“Woah—woah, my goodness. Oh, my. Holy shh…shellfish. Nice catch you’ve got there, bless you.”
“Well I am four feet tall, it practically fell into my hands.”
“My mother told me you were all annoying back in school, I can see what she meant. Even the kids suck.” Janae sighed to herself.
“Wow this place has not changed much at all.”
“That’s not a good thing, right?”
There had been a tiny part of them that had kept its hope of the possibility for a special someone to show up after twenty years, yet after Diaval had searched everywhere, they had realized it had all been in vain. Standing in the Winter Garden, arms crossed over their chest in a locked posture, they did their best to keep in the emotions that were building up inside of them. As they spotted someone in the corner of their eye, they tried to collect themselves and clear their voice in a foolish attempt. “I am terribly sorry. I did not think anyone would be in here.”
Janae glanced up at the tall figure next to her, shrugging her shoulders, “I’m just looking for my mom. I’ve been looking for several hours.” she sighed, before furrowing her eyebrows. The nine-year old scrunched her nose, “What’s wrong? You look like something’s wrong.”
Is this your dog — CAN I RIDE IT?
“Yes, it’s my dog--I mean you can try, but if you value your life i’d say not to.”
Heaving a sigh of relief before realizing the owner of the voice beside him, Simba bit down hard on his lip to refrain from showing a small cringe. “I wasn’t trying to flirt, actually so thanks, I guess, for the reassurance. She apparently thought differently.”
Zira nodded, looking back down to her phone though still listening. It had been a good day, good enough for her to be indifferent to the fact she hated him. "then I see no problem. Who was the girl she thought you were 'flirting with'? Sometimes it's the girl."
“I swear!” Simba exclaimed, letting out an exasperated huff as the girl abandoned him, leaving the boy with a shake of her head. “Did that look like flirting to you? I swear to God, I can’t even do it intentionally.”
Zira looked up from her phone, a shrug coming from her shoulders. "If it was flirting, it was kind of shitty flirting. So no, I'd say no." She shook her head.

Zira shrugged, stepping into the room and settling herself down in a chair. “I wish I could, but it’s like she’s not scared of me. I’ve tried everything.” The girl shook her head, looking over at them with a roll of the eyes. “Hm, while the offer is very tempting, I’m gonna have...
Watching them work, her eyebrows perked up as they talked. "Shouldn't be too hard, I hope. Crushing people never is very hard." She mused. "I know, isn't it? Hm--it is rather beautiful." Zira told them, having moved enough to see the drawing.
Crossing their legs, Diaval moved to finish up the last part of their drawing, perfecting last touches. “That is why you scare your roommate away. Living alone is a lot more —— freeing,” they mumbled, gazing up at her. “You want to be my nude model?” they were mostly joking, but they’d do anything for an reaction.
Zira shrugged, stepping into the room and settling herself down in a chair. "I wish I could, but it's like she's not scared of me. I've tried everything." The girl shook her head, looking over at them with a roll of the eyes. "Hm, while the offer is very tempting, I'm gonna have to politely decline. What were you drawin', anyways?"
“Curious? Is that the case?” they hummed out, settling down their notebook filled with drawings on their bed. “Couldn’t sleep, I presume?”
"Yes, curious. That's the case." She told them with a curt nod, leaning against the doorframe. "You're right. My roommate was being extra annoying today and I had to get out of there."
“It’s just the truth. It’s not fake, I do love your outfit it’s pretty. And I’m not little.”
"Yes, and I'll believe that when pigs fly. You are, sorry to break it to you."
“ —- You know, no one likes a ‘peeping Tom’. Besides, it’s rude.”
"Maybe you shouldn't leave the door open, hm? I got curious." She shrugged.
“Please try the last option, I am sure the world will thank me for that” Meg shrugged, looking away annoyed.
"I would, but i like life a little too much, even though it's filled with idiots like you. So I'll pick the first." Zira rolled her eyes.
“No, I like it. Why would you think that?”
"Because little blonde girls don't tell me they like my outfits without it being fake."
“Why are you being so rude? I was just complimenting your outfit.”
"Because I classify you complimenting my outfit as bullshit."
“Yeah but… but you were nice and happy. You kept smiling and I believe some part of that was real. Not the love part but some part of it.” Shrugging, he gave a soft smile. “I think you are good company, just rough around the edges.”
"Again, magic induced. I never smile, that shit shows weakness. You shouldn't believe it." She shook her head to him. "You're kidding me, right? Please tell me you're kidding."
“Last time we talked you didn’t find me annoying. I was just… I figured you were alone and might have wanted to come eat with me. Have someone to talk to.” He commented playing with the hem of his shirt.
“Last time we talked I was also magically made to fall in love with you. Now i’m not. I like being alone, and i’m fairly sure i’m not very good company, kid. You know me, I’m mean.” she told him, looking at him hard.
