindness. Humanity. Hope.
So he didn't do what he was meant to. He stood up againt the opressing darkness. He knew he would be punished, he knew he might not even survive, but he didn't care. As long as this nightmare would end, he would do anything.
Of course, the punishment was swift, his body trapped in a magic statis, hidden in a pocket dimension away from others.
His sacrifice however wasn't for nothing, as thanks to it, Gi-hun was able to get to the source of the games and finally end it all.
A small thing about In-ho as the Front man in the Cursed Games AU Pt.1
Part 2 here
Although In-ho was under control of the dark magic of the games, he still occasionally had moments of levity, where his free will fought to the surface. There are two moments that really stand out above the rest - basically canon moments rewritten to fit my au.
I imagine the first time In-ho really fought the control of the magic was during the confrontation between him and Jun-ho on the cliff. His consciousness/real self was buried deep under the influence of the magic before this moment. He was barely there, whatever was happening on the outside lost to him in a haze.
But then something happened. Someone from the outside world infiltrated the island. Someone he knew. His own brother. Jun-ho.
This woke up his will to fight back, and he did. The whole time Jun-ho was there, he fought to at least do something, say anything so his brother wouldn't see him as the monster he was forced to be.
When the confrontation came, the magic wanted him to kill him, was shouting in In-ho's mind to finish the job, pull the trigger, end it then and there.
But he couldn't do it. In a desperate attempt to save Jun-ho, he forced his arm to aim at his shoulder.
But how was Jun-ho then saved? I think In-ho's love for his brother broke the hold of the magic for long enough to call captain Park to help him.
I'm having so many random ideas and small headcanons for the Cursed games AU, and most of them are just goofy and I'm going crazy😭
For example I imagine that Gi-hun, although of course having trauma, went back to being close to how he was in season 1 (I JUST LOVE SEASON 1 GIHUN OKAY? He's a baby and deserves to be protected at all cost) (or well, being a mix of season 1 and 2) and I just imagine Inho trying to be broody or serious or something, and Gihun just messing around and being goofy (and you know that although Inho tries to keep his composure, he cannot ignore the lovable goofball and just gives in) (I just think season 1 Gihun and Inho could have such a fun dynamic)
Or idk why, but Inho being a complete diva and just being like "I don't care if you don't like me" (although that would be after he got over the "It's all my fault and I deserve the hate" phase) (I listened to the song If U seek Amy by Britney Spears and this is what I came up with. help.)
Or the trio being absolute K-pop idols when it comes to karaoke XD (I blame the recently released Netflix movie K-pop demon hunters. The songs just do something to me)
This is what happens when I'm listening to random songs and hyperfixating on something - completely unhinged ideas.
I'm thinking if magic in this world is a common thing and almost everyone has it to some extent or if it's rare, but known about.
I honestly think it's something between these too - it's pretty common, but not everyone has it. It's also probably connected to class-division somehow? But I'm not sure about that.
Also I don't think anyone from the trio (Gi-hun, In-ho, Jun-ho) has magic, or at least not strong one - Gi-hun definitely has a bit of luck magic plot armour, Jun-ho maybe some ability to literally see patterns or something and In-ho the same as his brother although weakened plus some residual dark magic (magical scars go brrr).
If they had the general (elemental) magic, I imagine Gi-hun having air/wind, In-ho fire and Jun-ho probably water. It would be really weak, but still there.
Also all the players that were "killed" and then "revived" have magical scars corresponding with the way they died or their "cursed state".
