I havenāt posted anything in a while so I thought Iād update all five of you! Lol. My husband and I recently decided to open our marriage and embrace the polyamorous life style. Which sounds great until I remember Iām in the bible belt and may be forever looking. Not even unicorn shopping just...trying to feel complete. Fuck this is hard.
I really want a Medusa tattoo but I cannot find an image I like. Anybody wanna draw me one? *cries* lol

How to write a letter to your deity/deities:
Note: What works for me may not work for you, or you may want to alter or change certain parts of this, but if you like it feel free to use this!
So, seeing as Iām neurodivergent, praying can be quite difficult for me. My mind doesnāt want to stay focused, I get too antsy during it, and so on. So a suitable substitute I found some people use that works for me is writing letters as a form of prayer. Keep in mind I still pray when I actually can, but that is few and far between. In this post I am gonna break down how to write one, and again you can do what you need, prayer isnāt a one size fits all type of thing after all!
1. (This is just something I like to do but you can do so if youād like as well) I always do like a āpre prayer ritualā of sorts before both prayer and writing a letter. I wash my hands, put on their respective playlists (of course one at a time and it depends on which one I am writing/praying to), I put on my veil as well. Then I like to start thinking calming and happy thoughts just go make sure Iām not carrying anything negative with me. I sometimes cleanse my space but I donāt always have the luxury or spoons to do so, so thatās where the music and positive vibes really come into play. Thatās just what I do, but do whatever you like to do!
2. Write the letter. In some ways writing a letter to a deity is a lot like writing a friend. But of course tailor it however you need to suit that deity. Some prefer formal, some arenāt too concerned about that. Hereās what to include in the letter:
A greeting of course! It can be dear, praise, hail, etc. possibilities are kind of endless here, but again itās really up to what the deity likes.
I like to start by thanking them for their presence in my life, for guiding me, for teaching me, and so on. Fairly basic and standard but no less important. Itās a nice reminder that youāre grateful for them.
Then I like to thank them for what they do for humanity as a whole. For example: with Apollo I might thank him for music, poetry, and medicine. With Zeus I might thank him for rain, storms, and his leadership. With Hades I might thank him for taking in our dead, for being merciful, and for watching over our departed loved ones. So whatever the deity youāre writing to does, thank them for it.
If you want/need to ask them something, do so! It can be for help in regards to a job search, or confidence, or good health. (Just make sure this is a two way street. That youāre not just taking but that youāre providing something in return. Not necessarily just in offerings, but in self care, and faith).
Some of them really love it when you tell them the goings on of your life as well. Your accomplishments, your goals, your worries, all of it. Even if you think itās menial, tell them anyway! Thatās part of why theyāre here. So go ahead and tell them about that lovely muffin you had, theyāll be happy to here what makes you happy, no matter how small.
If thereās anything else you feel you need to tell them, tell them! It can be a secret, a stupid joke you thought of, or maybe something you need advice on. Again, this is part of why theyāre here. And again, make sure things are a two way street, just like any relationship with an S/O or friend.
End the letter. This can be done in many ways. I usually end it by thanking them again and writing āpraise *insert deity name here*ā then I just write my initials (you donāt have to do this, this is just a habit I have from when I wrote letters to my friend and various penpals)
Add any finishing touches if youād like. For me I like to do a little doodle of one of their symbols on it, or a small offering. This part is also optional, I just think it makes it a bit more personal and meaningful.
3. Now is the obvious part of this, giving it to them. So for me I live in an apartment so burning or burying it is not an option for me. So each of my deities has their own little box that I put these in along with any small offerings. I do this one at a time as well. I kiss the letter (totally optional, I just think itās a nice touch), place it in the box and walk the box to their altar while thanking them and wishing them well.
4. Once that is done I thank them again (can you tell I was raised in the Midwest and am gen z at the same time where I say thank you constantly lmao), rewash my hands, undo my veil, and relax for a bit while thinking good thoughts. This is where I usually notice that theyāve gotten the letter so to speak. The energy in my room often shifts (in a good way), I become super energetic and motivated and happy and confident and feel practically weightless in a way.
Again, this is just what I do and you may do things differently or exactly the same and thatās totally okay. This is just what works well for me and has made things easier for me. Especially since writing comes way easier to me most times than sitting and reciting prayers. Which I still do from time to time and they still accept it and have let me know theyāre okay with this.
Some times you work with what youāve got. Iām starting a little altar at my desk.
I think Iām part dragon. Sometimes I just crave...stuff? Like right now, I have an almost compulsory need to get a new necklace. Buuuuut, I canāt find what Iām looking for. Sooo....
The first 3 letters of your hometown + the last 3 letters of your name = your inner demon name.

Apparently the current proposed name of the hypothetical ninth planet is Persephone which is such a good name Iām mad I didnāt think of it.
Allow me to explain why itās such a great name:
It pays homage to Pluto, previously known as the ninth planet, since Persephone was Pluto/Hadesās wife in Greek Mythology
It helps make up for the gender inequality in the names of planets, since Venus is the only other planet named after a woman
If it exists, itād be the coldest planet in the Solar System, and in Greek Mythology, it was Persephoneās time spent in the underworld that caused winter
Iām into this
I canāt believe none of the reasons wereĀ āItās what Pluto would want.ā
#if he canāt be a planet at least his wife can
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Plutoās reaction:
What. Thereās another ninth planet now?
Can we please just get Pluto back as well while weāre at it?
Before January ends, Iām going to magically and extremely be blessed by the universe.
Ā Yaāll it is seriously sad how lacking it is to be a pagan/witch/polytheist in the deep south. I canāt even be fully honest with my therapist about my thoughts and such because then I have to debate my beliefs instead of talking about my issues. Its so hard to make friends or have friends because one wrong move or one to many crystals and BAM! your looked at asĀ āto differentā or unstable. Its hard to speak my mind and its hard to seek out others because none of us feel safe toĀ ācome out of the broom closetā so none of us know who its safe to talk to. I feel so alone, everyday. Its pathetic.Ā
Just a wandering hellenic looking to make some new friends.Ā
