Diaspora is officially in the HG publication queue, and available to wishlist on Steam!
As many of you know, this is the culmination of nearly ten years of sporadic work, much of which was accomplished from 2016-2021 or thereabouts, but only just recently completed. Some of its systems are a little dated, to say the least, and as first works often are, this oneās got growing pains, the authors figuring things out as they went, and probably a misstep or two.
But itās also something weāre proud to have started, at a time when we both felt quite lost and uncertain of the future, and finished, at a time when I think most people are a bit lost and uncertain of the future. Many of Diasporaās characters grapple with similar uncertainty, and I donāt think, now that I look back on it, that this fact is at all a coincidence.
Weād really appreciate it if you wishlisted the game if you have Steam, even if you intend to purchase it elsewhere. If nothing else, itāll alert you when the gameās available to buy, which currently seems to be 6 August (this may be subject to change; we have not received official word just yet). The game will hopefully be mostly as you remember, with a few nice upgrades thrown in.
Last of all, weād just like to say thank you. For believing in us all this time, and for still being here to see things finally reach their end. It really shouldnāt have taken us this long, we know, but more than anything, we hope youāre glad itās finished.
